They always have friendly staff. Sometimes they let you hold the cute animals! I always come here to buy my birdseed.

Time for an update!
I wanted some fruit trees for my yard, so naturally I thought of the plethora of options and Wabash. What a wonderful experience I had there.
First, everyone greets you with a smile and a hello. They have puppies and cats and bunnies and chickens to view and sometimes pet. The non-​citrus trees are in the back and include gorgeous apricot, peach, pomegranate etc. All are bred to be grown in Houston climate (Wabash won’t sell you anything that won’t thrive here). The citrus tree is where we found our new additions. I selected two blueberry bushes, an orange tree and a meyer lemon tree, and the gent who worked there was so immensely helpful and genuinely excited by my choices that it put a smile on my face. He recommended certain soil treatments, gave me planting instructions, and helped load everything in the car. I couldn’t be happier with my experience there, so I had to bump Wabash up an additional star.
As a side note, my trees and bushes are in the ground and are enjoying their new home!

I am a nature lover so this place is a paradise for me. People who are interested in animals, plants and so on will definitely love this place as me.
For me it is even fun to walk through this sore, looking at big variety of their items. I like this place because everything is on the highest level there.
The workers are knowledgeable, ready for help, they will explain everything you need. And the prices. The items are not expensive there.

I finally found at Wabash the horticultural corn meal I was looking for the brown patches of my St. Augustine lawn. Service was good, they helped me load my car with the two 50 lbs bags I got for $ 15 each. I will definitely come again.

We came across with this store because a friend of mine was looking for some seeds that we could find at Walmart, Home Depot and Nurseries (we went to more than one), so I decided to google a store in Houston to buy seeds and I call Wabash, since I called the first time I got an excellent customer service over the phone, they help us finding the seeds we were looking for. When we arrived they helped my friend who does not speak english, one of the guys at the store speaks spanish. Is an amazing store for those who love plants, animals, antiques and more. Is a great store in the middle of Houston.

We came here for chicken feed and hens. The people at the store are very friendly and helpful. They don’t have many varieties but a good number of chickens. They also have little chicks, pigeons, rabbits and even peacocks. A little gem in the city of Houston!

Always the best fruit trees for our area… Betty, Devon, Lea, Diane, John, Chris et al make the experience just like bein’ back on the farm.

I love coming to this place. There are cute puppies, birds and kittens for sale. They seem to be well-​cared for. They sell all sorts of feed, homemade candles and things for outside such as decorations and outside patio furniture. I like that they sell homemade goat milk soap and organically made products. They sell plants, seeds and all sorts of other things. It’s worth checking this place out!

Cool place, which also got some live animals (bunnies, chicken, roosters, turkeys, quails, cats and dogs); metal garden art, local produce, honey.

I just love this place! They have fruit trees, herbs, veggies, chickens, puppies, kittens, eggs and a gazillion more things than I can list here. I like to go and just browse around. I always find something I hadn’t seen before and I never leave empty handed.

Wow. I must say. This is a one stop shop for the plant, exotic/​Texan-​y animal, and feed store. I wandered in while my car was getting washed next door. I spent over an hour just exploring! They have a range of items like great outdoor garden decorations, fresh eggs from their chickens, and flowers.
The herbs are also fantastic. They have Texas friendly herbs and phenomenal variety, esp in the oregano varieties. In addition to mint, they also have some nice tea flavoring plants. Sadly, no air plants. They have a great variety of heirloom seeds for you truly planty people out there :). Don’t forget to grab some bug spray on your way out!

They had a pretty good selection of plants and a lot of garden décor (mostly metal statuary type stuff). They have a few types of chickens, rabbits, and doves. Inside is a pet section with food, treats, health products, etc. Overall they have a good variety of products and it’s a fun store to shop at.
What made me dock 2 stars is the fact that a lot of the animals there look to be in pretty rough shape. A lot of the chicks have a significant amount of missing feathers and appear to he very lethargic. They have a macaw that’s in dire need of a beak trim. Not OK in my book. I think if they took better care of their animals this would be a great store.

