Not bad but not great. Pretty nice indoor pool, rooms a but run down. The hot tub wasn’t very hot and the jets really don’t work much except to bubble. The breakfast didn’t have much to offer. It wasn’t on the bed bug registry like the Holiday Inn next door, so that is why I selected it for our 1 night stay. Don’t need any bed bugs so I always check before I stay anywhere. This one had no reporting so that is a plus for me!

This place actually only deserves one star but I will I explain why it gets two at the end. I was expecting a whole lot more from a place that is owned by Wyndham. I can’t say much for the staff because apart from check-in, we did not really interact with anyone. The free breakfast was kind of lame. I was there for six nights and got sick and tired of Belgian waffles. They also need to put out larger coffee cups because the tiny ones they have just don’t cut it. I am not expecting venti sized cups, but come on! The room: oh, where do I begin? Like most people, I like staying in expensive hotels. I mean, who doesn’t? However, I am perfectly capable of staying in more budget friendly hotels and enjoy my stay just as much(check out my review for the Residence Inn in Auburn Hills, MI). Anyway, also like most people, I expect a hotel to be relatively well kept and most of all CLEAN. This place was neither of those things. I can get past the outdated décor, but not past how shabby it was. Peeling wallpaper, chipped furniture, holes in the bathroom linoleum, cigarette burns on the edge of the tub. As for the cleanliness: this place gave me the willies. I attached pictures of the disgusting dirty wall in our room and the nasty recliner. Ugh. I had to get an extra sheet from housekeeping to throw over it so I could actually sit on it. Also, they seriously need to invest in some new pillows. Like NOW! The pillows were old, lumpy, misshapen things that were barely larger than your average throw pillow. They were insanely uncomfortable. Let’s just say that these are the kinds of pillows I would expect to find in a hotel where you don’t expect to spend the night and leave it at that. I have slept on hospital pillows that were more comfortable. I went onto Facebook and messaged Baymont on our first or second night to mention these things to them and they did actually respond. They told us that each location is independently owned and operated. Well, Baymont needs to revoke the owners franchise because they are not operating this place well at all. So about the number of stars: 1 star: for the location. We have a sick family member in Howell and this was cheap and convenient. 1 star: because after following up with Baymont via Facebook after our return home, the corporate office must have contacted the property and they refunded us two nights out of the six we stayed. So the extra star is for customer service alone. There aren’t very many hotel options in Howell and these guys really need to step up their game. Big time!

This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Breakfast was a disgusting joke waffle iron out of order ok machine out of order yogurt out of date milk warm etc. Pool was a dull shade of green hot tub did not work(she told me they were just working on it but I see from a previous reviewer it’s been broken at least 7 months. Word of warning stay away

It is very convenient to I-96, but the entrance is tucked behind the outlet mall and not very well-lit. The décor needs an update, but clean. The shower could use a little more pressure, but the beds were comfy. The hot tub jets had the heads off, so it bubbled up on the surround and didn’t add to the hot tub experience.

Very friendly service. The room was clean and warm. Towels were soft. Water pressure was really low and bed was really hard and lumpy. This place was perfect for my one-night stay, but I would probably look for a more comfortable spot if I had to stay any longer.
