Good is excellent. We enjoy the grandioso which is fajitas and bacon wrapped shrimp. The beans and salsa are addicting. Their seasonal sides are great too. They have spaghetti squash, seasoned corn, and I think asparagus.

Nice atmosphere. High quality chicken in the fajitas that come with all types of fresh sides. The home made tortillas were fantastic. I would definitely return

Where to start? I was first on the wait list and the party of 3 got seated 15 mins before my party of 2! Hmm… I asked the waitress why when she was seating us. She said because they knew the manager. I mentioned how that was unfair. Good business practice… NOT. Customers should be treated equal with respect and no favoritism. I noticed the mgr keep looking my way as to inform me he knows of the situation yet failed to apologize. Anyway, food was another issue. There was a long wait to get our food. Maybe, the manager was trying to punish us. Oh well, never coming back!

Let me start by saying the food has always been excellent. We have been here several times and the food(while pretty over priced) is consistently very good. BUT the service is hit and miss. And the majority of times we have come it has been very miss. I found that if you for dinner, service is better than at lunch. The servers are not very good at checking back to see how you’re doing. They take your order and disappear until you’re done. I’m thinking next time we want fajitas, we should get them togo!

Like their margaritas! I must say, this place has decent food, but is terribly overpriced! Drink an extra margarita so the sticker shock doesn’t hurt so badly when the bill arrives.

I’ve had some great Chicken Fajitas over the years, but Lupe Tortilla must have been clicking on all cylinders tonight because these were the best Fajitas that I can ever remember eating! The flavor was great, the edges were seared, the portion size was just right, and the boat with all the fixin’s was plentiful(Guacamole, Sour Cream, Pico de Gallo, Lettuce, and lots of shredded Cheese)! In addition, they were served with the most delicious, homemade, paper-thin flour tortillas ever. Fajitas are a staple of mine, and I’ve eaten them at some of the best places in the country(including Ninfa’s, Pappasitos, Mia’s, & Superior Grill), yet these stood above all others. I must admit that I was a little surprised, given the mediocre reviews, but I’m now a huge fan of Lupe Tortilla even though it is a small regional chain. They also serve complementary tortilla chips with Charro Beans & Fresh Salsa, and I found the Queso to be perfectly spiced and cheesy! If you love Fajitas, you should definitely visit Lupe Tortilla!

Best Fajitas and Margaritas in town! Service is great, wait can be a little long but grab a margarita it’s worth the wait!

It’s so hard to rate this place cause the food was absolutely amazing. The chicken little, beef fajita, chicken fajita, salad verde with fajita chicken added and the queso fresco. However the the salad came out without the chicken, so had to ask for that. the dressing was requested on the side which didn’t come out either and that had to be requested multiple times. Other than that small issue this place was 5 star. I can’t say it enough everyone in the party loved their food.

Sat at the bar… The bartender was my server. I got my food before I was able to order my drink. Happy hour started at 3, and I arrived at 2:45 pm. I was debating on waiting for the happy hour, but the bartender left me with no choice because he didn’t get back to me. I had to ask a hostess for a menu because the bartender took approximately 7 minutes to greet me. Then I was super disappointed in the watered down HH margarita. The lunch chicken fajitas were ok. I didn’t get a plate to prepare my Fajita and it took the bartender so long to get back to me that I made it in my hand and ate it messily. I was really annoyed, but oh well. I figured I’d rate my experience and forget it. The bean dip is really good though!

Ordered a margarita at the bar and my order to go at 6:20. After the people to my left and right received their orders(ordering at least 10 to 15 mins after me) I had to flag staff down twice before receiving my food at 7:08. Asked to speak with a manager, which took 10 more minutes. The manager’s response to my concern was«I’m sorry, wish we would have done better.»

Totally Love This Place. The food, service, management & the place is just plain amazing! Ive been here twice with my husband & it always has me coming back for more. The Table Side Guacamole, the enchiladas & the fajitas are by Far the Best I’ve had, the food is just amazing no matter what we ordered everything is always fresh & feels like home made. Thankyou soo much for the great food & service & ask for David he makes the visit worth while.

I thought about giving five stars, because I really enjoy this restaurant. Why didn’t I? The service that I received during one of my visits was truly awful. I often eat alone; so, typically I will sit at the bar. However, one evening my back was hurting, and I asked for a table. The server was obviouly angery that I had been seated at a table for four, and she was absolutely horrible. I have worked in restaurants, and I am very aware that servers depend on tip to make a living. If I would have received good service she would have gotten a good tip! I went to the restaurant to have a nice meal and drink after work; instead, all I remember is her snotty attitude. This experience is not one that I will easily forget, and I regret not asking to speak with the manager.

This location is very close to my house. So we to decided treat our grade school grandchildren for dinner in Monday thinking it would be quick. We waiting 45 minutes to be seated then waited an additional 15 minutes for our server to come take our order. By this time We went through 2 basket of chips already. Big mistake doing this during the week with hungry children. Now I remember why we don’t come here.

