Delicious and cheap! Fajita, barbacoa, and lingua, served with all toppings and a touch of hot sauce. This place is great. Order one or two more tacos than you think. They are tiny little things. The tortillas have a 4″ diameter.

This place is awesome! I’m always coming back since I live nearby to pick up anything from tacos, to gorditas or tostadas. You name it, it’s delicious here! Highly recommend this truck. Their aguas frescas are also on point.

Definitely some of the best tacos I e had in Houston. Ordered fajita and Barbacoa tacos with everything on them and me and my boyfriend just devoured them. The cook time/wait time was only about 10 minutes, but only because this was right before they were closing up so not so busy. For the price these tacos are bomb! Great location and not too stuffy area, parking lot to themselves.

There are a lot of taco trucks on Long Point but this one seems to be the most popular. beware if you’re using Google Maps– it says Long Point and Antoine, but the truck is actually at Long Point and Jacquelyn Dr, right next to the Kim Soo Karate. I got the fajita, barbacoa, pastor, and lengua tacos on both corn and flour tortilla. Corn seems to be $ 1.50 while flour is $ 2. And they each come with grilled onions, cilantro, queso fresco, and AVOCADO! Any truck that gives you free avocado on a $ 1.50 corn tortilla gets a 5⁄5 on value from me by default. What I noticed first was that they piled up on the onions and cilantro, so much so that sometimes it overpowered the meat. Fortunately, this truck seems to serve the best grilled onion and best cilantro I’ve ever had so it wasn’t too big of an issue. Just a minor concern. Fajita — well seasoned and well cooked, very good but not quite as flavorful as the best fajita places like Taconazo. 4⁄5 Barbacoa — very soft, kinda greasy, and almost identical in style to Tierra Caliente’s barbacoa, which I consider the best in town. I really can’t say which is better since they’re so similar. So for me, Ultimo now shares the title of best barbacoa in Houston, along with Tierra Caliente. 5⁄5 Pastor — flavorful and very soft. A bit too soft for me actually, so it kind of tasted like ground beef to me. It’s very good but I thought Taconazo, Tierra Caliente, and a few other places in town had better pastor. 4⁄5 Lengua — really good, but too soft again. I want that beef tongue texture! 3.5÷5 Corn tortilla — above average, but still nowhere close to the best. Flour tortilla — also above average, nowhere close to the best. The meats here weren’t as good as the best I’ve tried(except barbacoa), which was slightly disappointing, but I still give Ultimo 5 stars because they’re still that good, and also value. FREEAVOCADO Taconazo is still the better truck to me, with better meat and tortillas overall. But Ultimo has better value, free avocado, and better cilantro. For me, Ultimo will share the #2 spot in Houston with Tierra Caliente.

Delicious taco truck! Had to make a stop by here after a long day of work. I always try the fajita tacos in my comparison of taco trucks and this one tops the list. Simple well marinated meat on the perfect thickness tortilla.

Absolutely real deal. Delicious. Fresh. Stopped by for some breakfast tacos before heading to the pool. Fajita with egg and chorizo with egg. My son(9) is a super-foodie and he was very impressed. Corn tortillas loaded! He told me if I didn’t give it five stars he was going to get his own Unilocal account… but I agreed with his review. Don’t forget to get a fresh juice… we had the pina(pineapple)…also super fresh and tasty. Perfect to wash down the tacos! We live in Philly, and were visiting family in Houston and were told this truck was a must-have. It was no lie. Probably go back again for some dinner style as well… dying to try some lengua.

Even Thrillist has them in lists — a food truck on a list of Houston Bucket list items! A Maaco car shop across the street and a karate school next door. Pawn shops, Chinese food and loud cars abound. This, my friend is where you come for an honest meal. Work up an appetite, you must. All of the food to taste.

I’ve had tacos from this taco truck several times. They actually have done catering at my job a few times. Their tacos are pretty good as well as their gorditas and tostadas. I’ve tried their fajita, pastor and chicken. The only one I wasn’t a big fan of was the chicken. They have delicious aguas frescas. The main complaint I have is that they don’t have homemade tortillas. However, for the price, I can’t really complain about it that much.

