The people here are very polite and informed. They’ve helped me when I needed it, with no problems. So many fabrics to choose from! Feels very homey.

I’m a crafty gal. I do it often, too often. It’s a really a terrible addiction. So when you live on the Northeast side of Houston, where do you go when you need a fix of the good stuff? Yea, that tulle, heavy suede and fabric quarters… Jo-Ann’s. You dirty temptress. Blowing my budget and covering my dress form has never felt so right. Jo-Ann’s is the only fabric store worth a damn out in the Humble area. It is a very old location, so you do get a rather dingy feel walking in but if you can over look it, you can find yourself some schweet deals. They have a fairly good selection of fabric, not always what you’re looking for but you can improvise if it’s not a strict pattern. I usually come for the tulle when I make fairy dresses for my daughter but I am especially fond of their character themed fabric for kids. My kid loves picking out fabrics to make things like pillows. They have a really nice ribbon section as well. This is going to be one of the only places on this side of town that you will be able to find any type of lace or braided trim. They also carry elastic banding, quick stitch and iron adhesive which comes in handy in a pinch. It is the only store that I’ve been able to find sewing machine ready thread and extra bobbins in Humble. I get lost in the buttons and iron on decals. I think I was a hippy in a past life. If it wasn’t for silly things like«fashion police» or «dress code» I’d have patches EVERYWHERE. Maybe I’m channeling my inner hobo. who cares. I’m crafty mayne. Use the Jo-Ann’s app for addition deals. Any coupon for a percentage off will get applied to the highest priced item which is really helpful. The app can also double up on coupons(I got two 40% off coupons just yesterday!) I’m good for now but when I need my next quick fix. I’ll be itchin’ for you Jo-Ann’s.

I use this Jo-Ann frequently and find everything I need. The staff has always been helpful to me, even though I’m not very savvy when it comes to sewing. The location is a little old, but it is always clean. Their selection is very good. I like coming here sometimes just to browse, but I always end up walking out with something.

I don’t know if they are racist or just plain rude. They where all white and they acted like I didn’t have money to by anything. If I could put negative stars I would. Their restrooms smell terrible!