This Mexican restaurant is one of the better ones in the Kingwood area. I went with a group, and the host had agreed on a set menu which was: chips, salsa and queso, cheese enchiladas, and chicken and beef fajitas. All of this for $ 16.95 which wasn’t bad(in my opinion). Oh… that price included either iced tea, soda or coffee. My friends ordered carafes of margaritas(a carafe per couple) and were told they were $ 20 each(which I thought was pricey for what they got). I just had the iced tea(and boy was I glad I did that when the final bill came!). The food was good, and I especially liked the flavor of the beef fajitas. I asked the waitress for corn tortillas, and she brought me three of them immediately. Everyone raved about the cheese enchiladas, but I didn’t have any of those. So the food was good, service was very good, and ambiance just fine. Then the bill came. My friends were charged $ 30/carafe of margaritas. OMG!!! I was really glad I didn’t have a margarita. Come to find out, whoever told them $ 20/carafe gave them the happy hour price. The manager came to the table and explained there was some TX alcohol law that wouldn’t allow her to change the price to the one they were quoted. Really? So their bills didn’t get changed to reflect the quoted price. They were not happy, and I’m not sure my friend will go to the restaurant again. That’s up to her. The manager did bring each couple a card for a free appetizer on their next visit. The question is: will they return?

Was in Houston for a quick work trip. Friend took me to Lupe’s. Glad he did! Living in California, I’m not stranger to good Mexican cuisine, but Lupe’s fajitas are on another level. Best I’ve EVER had. Incredible flavor and I’d love to know what they use to marinade the meat. Restaurant was clean. Staff was friendly. Overall a great experience. Only subtracting 1 star because I feel those amazing fajitas are overpriced. Over $ 42 for a pound is nearly double other places. They were good but not 2x the price good. Definitely worth a stop, however. 4 stars!

First time here. 4 people. Between us we had 3 piña coladas, beverages, no appetizer, but 4 full meals and spent $ 100. Not too bad for four. The Flautas are good. Good good. I stole one from my mom’s plate. I asked for my fish tacos to be one mahi and one shrimp on a flour tortilla instead of the crispy shell. The mahi was fantastic but the shrimp one was basically an iceberg lettuce taco with two lingering shrimp. disappointing. The original lupe dish was well received :) It’s a fine place. It’s fine to bring family, but not to have an incredible Mexican food experience.

Party arrived at 6:30 pm, seated at a temporary table near bar area at 7:30 pm, orders taken… SPEECHLESS! Order was taken at 8:06 pm. I would reconsider dining here if you are hungry. If you are like me, and your time is valuable, don’t waste it here. I never thought twice about dining at this restaurant, and after my first and last experience, now I understand why I did not have the urge to visit the chain. I figured the food would be worth the wait, and definitely not. The beef fajitas are very tender, but not flavorful considering it is mexican food. The waiter, Jeff, was very good and personable. He made our party laugh in spite of our hour and a half wait.

Brought my daughters here for their first time as I came with a friend before & loved it. This time, NOTSOMUCH :(Hate that I just paid for us to be treated that way. We came for a snack after the lunch hour rush(2p) between school shopping. I would’ve thought the service would be exceptional considering how slow it was. ITWASREALLYSLOW(6 tables filled) HORRIBLE! I actually had to flag down another server after being seated & getting our drinks just to place our order. Pretty Sad. I asked for extra tortillas too as we ordered queso flameados and they only give you two?! Sadly, they never came when he brought our food :(so when our server FINALLY showed up to check on us I asked again for tortillas as we had already used the two they gave us and yet again she disappeared and showed up 10 minutes later WITHHERMOUTHFULLOFFOOD&CHEWING! I just asked for to-go boxes and the check as I was so irritated at this point. Not that it makes a difference but this was a grown lady NOT a young kid, she should’ve had better manners than to show up at a table while chewing food asking if everything was ok. I briefly thought we were being punked! I WISH! Maybe at least then they’d pick up the ticket for us! Just sad as it seems you can’t get good or even decent service anywhere anymore. If you go, I hope you have a better experience than us. Words of advice to anyone in the restaurant/service business: 1. Treat people how you would want to be treated and if that’s POSITIVELY I am POSITIVE you will be rewarded in life! 2. Don’t show up to the table you are servicing with your mouth full of food! That is NASTY! 3. Don’t make your patrons wait while you are in plain view socializing. Last I checked you make what you earn & you aren’t going to earn much by running your mouth! 4. Don’t go in the SERVICE business if you don’t want to SERVE! 5. You earn what you work for! So don’t be pissed when you don’t get a tip, take it as a hint that your service was poor & you will be too with that attitude. I graciously gave one star as our table and restaurant itself had a clean appearance & the chips tasted crisp/fresh & salsa/pico de gallo was fresh & chunky.

Richard Black runs an amazing restaurant here. He treats everyone like family and he has an amazing memory. If you come in and take the time to meet him he will make sure that you have a great time. The servers, bartenders, and support staff all work like a well oiled machine. The food is always awesome and original. My daugher is a vegetarian and they have her covered. The food is fresh and warm when it arrives. The tortillas melt in your mouth and are warm and scrumptious. The dimension of the service is so refreshing. They are the clear spot at the end of a storm. The place that you cant get enough of. Keep up the good work.

Came here for dinner with my girlfriends and was pretty impressed. Definitely a nice place with a good atmosphere and friendly staff. It took a while to get a table which is understandable with a table of 8 but it was a Thursday so I thought it was a little longer than I would have expected(probably 35 min). The beans were really good. I loved how they bring those out first because after waiting 35 min for a table I was pretty hungry. I would definitely come back. Just would make a reservation if it is a larger party.