This taco truck doesn’t have any fancy setup, no picnic tables, neon lights, etc. but cranks out some really tasty tacos. They have both breakfast and lunch tacos. Tacos on corn are ony $ 1.50, flour ones are $ 1.75 We ordered 1 machacado, 1 pastor, 2 barbacoa, 2 fajita. My favorite ones were the pastor and machacado. I didn’t really find the salsa they give you to be very spicy, which was a bit of a letdown. I’ll still be back if I’m in the area craving tacos again.

For years I lived in a nearby neighborhood and I passed by this taco truck. Turning up my nose as I drove by, occasionally thinking back to past taco truck experiences. But one day, I was talking with some neighbors and they told me how great it was. So I stopped by and got two chicken and two fajita tacos. Now, I eat there at least once a week. Same think every time.

Tried this taco truck for the 1st time 2 weekends ago at a private Heights Rotary event they were hired for and it was LOVEAT1STBITE! Haven’t had tacos this good since I visited Monterrey, Mexico several years ago! If you love taco trucks you MUST seek this one out. The chicharron is to die for, the pierna and the bistek are incredible too!

Stopped for a quick bite. Gotta say these tacos were sooo on point! I had fajita & pastor tacos on corn tortillias. Also ordered a limon agua. 1st off, these were some of the freshest food truck tacos I’ve had in a while. Meaning all components: meat, avacado, tortillia, cilantro & onions. The tortillias were killer. This spot wasn’t stingy with the meat either. That pastor taco… OMG, so juicy & flavorful. It was perfect!!! I’ve had better aguas, but theirs was still good & the cup was huge!!! I’m sooo tempted to stalk them out for lunch today. This is def a keeper on my list.

This is the best taco truck in down. Go for the tostadas with barbacoa and corn tortilla tacos with chicken. You won’t be disappointed.

Niki and Kristin’s Taco Friday: Installment 1 — El Ultimo. Talk about a way to institute a tradition. Niki had fajita beef, cilantro and a squirt of lime juice; I had barbacoa and pastor, cilantro and avocado and lime. We both had a Mexican Coke and that lovely green sauce that starts out like fire, but pleasantly numbs your mouth and then just tastes good. The corn tortillas were super-fresh and oh so tasty. Service was quick and friendly, and we got there just in time; a line broke out while we were munching and I know they were jealous of us. All in good time, my friends. Bottom line: get over here and have some tacos. If you’re the sort of person who only eats at places where you can sit down, that’s why you drove your car here. Just do it. You’ll love it. I promise.

What a disappointment, I read so many good reviews about this place so decided to give it a try. Of course I went in with the highest of expectations, only to have them shattered, like a kid whose parents tell him they are going to disney but really they arrive at the dentist. My wife and I ordered the tripa and pastor tacos, the pastor was too oily, not well seasoned and more nerves than meat. The tripa which is my favorite taco of all time, was extremely hard. Let me just say, I’ve had chicharrones that are softer than these tripas. It is no joke, they were extremely overcooked, so much that they lost all flavor, I don’t know if I caught the cook on a bad day but I disagree with all the reviews.

Woot! $ 1.50 for a taco??? One of the girls in our group suggested going to this random taco truck. And it was totally random– parked off in a random parking lot with really… nothing around it. But man, those tacos were one of the most juiciest, flavorful tacos I have ever had. Omg, who would have thought. We tried an assortment of all the different types and they were just… good. Solid good. All of them. Definitely stop here. It’s random… but man, those are some tacos!

When it comes to tacos, one could say that I get around. I stumbled on this truck a few months back with some co-workers. After trying it once, I became hooked. I truly believe that these are among the best tacos in all of Houston. I have tried much of the menu and have yet to be disappointed. The crew from work has only grown as colleagues speak of tales of the awesome taco truck. The truck is now parked in an abandoned doctor’s office parking lot so there is plenty of parking. Would I go back? Yes — as much as possible.

Where did you go? I don’t understand, Ultimo. Was it something I said?! — I don’t feel like this deserves another update, so I’m editing here— ULTIMO is back! it was just one weird week when his truck was gone/missing/no more. Maybe he heard my Unilocaly cries of distress…
