Ty Trading

So many dresses are kept here that it’s easy to feel lost in the store, and although most of them are kept in plastic, a lot of them do trail on the floor and/​or suffer some damage from people passing by. With that said, the price definitely makes up for it – you can find amazing deals here and the material of a lot of the dresses is nice. There are four fitting rooms available (limit 3 dresses at a time), but I would recommend not bringing much with you when you come here. It’s not safe to leave it in the car outside, but there isn’t much room in the fitting rooms or the store for you to put your stuff either. The people who work here are friendly, though, and very helpful with your dress fittings and questions!

This place honestly doesn’t look like much from the outside, but its dress selection is pretty extensive and the prices are great. I was surprised to find dresses I could wear to prom for as little as $ 30-​$ 40. The workers were friendly and willing to help.
From my experience, the only drawbacks are that some of the dresses can be damaged or of poor quality, and there’s so much merchandise that the store feels a little suffocating, which is expected of such a huge wholesale store. It takes a while to go through all the dresses, but it’s definitely a good place to come if you’re looking for an affordable occasion dress!

T Y Trading sells formal wear good for proms, weddings, special events, and quinces.
T Y Trading is one of those stores that feels like Ross, Goodwill, and TJ Maxx. That means that all the clothes are jammed together on long racks, and the customer has to spend their precious time sifting though everything to find something good. That can be annoying. The clothes themselves are clean though, and they are hung in clear plastic garment bags
Also there are so many dresses it can feel overwhelming to have to search through all of their inventory. This is not a fancy bridal store where the attendant does all the selecting and works with you. In fact, they store attendant really only helps operate the the dressing room stalls in the back. They have a third makeshift stall that just uses a curtain also.
The store feels cramped and hot when more than ten other customers are shopping. :-(
The biggest draw to T.Y. Trading is the price. I have bought at least three special occasion dresses here in the past. I’m talking about formal, floor length gowns with a satin finish. I just can’t beat paying $ 40 bucks for the type of dresses that normally start at $ 100. This is especially true if you aren’t even going to wear the dress more than once.
The store is at the back of the second shopping center to your left if you come from Hillcroft and turn left onto Harwin. The driveway to get into the shopping center is kinda steep so watch out for your car.

I was looking for an inexpensive dress to wear at a formal dinner and came across website for TY trading.
The storefront is located in an industrial/​factory (?) area where there are many wholesale stores nearby. Also, the online store does not do justice. TY trading’s actual storefront has a much higher volume inventory than their online selection.
However, come prepared with hand sanitizer and a lot of patience.
Dresses are cramped on racks. There is minimal room between racks for you to walk through, so they can stock as much inventory as possible
All dresses are individually placed in plastic covers, making the shopping experience more difficult. It is hard to see what the dress looks like until you pull the hanger off the rack.
Selection of attire include some of the following: short and long evening dresses, short and long formal gowns, quinceanera dresses, bridal dresses, mother-​of the bride dresses, and vests for men. Prices range from $ 9.99 — $ 499 and sizes ranged from XS to 4XL.
You are allowed to try on 3 items at a time and then must go back to the end of the line. The fitting rooms are cramped as well.
There were also dolls, wedding party accessories, shoes, and jewelry for sale as well.
Employees leave you to browse at your leisure but are very willing to help if you request.
I was able to find a dress for $ 29.99 after spending 2 hours browsing, and trying on 6 different items. Overall, this is a good store to browse through if you have time and patience.

This place is huge, with fancy dresses to wedding dresses around $ 50−100ish+. What a deal! I didn’t find a dress I liked however, but probably would if I were just looking for a party dress.
This whole area has tons of cheap and fancy dresses, so you can spend a whole day shopping around.
