SUCH AN AWESOME MASSAGE!
Natasha is incredible and made my migraine go away by relieving tension in my neck and shoulders! They are so reasonably priced too. I bought two gift cards when I was leaving and I never do that when checking out!
I’d be surprised to find a better massage place at this price and no frills. Very clean and nice massage tables too.

Bad customer service. Our massage was canceled last minute due to an employee having a medical emergency which I understand but the massage couldn’t be rescheduled for another 3 hours and the receptionists appology was insincere and she seemed irritated that I was upset. We were already in route and woke up at 7:30 am to make our appointment. We will never be making appointments here again. You ruined the morning of our anniversary. Never again.

After reading all the great reviews, I was so excited for the couples massage I bought to have a special day with my boyfriend. We showed up about 15 – 20 minutes early to fill out the necessary paper work. Also since I was early, the girl at the front desk said I could pay now to save time later — thought it was a great idea… but I was wrong. With paying, I also left a tip for the therapist on my card. Lesson learned — never leave tip beforehand. Our appointments were for 1:00. 1:05, still no one came to get us…1:10 still sitting in the waiting room. Probably close to 1:15 the two massage therapist came out and apologized for making us wait and not to worry, we were still going to get our full 1 hour massage we paid for. Both of our experiences felt rushed, focused a good amount on the back but no where else. If there were tender points or knots, they barely focused on those. Anyways, sooner than we expected we heard «Okay, your time is up.» Looked at the clock and it was 2:00 on the dot. So much for our HOUR massage we PAID for. And it is not like we were late. We arrived with PLENTY of time to make sure we received our full massage. Just because the staff couldn’t get ready on time doesn’t mean we should have to pay for their laziness and mistakes. Maybe if we actually received our full hour, it wouldn’t have felt like such a rushed massage. Anyways, we will NEVER be returning here again.

I’ve gotten a few massages in the last few years but by far, the one I received this past Saturday was the best. Hands down. Karina was professional. She quickly assessed my needs and goals and set to work. I really think my shoulders are sitting two inches lower!

They don’t use oils, for what they said were health reasons… only lotion during the massage. There was a lot of pinching and what felt like someone giving me an «Indian burn».
Plus they didn’t use my aromatherapy that I picked out. Was only 49 for hour. And they were super nice.

I’ve been having increasing pain in my right side. After saying «Oh it will subside» for the past month, I’ve finally decided to get a massage to see what they could do (since I knew it was sciatic nerve pain and I felt almost handicapped in my right leg).
Michael worked WONDERS! I was so happy I finally went. I targeted the areas that I specified in a deep tissue massage and also gave me pointers on how to relieve my pain in-​between sessions. My pain decreased by 80% and the next time I go, I know it’ll drop down some more.
Other things to note: Getting a last minute appointment was easy and I love the fact that they have crap to see you after (like how Massage Envy does). I’m definitely excited to come back next month. :)

I checked out this place because of the groupon, what a great Swedish Massage — at a great price. Very relaxing and very professional. I will be returning to this location.

Don’t’ even waste your time on Massage Envy. This place is cheaper and just as good of therapists if not better. No contracts either!!!

Though I would love to have a massage every day (who wouldn’t?), I normally only go when I am having some back issues or pain. That said, I am not really looking for a «spa» experience, just a good massage to help ease the discomfort. Zen Massage perfectly fit the bill… they got me in on very short notice, and Tina did an excellent job with a deep-​tissue massage. The best thing about Zen Massage, however, was the lack of the «sales-​pitch» like they give you at Massage Envy. If you want a simple, affordable massage with no pressure or hassles, Zen Massage is an excellent choice.

While my massage was really enjoyable, I was unhappy that I paid $ 75 for an hour long massage and only got 45 minutes. That’s like a $ 20 rip off and plus I gave a pretty good tip. Not sure if I will go back.

