Nice waterfront location, with outside dining available. You get the impression that they are mostly a fish restaurant, but I had the seafood platter and was unimpressed. My shrimp was very over cooked, and the soft shell crab was soggy. The fried whitefish was nice and moist though. I also had the chicken salad wrap. It was surprisingly good. Our server was great, I don’t know how she stayed so pleasant to the ladies behind us. Every time she came to our table, the ladies behind us would start interrupting her with«excuse me» «miss» and even a flemmy whistle noise, all while she was trying to take our order. It’s not like they needed anything. most times they were asking questions. Through it all our server was great and patient.

I’d heard a lot about this place and had high expectations coming in. I thought the service was rushed for a fairly slow night, and the food was good. I especially liked the shrimp and grits — though presentation was a bit lacking. The mahi sandwich was so-so and mushroom caps appetizer really did not work for me.

I’m a visitor from out of state, I’ve been here many times. It’s one of the TREATS of this neck of the woods. Beautiful site, relaxing, you’re on vacation! Unique, lovely lake view(though outside tables’ view is blocked by the bar table counter span), yummy food, and DITTO on the shrimp & grits! A must-go for this area.

Nice location on the water. We ordered a couple beers, cobb salad and a crispy fish sandwich. Food was good and sitting on the water made it taste even better.

Boondocks is a fantastic spot to stop and enjoy delicious food right on Little Lake Harris. They always seem to have something with a new twist on the menu that is worth trying. It’s a laid back, fun spot with friendly service!

Two former neighbors who moved to Leesburg brought me and my wife here where we shared lunch. The service was good. The two entrees I tasted were good. The fried oyster po’boy was very nicely done. the weinerschnitzel sandwich was good also. I wished it was a little thinner. The location is fantastic!

The service sucked. The special said«served with soup or salad» It was served, but we had to pay an extra 4.99. The waiter said everything was charged seperate after the fact. The menu should of not said«served with». Will not go back!

Met for lunch here with a group of about 15. Took a while for wait staff to serve us water or take a drink order. Had to order my drink when when I ordered my meal. Over all it was good. Great space that I imagine is fun in the summer.

Very disappointing! Server was descent but bartender gave my friend attitude when sending back wine after one sip. He a tempted to belittle her. What a sad little man with an unprofessional attitude! Two of the items had very unusual seasoning.(Red fish and chicken) On the positive side the desserts were very good.

The lemon grouper was fresh and absolutely delightful. Only the accompanying steamed veggies were overcooked.

Made our first visit to Boondock’s recently. The atmosphere is very nice. Our server was very good. The food this night, not so much. In particular the Fried Shrimp Platter. It is described as «…Jumbo white shrimp hand breaded and deep fried…». On paper that sounds pretty good. Conjures up a very nice satisfying dish. But what was served were shrimp that were not jumbo but flat, thin. They were over cooked and what shrimp was evident was dry. Everybody has had fried Jumbo shrimp and no doubt all would’ve have been disappointed and wonder how could a restaurant present thin overcooked shrimp-less crusty things as these. Fried calamari was good. The corn fritters that came with the«shrimp» were very good as was the mango cheese cake desert. But no need to return if they cant deliver on the main entrée that really was unacceptable.

Came with a riding group. Stopped for lunch. View is great. Service was great. Had the clams(one of the day’s specials), they were good. Nice sauce, my bf thought it was a little overpowering, but I liked it. Tuna melt was actually pretty good too. Had another special: the combo basket. Had fried fish, shrimp and plantain chips. Was very good. Took some photos of the other’s meals. They said the burgers were delicious, the salads were good and everything looked like it had been bought from a farm down the road. Everything was very fresh looking and tasting. The sandwiches and salads were reasonably priced. The entrees looked overpriced but if they’re really good, then they wouldn’t be. But we didn’t have any of those items.

Gorgeous lake views, building is right on the water. The staff members were very polite and courteous. Our server was on top of drink refills before I’d even gotten to half a glass. Service was prompt and our food was exactly as ordered and quite filling.

We have a Meetup group that bring allot of business over the passed years. They charged use for each slice for cake for a cake we provided. We will not use JB Bonndocker’s for any Meetups again and we are notifying our 1200 member too boycott JB Bonndocker’s.

Laid back is no exaggeration when describing this place, located on the banks of Lake Harris it offers a gorgeous view in a park like setting. I stopped in for lunch while driving through the area on business after getting a recommendation from an associate. Looking around it was obvious the recommendation might have been made because of the limited amount of restaurants in the area. Once I arrived I could see how some could be attracted to this place although I kept my expectations in check being the looks of this place isn’t so different than a lot of places in rural Florida. It definitely has that«Old Florida» charm. I was immediately greeted and seated at a table along the window side of the restaurant which really shows off the view of the lake you might say the best seat in the house but looking around there aren’t really any bad seats anywhere even the bar shares the same view as the restaurant side since the layout is very open. I alway try and review the total experience although some base their reviews solely on the food as important as that is I understand few restaurants offer 5 star menus or can deliver that level in these types of settings. The service and atmosphere was exceptional for a quick lunch or I’m guessing a happy hour stop for the locals. I opted for the pork sandwich an offering you don’t see often in Florida, I’ve experience this menu item many times in the Mid-west but it’s always been referred to as a «pork tenderloin» no matter what you call it I liked it, add a thin spread of spicy mustard a fresh slice of tomato and fresh leaf lettuce and it’s pretty tasty in my opinion. The pork was almost twice the size of the roll which made this carnivore pretty happy served with a small portion of fries and some unsweetened iced tea I had no complaints. I would definitely stop in again.

Lots of homemade stuff on the menu. The homemade french fries were very good and Chris. The battered french fries were delicious and definitely two thumbs up on that. Sweet potato fries were delicious and super crispy. Fried shrimp was very good fish sandwich was delicious and I had the sliced prime rib sandwich with peppers and onions delicious. I’m told on Wednesday night they have a Southern comfort food night starring the meatloaf dinner. I’ll be back Wednesday.

Had a great meal;) Our server was Victor, he was very personable timely. Tonight’s special was chicken pot pie and it was tasty. We also had the boondocks burger and homemade chips, it was excellent! We had a pup on the patio which was also a bonus, great dining experience :)
