This is the worst place to get gas or buy anything. People standing right outside the door hustling, standing inside the store waiting for you to buy something and then try to hustle you, or both. Management won’t get them off the property. Very unsafe place. I highly advise carrying protection if you are going to stop at this Valero.

This afternoon I had the absolute worst experience ever at a C-store. Joel, the customer service rep this afternoon was horrible. For example, he didn’t put my change in my hand — he threw it on the counter. I was like«WHAT?!». I guess that his hat being on backwards looking like a complete thug should have alerted me to the fact that I would not be receiving anything close to normal service. Needless to say, this incident is far from being resolved. What has happened to this location. The old customer service reps were friendly, but this new set that they have recently installed is far from what customer are wanting — from the manager, assistant manager to the customer service reps. I think that I will just start going to Chevron on Montrose for my morning fountain drink — well that is because it seems that all of the old employees are there now. I will be avoiding this place like the plague.

Gas stations in this area are somewhat rare, which is odd considering this is at the intersection of the 2 most awesome streets in our fair city. But I guess that explains why the pumps are always full and there isn’t nearly enough parking or maneuvering space. Since it’s located on such a busy corner and they keep their prices lower than Shell on Alabama and Montrose, I continue to stop on my way home from work. However, I’ve found myself stopping here less now and continuing on to the new Kroger at Studemont and 10 featuring mucho gas pumps, low price and easy entrances/exits.
This whole corner is pretty weird and always full of interesting characters, especially on a Friday or Saturday night you can expect quite a show. As far as Gas Stations go this one is just fine, nothing special kinda small and dirty like you’d think it’d be.

Ahhh… Tranny Valero as I like to call it… If there were a show on HBO called ‘Late night gas station confessions’…I would shoot it here.

What can you say about a gas station? The gas is too expensive, as is everything else in the place, but the staff are quite funny when you’re a regular here. Word of warning: it’s Montrose, so be careful getting gas here at night. Plenty of very shady sorts hanging around.
