I’m visiting home, and I got a Unilocal deal for this place because my dad said he loves it. Our waitress was really nice, and the pizza was just plain enormous! It was also really, really good! My dad had a few fried oreos, which he said were great :) I wish they had pizza like this back home!!! :)

Classic hole in the wall bar. We were 2 out of 12 people in attendance. I would guess that the other 10 were locals since they were whooping it up at the bar. Service was ok and price was reasonable. They have a delicious looking Neapolitan style pizza that they serve on large metal trays. I would go back to try the pizza. It looked marvelous.

I am so happy that my boyfriend and I found Daddy’s Beach Club while staying at the Nantasket Beach Resort next door. This is a perfect dive with live music and a friendly crowd. We went in late December and were happy to find a spot that was still open in an otherwise dead shore town. Daddy’s had amazing, crispy wings and the pizza was so good(we got sausage and spinach). A blue grass band was playing and we had a few beers. It was a fun night!

l love Daddy’s! Most excellent pizza on the South Shore(New Haven style). The red sauce makes it really special. The tomato, spinach, pepperoni is our current favorite. The pizzaiolo knows just how to balance the toppings so the pizza is not too heavy and overburdened. Pizza is reasonably priced. Fun at the bar with friendly locals. Raucous, loud and joyful when there is music! Thanks so much, Daddy’s, for your year-round commitment to Hull!

I love this place — but crazy disappointed to call at 9:20 with people on their way to the house and find out they are closed early because«they had a lot of other stuff to do»

The pizza is good. Unfortunately that’s the only good thing about it. The service is horrible. We have been here many times over the past couple years for the pizza but we refuse to go back because the service we have received has been so poor the past few times we have been. One of the last times we went our pizza was clearly dropped and the woman felt bad bringing it over and apologized stating that it was dropped but not on the floor…(Where did it land then?) The cheese and sauce were even off and still someone made her bring it over in the chance we would eat it and not complain. We almost always have the same waitress which is the reason we won’t return. I feel bad she seems overwhelmed every time we go –she is alone on the floor and it is very hard to get her attention. She never writes our orders down and has gotten our order wrong every time, forgotten to bring us our food(like salad or sides) we’ve ordered but will still remember to charge it on our bill, given us the wrong food, drinks, check, etc. It’s happened enough times that we won’t be back.

i went to Daddys cuz I was hungry, but not starving and the kid ay Barefoot Bobs was nice enough to recommend it. I was lucky enough to hit $ 5 pizza nite. The bartender wasn’t very helpful… She said if I ate the pizza at the bar it was $ 5, but«to go» it would be $ 10. So I stayed, but she didn’t tell me if I could have any toppings on it-she just brought me a plain cheese pizza. I ordered a diet soda which was terrible so I had to send it back. The people at the bar were nice, although a bit loud and intimidating for me considering there were only 5 people there. It was my first time there and I think everyone else there on my side of the bar worked there, normally. The pizza was really quite good, I felt really uninformed by the bartender-kind of left out and ignored, it’s not a big bar and I kept having to wave her down. As I mentioned, the soda was terrible(why can’t you just serve cans?) the service was below average considering the place was practically empty. I left as soon as I could as I really needed a carbonated beverage that I could drink to wash down my really good pizza. Some people love pizza and beer. Some people love pizza and a good diet coke… why is that such a problem??? Keep a couple of cans stashed under the bar or something for us, please! Having good diet coke should be a staple for establishments. Do you have to make money on everything you sell? I don’t understand the issue with having good soda on hand. I think it’s almost worth a bad review for bad soda. It can definitely ruin my meal and what’s it cost to have a case on hand to hand over upon occasion for the few of us that complain? It changes our perspective and our meals completely! Isn’t it worth it?

Oy. We went here on a sunday at 1pm. It wasn’t that busy but the food took FOREVER. If I had wanted a long leisurely lunch I would have gone somewhere significantly higher class. When the food(two burgers and a cheese pizza) finally arrived it was good but nothing special. The Pizza was gigantic. Our onion rings never came at all. The drinks were good and the waitress was very nice. She even decided the long island iced tea my friend ordered was made wrong and immediately remade him another before he said a word. Granted, we were here with our 1 year old daughter so we just can’t do loooong food waits like that. Also, there was live music that, in my opinion, was too loud(but my friends really liked).

Beware of nasty bartenders who treat customers poorly. Been going there for a few years and finally fed up with the rude unwelcoming service. It’s a shame, great pizza.

I really liked this place! They have a five dollar pizza special which is a great deal because the pizza is really, really good! The service was also great. Our waitress was really nice and attentive. The drinks were a little pricey, it didn’t quite match the atmosphere. This is definitely a dive bar, but I love that the back wall is open and overlooks the beach. There is no air conditioning though so be prepared to be a little toasty!

Stopped into Hull for a short holiday; off season and liked the ratings Daddy’s had for good pizza, fun people and it didn’t disappoint. My cousin and I, travel buddies, split a pizza and a burger, both were as described, delicious and oversized. I’m pretty picky about fries, these were good too. We met some really people and of course a few local characters. All in all a great night out. Bartenders, servers are friendly and fun.

