For those reading the GDM comment to my review, please consider: 1. Why GDM realtor would recommend and list a too high listing price, based on false and misleading, too high comps? To «buy» the listing, in violation of MLS rules. GDM silence here speaks volumes. 2. Why GDM realtor would do 1. above, then long after the fact, allege that the property was substandard? Either lying then, or lying now. 3. And why lie that seller didn’t act responsibly, when GDM knows that minor issues raised by buyer were promptly addressed? 4. And also why lie that radon wasn’t mitigated, when in fact it was mitigated enough and confirmed in followup testing as reported to us by GDM realtor, and buyer still pulled out? 5. Why GDM realtor would conduct business without knowing how to operate email, and use phantom address she wasn’t even aware of, with her own name misspelled? 6. Again, buyer, seller or renter: beware GDM’s so-called«services».

It looks like more people have had a similar terrible experience with Gary DiMauro since I last posted. I can only say renters beware. I am still smarting from my experience.

The SLUMLORD of Tivoli. As another reviewer said, charges you for cleaning services when the apartment was filthy and full of crap from previous tennants when you moved in originally. Avoid if you can! Overpriced, bad service. There are other cheaper, better options out there!!! Seek them out.

Avoid Gary DiMauro at all costs. His business exploits first time renters and the college funds of their parents. He doesn’t need to keep his renters happy because they all rent fewer than three years. He has a great business model but he is a truly terrible person. His apartments are dirty and decrepit and extremely over priced. If you rent from DiMauro, you will not be happy. I’ve lived in Tivoli for three years and I have not heard of one renter who has been happy with DiMauro’s service. Many people actually move apartments because they hate their landlord so much.

Gary DiMauro is the worst of the worst without actually breaking any laws. His properties are filthy and barely livable. As the other reviewer states he owns most of the rental properties in town so you have to deal with him and his cronies. His office is located in 58 Broadway, Tivoli, NY12583. If you have deal with him or his agent Tracy, be aware! They will charge you for every little thing(like not cleaning up after the previous tenant and blaming it on the new tenant) and the place is just falling apart. They are just not nice. You pay good money(very expensive rent since there is nothing else around) for housing you would think the«landlord» would be nice as well. Well, forget that. Avoid this establishment at all cost if possible. If you have to deal with them, get everything in writing up front. What’s damaged, what they will do and will not do, etc. They will somehow rip you off anyway.

As a Bard student it is a well known fact that Gary treats his residences with distain. Since he is buying up everything there is no way to avoid interaction with him or his company if you are renting in Tivoli or even Red Hook. Although alot of us are young we are all still customers and should be treated with respect. You would think it would be bad for business to be called the Slum Lord of Tivoli but when you maintain a monopoly and all your costumers leave within three years then I guess you get away with belittling half your businesses patrons. I feel a little ill thinking my rent money went to that Beamer.
