Staff was very friendly, breakfast wasn’t the best. The same thing everyday and we stayed a week. We ate out for breakfast every day if that tells you anything. They did have good coffee with flavored creamers. They were remodeling and the breakfast set up was crammed into 2 hotel suites. The pancake machine was out of order because it kept tripping the breaker in one room, they could have placed it in the other suite they were using as a mini dining room but they didn’t. If I had read the details before booking I wouldn’t have stayed since it is pet friendly and I can’t even think about the floor I walked on. Was only woken up twice from dogs barking. The atmosphere was mixed, I seen business folks come and go, the workers wore what looked like scrubs from good will who often stood out front smoking on breaks. A couple of nights the elevator wreaked of marijuana so we took the stairs. The pool was ok and very warm which was nice. No hot tub. The curtains did not close all the way which was a big deal to me! I like the room to be completely dark, and it had a good foot open and right where there was a light post outside, wonderful! Our biggest surprise was after our 5th night we asked for our bed linens to be changed and the next night we all were ate alive by bed bugs and somehow my daughter got head lice! Was so upset! Never will we stay here again! The lady at the desk gave us 1 night free. Thanks.

The hotel would receive five stars except for a few minor concerns. The tub in our room drains very slowly. When I let the front desk know I also alerted them to the fact that there are five men out front drinking and there are beer bottles laying every where around them. She told me not so worry because they work and basically live here and that is like their front porch. Well, it’s still weird and I can hear them from my window. Even if they are harmless like the lady at the front desk says, it still makes the hotel look trashy.

Unlike other reviewers, we had a terrible experience here! We got great, friendly service upon check in but it was downhill from there. The hallways and elevator smelled like cigarette smoke, the air conditioning unit(or something else?) smelled strongly of mold. The radio alarm went off loudly at 5 am. Then the phone rang repeatedly with no one on the other end. Housekeeping knocked on the door, hours before check out, waking us up for the nth time. We decided to just cut our losses and leave; on the way off the elevator we encountered a huge puddle on the tile hallway(and missed the caution sign tucked cleverly in a corner around the bend). I fell, dropping laptop and luggage and spilling both hot beverages. The person with the mop simply continued to cleaning, dabbing around my feet. Bottom line: avoid this place if you have any breathing issues like asthma or are allergic to smoke. Or, if you’re looking for a good night’s sleep.

We always stay in this hotel when on a long trip on I-80 and need a good night’s rest. The staff is always friendly and greets me as an IHG member. The rooms are clean and so is the pool. The free breakfast is nice as well. Nice hotel. Relaxing stay. Very quiet at night.

It’s been several years since we’ve stayed at a Holiday Inn and this has been a very nice experience. Super clean, quiet, upgraded bedding– very comfortable. Quiet ventilation! The room was spacious. Breakfast was also good. We usually skip hotel quick breakfasts because most items are pre packaged and have high fructose and hydrogenated oils. This location has fresh fruit, oatmeal and honey, half and half that you can pour, not open tiny cups. Friendly and upbeat staff at the front desk. Overall everything was clean, comfortable and provided a good value(especially with corporate lodging rates).

Neat as a pin, SUPER friendly front desk clerks and housekeeper, fast service even at 3AM, bountiful continental breakfast — we stay here every time we’re passing through and always know we’ll be in good hands in Howe! Edited to add: Stayed here again on our return trip. The exercise room is small(3 machines) but the treadmill, at least, seemed to be brand new, had all the bells and whistles, and worked great. The free breakfast was awesome!(For a free breakfast, anyway. I wasn’t expecting Chez Panisse.) They have an automatic pancake-making machine, of all things! And pretty much every other kind of breakfast item you could want, even sausage biscuits with gravy.

Nice, clean, friendly. The only thing keeping this from a 5* review is that it’s a little dated. I’ve stayed at recently-remodeled HIEs and they’re superb. I’ve stayed here several times and will again in the future.

These beds look comfy! The shower was nice, and… …FLUFFYTOWELS! This makes me happy. What does not, is that AFTER a few pretty good discounts, our one-night stay is $ 100! GEEZ! Maybe that’s just me, but that seems pretty steep compared to some of the other places we’ve been staying at. This Holiday Inn Express has the same amenities as other hotels(free Internets, continental breakfast, HBO, pool, etc.), but I suppose it’s just a tad less skeezy. Okay, okay, the hall still has that funky cheap-hotel smell, but the rooms ain’t bad. And I’m digging this comfy leather office chair. FTW. DK, stop complaining. This nice.
