I think Vern and his very rude over the phone wife retired years ago, just haven’t let any of their customers know yet. We cannot get a return call from them or an appointment for a very expensive non working tub we bought through them and only THEY can service. We have been forced to deal direct with Artic Spa in Canada.

As new homeowners with a pool and spa we reached out to this Hudson company in hopes of building a relationship for the long term. This is not to be the case. Although they’ve been in business for ’30+ years’ there was ZERO tact in handling our concerns. I believe the owner(Vern), came out several weeks ago to give us a quick tutorial on operating both pool and spa. We were left with many questions as the tutorial was not very helpful. We asked if there was any information in a hard copy and his reply was, «I think so. You have to go to the store and ask the girls though. I’m just the owner.» We later not only received $ 150 fee for this consultation but also an invoice for $ 293.56 for a pool closing they never even performed. Naturally, we called the company to discuss these bills. They said the pool closing was a mistake but never apologized. When we voiced our concern for the consultation invoice due to the incomplete service we received, the owner’s wife took it personally, raised her voice, was EXTREMELY rude and disrespectful, and threatened to take us to small claims court. We never said we were not going to pay the fee, but we were looking for some better service so we could understand how to properly care for our pool and spa. We never even got that far due to the belligerent comments and shouting from the owner’s wife. We will pay this undeserving fee, but we shall forever not recommend the services of Hudson Pools and Spas to family, friends, and neighbors. Their disrespectful treatment over the phone is absolutely appalling.