We have tried to grow veggies for three years. Went to wabash and planted their veggies and all of them came up and produced. They are so knowledgeable and helpful
Worth the time and drive

I love this store! They have everything from aforable rescue puppies, fuzzy bunnies, to peacocks and yard art to farm fresh eggs!
I most frequently come in here to buy pet food, free range chicken eggs, and local honey from here in Houston.
If I find myself with extra time in my day I love to walk around Wabash and see what cool things they have for sale.
They also frequently have a small local market set up in front of the store on Saturdays that usually has an interesting variety of everything from local food to art.

Wabash is a great place to start greening up your thumbs.
The staff provide great tips, suggestions, and honest feedback regarding all sorts of gardening. They’ll guide you through the process of setting up anything from a small herb planter to a full-​throttle, urban farming experience. Want to start from seeds? All the required and recommended supplies are available. Want to start from small plants? They’ve got a variety of heirlooms. Sure, it’s not the cheapest, but the service and quality is worth it. In the long run, it’ll save time, effort, and money that won’t be wasted on replantings or excessive fertilizing.
Like any good feed store, they’re also an excellent source for pet supplies and food. Want to own chickens? They’re available, and the staff will get all the supplies, and send you home with guidance. Thank you chicken sherpas. I’m sure my new feathered additions appreciate it greatly.

You don’t have to be a farmer to love this place! It’s fun just to walk through and see the metal yard whirley gigs, the gardening supplies and walk back in the back to see the live small farm animals.
Need some seeds for your yard? Sure you can buy ‘em at Wal-Mart…or you can buy organic seeds here that are much better. Certified organic and heirloom seeds. Corn, okra, peppers and all sorts of kale and all kids of herbs and veggies.
They have classes too… check their website for gardening, bird house building, book signings and other interesting get togethers.
Pots, planters, antiques, yard furniture… if you find it on an old farm, they say, you’ll likely find it here. It’s fun just to wander around. And the staff is friendly and helpful.
Feed, critter traps, hay bales, gardening and planting books and most anything for an organic garden or landscape.
Honestly, I rarely buy anything when I go. But I do love to look around and see if there’s something new for friends who are into gardening and their yards. And like going back and visiting the kittens and chickens in the back room.
You can go to a box store or a big chain place or you can take a step back in time to the farm and pop in here every so often.
Need a trellis, topiary, Texas star, wind chimes or concrete bird bath? Yep.

My dogs encouraged me to write this review in hopes that they can become the spokesdogs for Wabash Antiques & Feed Store. Well, at least for one small section of it and that would be the section that sells dried animal parts. Not just your usual pig ears and raw hides that can be found anywhere but I am talking about chicken feet, duck feet and pig snouts. My neighbor told me how much her dogs liked them. I ran in there to grab some herbs (mint for mojitos) and thought I’d grab some for the pups. Oh my god they lost their minds! Greatest treats ever! So now when I run in to grab my plants, potting soil, chickens, bunnies, puppies (oh yeah, they sell those too) I am sure to get my two baby dogs the best treats they can imagine.

Wabash is a little gem on Washington. I go there for herb plants, potting soil, and dried chicken and duck feet for my dogs. Yes you read that correctly, dried animal feet. They also have dried pig snouts for the dogs. I can’t stop thinking about all the poor snoutless pigs running around not able to smell truffles.
They have your more practical needs covered as well. Need a chicken coup? Check. Need some chickens and a rooster for said coup? Check and check. I can’t tell you how many times I have been at Kung Fu Saloon and said to my friend, where did I leave my rooster? Its nice that I can replace it so conveniently.
Surprisingly all the chicken they sell have both of their feet. Maybe the dried feet come from the ones that tried to run away and, «Needed to be made an example of.»

This place remind me of growing up in a small town. If you own a pet, you will love this place.
A co worker recommended I start buying the new love of my life, Lucy (my shih tzu) a brand of dog food called Stella and Chewy. She said that her little puppies LOVE it.
I did a quick search and came across Wabash, which I had passed 5 million times.
The person inside quickly starting telling me all about Stella and Chewy’s which is no sugar, no additives, ect, and all natural dog food. In addition to some really cute pet toys, and food, they have feed, pet shampoo, little garden thingies, and plants.
All in all, I will continue to buy my pet food from here, and stop in from time to time.

LOVE! So many seeds to choose from! Customer service is great, very friendly. Will definitely return to get more seeds!!!