I have to admit… I’m a bit of a spa snob. I love the spas where you get lockers for your clothes, plush robes, and have a room inside to relax before your massage. I know Zen does not offer these things, and so I never gave them a try… until Groupon, that is.
The Groupon deal was a good one — an hour massage at half price. Of course, your experience will depend on your therapist, but I was extremely pleased with Tim.
I usually don’t like to see men, but Tim completely put me at ease and was just wonderful. He placed a heating pad on the table for my comfort, and the music was playing very softly. He also gave me a massage just like I like them — light and slow. No deep tissue for me — they hurt too much! Tim was never rushed and made me so relaxed that I actually fell asleep for a minute or two (something I NEVER do).
After I noted in a prior Unilocal review that I would have loved to have a towel to wipe off the oil before putting my clothes back on, they made this change based on my recommendation. Now how’s that for great service?! I’ve updated my rating as a result.

The first time I came here about a year ago I had an appointment with Octavia, when I first saw her she was a little tiny girl and I thought this is not going to be good but she totally proved me wrong. Best message I ever had and I’ve had at least three dozen throughout the world. She worked really hard to relieve my sore muscles and was was very professional. Next time I came back I couldn’t get her but got a massage from another girl, can’t remember her name, she didn’t work all the areas I asked her to because of shortage on time but she showed me some very helpful stretches. I think she teaches yoga also. Last visit was a couple’s massage on V Day, not as great as the other two. The lady wasn’t as professional with her technique, throwing the blanket over me and off me sort of abruptly when massaging my arms and legs. I’ll be back though and hopefully get Octavia. They are also very affordable. I think it was 70 or 80 dollars for a hour and half deep tissue massage.

Got hooked up with a Groupon coupon (thanks Jay). So I came, I saw and my sore back got conquered. No pun intended. Sorry for the pun.
The masseuse was very skilled and worked out all the knots, but the parlor itself isn’t anything too fancy. The walls were thin so you could hear banging and clanging from the restaurant under construction next door. That must be why the music was so loud.
Upon finishing, I was inebriated and lethargic. I don’t even remember my masseuse’s name. I stumbled out to my car feeling relieved, refreshed and drove home in a dilapidated daze. I missed my exit. Yep, It was that good. I just wish it wasn’t in a strip mall and had thicker soundproof walls. That really took away from the ambiance and «zen».

I’ve had a few deep tissue massages and this by far was the deepest! If that even makes sense…
Typical of chain massage parlors the therapists here are Not FT employees but independent. So pending on your therapist your experience will vary. Lauren, my therapist for my recent visit, was extremely good! Two days later I am still sore from the massage, being sore after a deep tissue is typical. I had a lot of knots and she definitely worked them out.
As far as Zen Massage itself, the location is decent. Located in Huntersville, exit 23 of 77, just past the hospital on the left traveling away from the highway.
Prices are typical here, about $ 1 a minute with 60 to 90 minute massages available. For your first visit there is a intro special of about $ 50 and it is def worth it. Get the swedish massage if you just want to get rubbed and walk away feeling good, the deep tissue is for working out kinks! At least that’s my opinion.
This parlor is typical of chains again, nothing spectacular. Your experience will depend on your therapist, and from what others have said they are all good!

With a painful back and stiff shoulders, I made an appointment at Zen a bit on a whim. For $ 50, they offer an hour long Swedish massage — it couldn’t hurt, right?
I made my appointment just a few hours before and hopped over to Zen for some back relaxation. While this location is in a strip mall, inside it’s quite relaxing — soothing music and mini «waterfalls». I only waited a few minutes until my massage therapist, Brian, came and fetched me.
Like a good therapist, Brian asked me a few questions about my overall health, areas to address, areas to avoid and my goal for the massage session. While I didn’t expect him to alleviate all of my back ailments that day, he did a really stellar job. I walked out of there relaxed and in much less pain!
The receptionist was also very sweet and made sure that I had a positive experience. I’m a big fan of this Zen Massage — great service and great massage for an affordable price. If I only could be so zen every day… we can dream, can’t we?!
