Visible Changes

I love Visible Changes. Marcus is an amazing master at color and Jin is a wizard with the scissors. It’s so nice to spend my Sunday getting pampered by people you can call friends. My new look has given me new light and confidence. All of the staff at VC are great.

I’ve been going to Visible Changes for about 5 years. Have gone through 5 master stylists (some of them left, or some of them graduated to higher rates). They always get it right and can gauge what I’m asking for. I only once had a bad experience with a new stylist that wanted me to direct her instead of letting her use her creativity. It came out bad.
In the 5 years though never had an issue until the last two consecutive visits — with the manager. Both times we brought up our concern, instead of apologizing and finding a solution, he did so in a way that implied that the mistake was ours (appointment times messed up, even after calling in ourselves to confirm earlier that day). The second instance was a cashier that took a costumer that did not wait in line to pay. Manager again did not take responsibility and defended the cashier.
I have since moved city and no longer visit VC.

I have come here from 2014 on but was never quiet satisfied with the stylists I was assigned to, as I always went for the junior and a different one every time.
Until 2016 January I met Hannah Christine Crotts
She is so amazing!!! Her work, personality, and talent.
I found the one, and will always be loyal to VC till she works there!
I be already been to her about 5 times and every single time my experience is the same top notch!

Marcus is an amazing colorist! He gets it right every time! Take my hair vision and makes it even better! Love him and his work! Best balayage is Houston!

Marcus is the best person to go to if you plan on doing ombré or balyage! He gives you what you ask for and is totally honest with you on what will look best. He makes you feel really comfortable while your there. Not only does he take his time to do everything correctly but he also loves what he does. He took as long as he needed to get my hair to perfection and how I wanted it. My hair is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!

Marcus did a great job with my all over color and he is very nice! He also gave me many tips for styling. He goes the extra mile to make you feel like a valued client.

Janet is the only hairstylist I have been going to for years. She always does a great job, leaves my hair so healthy a beautiful. Janet is not only an awesome hairstylist but overall great person, makes you feel comfortable. I will continue to go back for future haircuts.

Went in for a simple shampoo blowout which I was told starts at $ 25 and I figured my hair is pretty short (above my shoulders) it probably shouldn’t be any extra. I normally round rush my own hair, but was leaving out of town and was crunched for time. Janett managed to make me like a poodle by using a 1 inch round brush on my hair and then up charging me an extra $ 5 at check out, which I totally wouldn’t have minded had my hair looked even slightly decent. Had to go home and do the entire thing over myself. Overall a waste of time and money. Never thought anyone could ruin something as simple as a shampoo blow-​dry.

I had an awful experience here with Amanda yesterday getting highlights and lowlights. She whined the entire time that I wasn’t talking enough to her. She whined about her hours, how she wished she was drinking champagne and was on phone while doing my hair. The manager could have cared less. I will never be back to this salon. I left there disgusted.

I have gone here several times and like the professionalism and quality ! Highly recommended!

I was underwhelmed. I wanted to change my hair color. I admit it, I monkeyed with it over the weekend and should not have. That is not the stylist’s fault that I saw.
The problem for me is their business model. It was an extremely depersonalized experience. I have gone to independent stylists for years. The amazing lady who cuts my hair does not do color. I know someone who does but knew I could not get in quickly. Lesson learned. WAIT.
I ended up with exactly the color I had before I did my personal experiment. I could have done that myself. I thought about it. I just wanted something different.
To top it off the colorist, who was at the top tier so I know the individual knows her stuff and that is why I wanted the top tier, was not the person that styled my hair. Nope. Someone else blow dried my hair. So the colorist did not even see how the color turned out or if I was even half way pleased or anything near that. I paid a pretty penny to be back at square one. Big whoop. Not really what I was hoping for.
I am used to personalized service. I am used to full interaction every step of the way. I felt like I went through a cattle shoot. Never again. I will only go to independent salons. I am happy to pay for the service. I am glad to pay. I expect to pay. I also expect to be fully served and not left for someone else to finish me up.
I am disgusted with the lack of customer service. Plus then I was asked how I wanted to divide the tip and if I wanted to give it to them myself. Um no. I will never step foot inside this place again. I would rather light my head on fire. This reminds me of the nail salon asking for cash tips. Screw you!
Afterwards, I went and bought a high-​end handbag. I do not mind paying for service and for quality. I received none of that at this joint.

