This was my first time here with my girl and on arrival I saw it was busy with only 2 workers and an Old Man. The two girls were ok friendly, but we were attended by the old man. He wasn’t the brightest or friendly, just serious face and seemed to be annoyed that we kept asking for samples. In the end, as my girl was paying he just did a sighed because apparently we were taking too long to get her wallet out. The sigh was unnecessary and I did not appreciate that this old man did that. If he hates his job why work there. The service ruined the ice cream experience and I am not coming back.

The ice cream here is mediocre and overpriced. The ice cream was nothing special.

I’ve passed this place so many times but never had time to go. Today I did and boy was I glad I did. Omg! So many flavors so little time. I could spend all day in there trying every and all flavors and combinations. Although I would probably look like a sumo wrestler when I finally leave. The lovely girl behind the counter let me taste a few.mmm.I ordered a small cup of apple pie ice cream with caramel. oh I just went to ice cream taste bud meltdown. ridiculously sinful. I know I will pay for that later but so worth it!!! My friend got chocolate dream. Which was chocolaty goodness and over indulgent, so rich.mmm.definitely worth a trip or 1000 back to try more flavors. didn’t get to try the smurf which I wanted too but the witches brew was delectable and would make an awesome milkshake. the apple pie had chunks of apples and cinnamon. .only thing it needed was chucks of graham cracker or pie crust.yummy. so if your bopping down rt.9 definitely come in and sit and try a few flavors. and you try and decide what’s the best. too difficult.so many flavors so little time… I will admit I do have my other favorite places which have better ice cream but this place does have decent ice cream. I do like the fact that they have a ton of flavors.

Service is friendly, efficient and helpful. Plenty of parking. The store is very bright and clean. There’s a huge selection. I’ve never seen so many flavors! I usually get some fat-free sugar-free. The ice cream itself is delicious, very high quality. If you love ice cream, this is the place for you!

Every flavor that you can imagine and then more. They make the ice cream onsite. Fat free/sugar free options, soft serve, and regular. They employ kids for the summer and everyone is really eager to help and they work quickly despite always being packed. I always look forward to Spring when Ice Cream on 9 opens and Summer when they stay open later(until 11P!).

This was only my first time there, but over it seems like a great little ice cream shop. Tons of flavors to choose from, and there was an entire wall of store-packed take-home flavors, including some really interesting one, and also sugar-free varieties. Staff was friendly. We stopped there early on Saturday night so the crowd wasn’t really there, but I’m sure it gets insane when you hit the witching hour. Would definitely be back.

Was very disappointed in the staff, they could not answer any allergy questions. Then as I was paying, I mentioned it to the owner, his response was«they’re only 16.» Maybe train them better or at least direct my questions to you. The fact that no one, including the owner was unable to answer my questions about ingredients was disappointing. Isn’t it supposed to be homemade? Plus it’s cash only, a big turn off for me. We were a large group.

They treat the workers terribly, they take their tips, don’t give underage workers breaks as stated by law, and they’re very unsanitary and cheap. Would NOT recommend

Heaven, I am in Heaven… what can I say but thank heaven for Ice Cream On 9. Since Jersey– or the East Coast does not have a Farrells Ice Cream Parlour this is as close to one as I am going to get– minus the candy store, the Zoo, the awesome food… But I give props where it is deserved and they have some tasty frozen goodness here. There is a flavor for everyone. Here I have a choice of over 80 ice creams — could be more– there is soft serve, hard pack, and Italian ice even shakes I think. There is a freezer wall like at the market with pints, gallons and party size buckets of frozen happiness, so sometimes I just stop off on the way home and grab a flavor from the case as a treat for after dinner. So here is what I love– Italian Watermelon Ice, the NY Cheesecake scoops, Mint Oreo Cookie or the soft serve vanilla/chocolate cone and ice cream upside down in a cup with the chocolate dip poured over the top !!! They only take cash which is why its four stars– even though they have an ATM who really carries cash anymore? And if I take MiniMe with her crew— ya that can add up to a lot of cash out of my wallet.

Great selection of ice cream, many flavors, and everything is good. But they’ve gotten VERY pricey over the years. Used to be a good value, now — it’s just too expensive. And the staff always seems stressed out. I go to a different ice cream place now.

This place has more flavors and options than any other ice cream parlor. It is delicious too! However, it is spoiled by poor customer service of whom I assume is the owner. A friend, my husband, and I went there one evening shortly before closing. There were about 7 other customers enjoying their ice cream as well. A man walked around shutting off lights in freezers and unused parts of the shop, eventually he turned off all the lights while all 10 of us were still eating! I get you want to go home but lock the door and have someone stand at the door letting people out. Don’t be rude and turn the lights off on your customers! The neon lights were bright enough but I still felt like were getting kicked out. I will never be a patron there again. There are more ice cream shops to enjoy and are not rude at the end of the night.

I am glad we found this place. So we went out to Point Pleasant Beach for the day from Pennsylvania. Coming across 195, my buddy goes«This exit has a White Castle. I haven’t been to White Castle in years. Can we stop at White Castle on the way home?» I have no reason to say no, so that is the plan. While in Point Pleasant Beach, I decide I want ice cream. But being it is a Monday in October, all of the ice cream places on the boardwalk are closed. So we stop at White Castle on the way home. Across the street is an ice cream parlor. Double Win. After White Castle(it’s a White Castle like any other, not really deserving of a review), we go across the street to Ice Cream on 9. The place really isn’t anything to look at from the outside, but you go inside and it’s an old-fashioned ice cream parlor. I was overwhelmed by the size of the place. On the left are ceiling-to-floor freezers with packed half gallons to go. In the back is the sugar free ice cream and the ices. On the right side is the ice cream waiting to be dipped. We decided there was 96 different flavors(6 freezers of 16 choices each and we didn’t notice any duplicates). So after going through and narrowing my choices and then finally making a decision, the next decision is size. Did I want small, medium, or large? I chose medium and immediately regretted it since it really was a lot of ice cream. I had a peanut butter oreo that was very good. The two young women who were working that evening were very pleasant and very professional. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about the place.

Ice Cream on 9 has a large and unique selection of ice cream and fudge. They also have plenty of places to sit both indoors and outdoors. Open till 11:00pm but they only accept cash. This is probably my favorite place to go for ice cream.

This is my childhood! Fourteen years my family has been customers there! We’ve even eaten at the Grillin’ on 9 section when it was open(and the food was great too!) Their ice cream is fresh and has a clean taste, which stumps you when you’re trying to pick what to get next! Their fudge is amazing too!

100 flavors of ice cream! Woo Hoo! Do I really need to write anything else? The worst part about my visit was trying to decide what to get. After whittling down the endless, appealing choices, I eventually decided on a waffle cone with a scoop of Peppermint Patty and a scoop of Almond Joy Coconut. I almost finished the whole thing, but not quite. I am SO happy I found this place so close to home, but how in the world is there no Duke or Dutchess, let alone any regulars here? No worries. I got this.

Straight up good, creative, homemade ice cream with plenty of toppings to choose from. 120 flavors(except french vanilla). My shortest review because you just have to go yourself and experience it.

This place is fantastic! Wish it was closer to us, but it’s worth the 20 – 30 minute drive for blueberry cheesecake ice cream — YUM! PS. Good luck trying to choose a flavor(they have a zillion!)

I LOVE Ice Cream on 9. They have so many different flavors. And they make Black Raspberry Ice Cream milkshakes. You can’t get those anywhere! I have been going there for years. Can’t wait to go back. Only reason why I gave Ice Cream on 94 stars is because they are a little too pricey.
