So Whataburger is pretty much an institution in these parts and a place I like to dip into occasionally when I’m back in Houston. My last experience at another location a couple of months ago made me swear off Whataburger for a bit but the draw was too strong to resist any longer so I thought I’d give this location a shot. Happy to say that it was a much better experience than the previous one and the exact same sandwich(A.1.Thick & Hearty Burger) was crafted with more care and packed more flavor and satisfaction here than at other franchise on the east side of town. That being said, I don’t think I enjoyed this burger as much as many of the«regular» burgers I’ve ordered from Whataburger over the years. Perhaps my palate has changed or they just don’t make ‘em like they used to. The onion rings aren’t great from a flavor standpoint but they were adequately crispy and fried just long enough. Part of me thinks that perhaps it was because they used«too old» oil. Apart from the food not being as satisfying as I would have hoped, the service was stellar. The gentleman who took my order was patient and courteous. When another employee say that I had to carry out 2 large drinks and a bag full of food myself, she asked if I wanted a tray to carry the drinks. I said«yes» but rather than just handing it to me, she took the drinks and placed them in the tray and then inside a plastic bag and twisted the handles closed in a way that made carrying the drinks much less dicey. She also asked if I remembered to grab straws and when I thanked her for reminding me, she walked over to the dispenser and grabbed them herself and put them in the bag. A small but much appreciated gesture!

It has been years, 2006 Scottsdale AZ to be exact, since I have visited a Whataburger. Not many fast food restaurants do a Patty Melt and not many use fresh beef. The patty melt is delicious! It comes with two patties, grilled onions, Monterey Jack cheese and a spicy creamy pepper sauce that makes the sandwich next level. If I lived closer Whataburger would be a regular stop.

I flew in from NYC and the first thing is did when j left the airport was go to this gem of a location to get the food they don’t want us to have. Buffalo Chicken ranch combo … Man the fresh hot chicken, all white meat and freshness all around was heaven… The French fries fresh as always. The lemon pie unhealthy but shhhhh its okay. I won’t tell if you don’t … And to top it all crisp Coca Cola mixed with Strawberry Fanta. This place never disappoints. Ever!!! I’ll be stopping by again before I go to the airport.

Messed up my burger! So I decided to stray away from the regular burger and try something new. The Buffalo Chicken burger… Well it sucked! I didn’t even get buffalo sauce in my burger or the damn cheese it was supposed to come with. Someone needs to contact me ASAP before I go to corporate with this dumb shit that should of been done right the first time!

I want to give this location 2.5 stars due to it being a stop light from where I live. However, most times my fries are not hot, they are luke warm as if they’ve been sitting for awhile, the employees are not professional and they now have two lanes that are not efficient. While I’m having my order read back to me, I don’t want to hear side convo or hear about who won’t do their job when I get to the window. They asked me to pull into lane B. I take it they’re trying to be more efficient, but this did not work today! I ordered a kid’s meal with a cookie and an extra medium fry. The lady brought me my food and said that she put an extra fry(medium) and an apple pie for the long wait. When I got home, I had one medium fry and no kid’s size fry and I don’t eat their apple pies. I’m going to give the location on W Lake Houston a try.

This place was recommended by our hotel. I had to laugh when he said it was 1000 times better than in n out. This is a goofy burger with a bun that is charred on a grill. The patty was just ok. It really needed some flavor. The fried were just ok as well. I would compare them to McDonalds but a hair better and a bigger patty. On a lighter side, the service was great. The people behind the counter were friendly, informative and even asked what our thoughts were after we ate.

This location rarely gets my order right and it seems as though they try to get over on me. Here are my experiences… I ordered a bacon and potato taquito. The cashier rang it up as potato taquito plus 3 strips of bacon, which is almost 50cents more than a bacon taquito plus potato. But the taquito only had 2.5 strips of bacon, instead of the 3 strips that I paid for. I ordered the exact same taquito the day before at a different location, that had more egg, bacon, and potato for almost 50cents cheaper. Why would the cashier choose the more expensive option? And why would the cook short change bacon that I paid extra for? During the same visit, I also ordered a BOB sandwich, no egg, no cheese. But the cook added cheese. This is something that happens about 70% of the time. If you have an option, choose the 1960 location. If you don’t have an option, just be sure to check your order and your receipt before you leave.

Never any complaints with service or food, but it’s like every other drive thru around Wilson/Beltway: slow. I understand they are supposed to make it when you order it, but still. If you’re on your way to work and need true«fast food» just move to a different area or cook at home.

This is my favorite Whataburger location. It’s not the closest to my work but we drive the extra few miles to eat here. The staff is always attentive and polite. #2 cheese plain and dry with large fry and medium drink NOMNOMNOM

There is a employee here that is over 60. Her customer service is so awesome. The food is average, but she is so great that I have to keep coming back. The breakfast on the bun is not bad also.

This location sucks. They are not clear on the concept of «fast» food. Whether it’s super busy or completely empty, expect a wait of at least 20 minutes for even the simplest of orders. The meat is always tough and overcooked, the orders are usually right, but still cold and take forever. Waiting in the drive-through line is an exercise in futility. This location is a disappointment to the Whataburger name. You could go to Mi Rancho next door in the same amount of time and you get much better food!

Pattymelt was very good. My wife got a chophouse burger, and we both didn’t care for the A-1 sauce on it. Fries tasted great, and the chocolate malt shake hit the spot.