This was my first time visiting Visible Changes and for being the first time it was a great experience! I was coming in to color my hair a specific red shade. My colorist was named Marcus and he was very nice and gave me exactly what I wanted. When going in for anything I would say to have a picture to show them, it helps. He made me feel comfortable and is very knowledgeable when it comes to coloring and especially maintaining it. I will definitely be going back to him when I need a retouch. The color was almost a red velvet, think Ariana Grande type red and it came out perfect and everyone at work and home loved it! This was a great first experience and I 100% recommend Marcus to everyone! He did an amazing job!

Marcus is the bizness! He has been doing my hair the past 6 months and always gets me right!!! Not only does he hook up my color but he keeps me dying of laughter! #clientforlife

Got my color done by MarKus AMAZING!!! Couldn’t be happier! I will not being seeing anyone else for color. Switched to Jin for my cut based on M’s suggestion! Definitely made an otherwise terrifying experience doubly reassuring. I love the cut and the color, by far the happiest I’ve been I hope VC keeps this duo around for a while!!!

I love this place bc I found meta! She is amazing she takes the time to listen to you and works accordingly on your hair. I love her and I love my hair only bc of her! I get compliments everytime I style it!

I scheduled a color appointment with a chemical specialist and was scheduled with a director. Nelda was great. She took the time to help me select a color and was very pleasant.
I must say that’s it is frustrating to not know the exact cost from the beginning. I feel that they should provide a copy of the ticket they fill out so customers can see the break down. Nelda had two little bowls of mix and said there was $ 10 cost per amount of mix (I can’t recall the amount of oz) how is a customer suppose to confirm charges are correct? I am use to my old hair stylist (back home) who has set prices. I said I would give this place another chance, but I’m probably going to stick with my former stylist to avoid this.
In regards to the issue I had the first time, they did call me and asked me about what happened and said they would call corporate to figure out the over charges and watch surveillance video. In addition it raises suspicion because they said the girl who checked me out no longer works there. I guess I was expecting them to return my call and offer a resolution, which has yet to happen.
Overall that’s probably the main reason why I won’t return. I just get a feeling that there is some overcharging (shadiness) going on.

I’ve been getting my color, cut and style here for several years. Their business model is big on customer loyalty, but they aren’t loyal to their customers at all. I always wait… And wait… even with an appt, and then I wait after my color is done, for a stylist… Today after years with this salon I’m walking out of the galleria with a wet, unbrushed mess of hair… Because they overbooked themselves and couldn’t even get somebody to blow dry my hair dry after washing for another ½ an hour. My customer loyalty died today. This place sucks and I’m never going back.

I am always extremely nervous to try new hair stylists. I have had numerous bad experiences with hair cut, style, color, etc. However, I finally found someone I can trust with my cut & style. Allison is amazing. She only cuts and styles but she’s the absolute best.

I have been going here about 4 ½ years or so now to Megan. I am natural and she has my hair so trained that in a hour – I am out of there. (Please note: I also use one product I purchased online for frizz/​humidity from Sabino that she uses on my hair before she flat-iron’s my hair and it helps.)
Megan is not only nice, with a great smile – she is very knowledgeable about hair and the products that will work well with your specific hair.
I must say that the rest of the staff from the front to the back are absolutely great as well. I won’t name names because I will forget someone. Over the years, I have watched just about everyone with their various satisfied clients and can say that I am glad I made the call and starting going here.