This place is a fun, local joint. We went during off season, so it wasn’t very crowded for dinner, but they had a good band playing(Blame it on the Dog), the service was good, and the pizza was great. We added our own toppings for the pizza and it was filling, but not too heavy or greasy. Great place for laid back, casual experience.

Location is so great. Walk in and see the amazing view in front of you. Parking is a drag during the day but its worth circling around a few times. Had meatball and green pepper pizza and was so delish. Its coal fired so the crust is not too think.

I’m a local and have been to all of these bars in town(worked in a few) so I think from the«local perspective» I know what I’m talking about. I love this place. Best bar in hull and probably one of, if not the best dive bar on the south shore. The prices are great. Their pizza is phenomenal. Their band choices are also great. I’m a vocalist so I love a fellow vocalist and all the bands I’ve seen play here are VERY entertaining and talented. Every bartender is very nice. You can tell they like their job. Parking is definitely easy at night. During the day you gotta pay. Also, they open the windows wide open so you can enjoy the view, breeze and the best of all, people watching! I haven’t read many other reviews for this place but I’m sure people have written about the locals being a bit. odd…yes they are odd, but you try being cooped up all winter in a desolate town and force yourself not to let loose for the 4 months of nice weather. Don’t waste your time on shitty red parrot(gross, worked there) or barefoots, daddy’s has the best atmosphere, best food(fried Oreos!!!) quickest service, the best live music and most importantly best prices. It’s the non-crazy local favorite. Your welcome :)

Decent service. Decent beer. Decent prices. Really good fried Oreos. Not much else to say about this place. If you have under agers don’t try to get in if the place is crowded the owner won’t let you past the door even if you are just looking to eat.

Cold drinks, live music, great food, relaxed vibe, ocean views topped off with friendly service! We were in Nantasket Beach on one of the rainiest and coldest weekends of the summer. With the cold and rain there was not a whole lot to do in a beach town, but Daddy’s more than made up for it. It was right next to our hotel so we figured we would run in for a bite to eat. The bite to eat turned into staying until closing time, both nights we were there. The staff, especially the general manager Paul, were so friendly and fun! Being from Chicago it’s rare that pizza in other states even compares to deep dish, but the red and white New Haven style pizza was delicious. Would definitely go back!

We keep giving this place a shot and the food is decent but they make a lousy drink. Measured shots? On Nantasket beach? Really? Daddy, make a decent drink and you’ll get a crowd.

Yesterday, while much of the East Coast was getting a too early in the season snow-fall we on the South Shore had high winds and a raging rain-storm. Late in the day, hubby and I took a drive to Nantasket Beach in Hull to watch the surf. The waves were high and pounding and it was exciting to be there with all the drama of Mother Nature unfolding before us. While there we ran into another couple we know who’d had the same idea. Chatting outside in a rain-storm with high winds is difficult so we decided to run across the street and grab a beer together at Daddy’s Beach Club. I’ll start by saying that I’m not a dive bar kind of a gal. No offense at all to those who are, but I’ve yet to find one that leaves me wanting to linger. This place was no exception. We walked in bedraggled and wet and perhaps that alone made this the perfect place to be. No one batted an eye at us as we bellied up to the bar. What this place does have going for it, was a friendly bartender and an eccentric assortment of fellow bar-flies who chatted us up. There were a few beers on tap, nothing thrilling though and a menu with typical bar food fare. We each ordered a beer and then a large mushroon and onion pizza. Our friends also ordered some jalapeño poppers and mozzarella sticks. Things came out of the kitchen a little too quickly for comfort. I didn’t eat the sticks or poppers but the word was they were so-so. The pizza was a huge thing and was just okay. I had a couple of slices and called it a day. It’s a big space, with all kinds of twinkling lights and stuff hanging off of every rafter. It’s very dim in there and I noted a small stage. Apparently some evenings, local bands play there. I felt glad that I didn’t have to use the loo because it seemed like the kind of place you might not like what you find in there but in all fairness, I didn’t see it so it could be clean as a whistle. While we were there music played in the background with some of the patrons trying to guess what year each song was from. We had a pleasant time catching up with our friends as we dried off. We enjoyed chatting with the bartender too but honestly, this is a place I don’t think any of us would rush back to visit. We keep hoping Hull is going to surprise us one of these days with a great place to go, bar or restaurant. Sadly, that time has yet to come. We’ll stick with the beach.

Decided to venture back to Daddy’s as after my last experience where we just weren’t waited on, I still needed to cash in my Groupon. We walked in around 5:30pm on Labor Day. I figured because it was on the early side that it would be relatively calm but boy was I wrong. For whatever reason, karaōke was already taking place at this hour so here we were, stuck with it again. It really was remarkable how absolutely SMASHED the people singing were at this early hour — so much so I don’t think many of their words weren’t slurred. I get it, it’s a bar, but 5:30pm? There was a family with children trying to eat dinner, probably after a nice day at the beach. I will say that this time around, the service was 100% better. Our waitress was quick to come over, attentive and got our food out quick. The pizza is good, but not SO good that I would endure the atmosphere of this place again. Ours could have been cooked a little longer and there was an overabundance of garlic powder on both of our pies. I like garlic, but this was too much. If you want to try the pizza here, I would sincerely suggest calling ahead for take out. The atmosphere here, even for a bar, is pretty unbearable.
