I wish I could give them 0 stars. Upon entering, I waited over 7 mins for someone to even acknowledge me(even though April walked passed me and waited on the table next to me). Once served, the waitress never came back to the table. So I finally just but my credit card on the table for her to come back. Never once asked how I was doing or if there was anything else she could get. Horrendous service. To make it even worse the brisket sandwich was disgusting and greasy.

Their big blind spot is the lack of healthy dining options. If you’re looking for BBQ, plenty of menu items.

I am surprised of the bad reviews. My mom and I had 8 hours to hang around and found this place by wondering the airport. The server at first was kinda blah but we talked and were friendly with her and she warmed up. But the food was so good. We ordered the Bavarian pretzels and cheese fondue appetizer and OMG it was awesome. The pretzels were hot and soft and the cheese was smooth and creamy and not overpowering. I had the Dirty Mac-n-Cheese it was good and the brisket on top was tasty but as a whole kinda too rich for me. But that’s not the restaurants fault. My mom had the BBQ chicken and wow a must try! It was so moist and tasty that she didn’t even use the BBQ sauce too much even though she said it was really good. I helped her finish the chicken since it was a big huge portion. She loved the fries and the coleslaw. Give this place a try don’t be too quick to judge the service and enjoy!

We got the black bean soup and the bacon cheeseburger w/tots. The burger was a frozen patty, not very good. The soup was okay. The tots were nice and crispy but a very small portion. Wouldn’t choose to eat here again or recommend it if you want a good burger. Service was good.

Absolute bogus… brisket looked like dried Spam. Catfish was really a breaded white fish(not even the shape of real catfish). Took a friend and was embarrassed. Staff were in cruise mode. Jan 24 at 1:51 pm… not busy. Avoid and go somewhere else.

My husband got food poisoning here and ended up in the hospital from severe dehydration and vomiting. Do not eat here.

If they look busy just keep walking, took 15 minutes just to get menus. And the attitudes are less than welcoming

Food was good and presentation was very nice on all of our plates. Service on the other hand was a bit lacking. I’m sure the long holiday weekend took its toll on the serving staff. However, a smile and a kind word can carry any situation and neither were present this evening… ready to get home…

Worst Burger in The whole Airport! McDonalds creates a more aromatic product than this ****hole! Tasteless, frozen, grey paddy with aged onions, salad and tomatoes on the side. Asked how I wanted it cooked, medium was my choice, grey it was. Horrible! Go to Rubys diner in Terminal D, sooo much better!

For a normal restaurant out in the real world, this place is just ok-ish. But for an airport restaurant, it was great! Our server was fast and friendly and was able to tell us about all the beers on the menu that we were unfamiliar with(and there were a lot, as we had not had Texas beers before). The food was average. I got a bacon cheeseburger with cheese fries, but I felt the $ 11 price tag was reasonable, especially in light of the fact we were in an airport where prices are always hyper-inflated.

Is there a 0 star option? This is the dirty dirty here. service leaves more than to be desired, and I couldn’t tell you whats going on the line. The food is «eh» but you have to understand that its at an airport so no harm no foul. Ordered a Wedgie…(wedge salad, tomato, grilled red onion, blue cheese crumble, bacon, and blue cheese fondue) but asked if there were any mayonnaise products in the salad as I am highly allergic. The server said that she wasn’t sure because she did not eat blue cheese. At which point I had to point out that she ask for me in the kitchen because it was due to a food allergy. When she returned she exclaimed that it in fact did, when I asked what did she did not know. I am pretty aware at this point that A. it is most likely the blue cheese fondue, and B… she is not really a great server. That said I ordered the salad and asked for no fondue dressing, blue cheese on the side(not taking a chance if it is actually dressing), and to 86(NO) red onion. Clarified the 86 because she might not know what exactly that was. my salad arrived alongside my girlfriends chili with bacon, blue cheese crumbles, and cucumber… scroll up and read the salad again, cucumber isn’t even on the lineup. Aside from the salad missing the tomato, there were no utensils served with the salad or on the table for that matter and when I realized it she had retreated before I could say anything. Girlfriend was so sweet, she said she’d wait to eat her chili until I was situated. Finally when I got her attention, she asked if I’d like a dressing… perhaps a vinigrette. I asked for her to check for the mayonnaise situation, and as she began to retreat I had to ask what happened to the tomato and… a fork. I am not joking when I say that 5 minutes later I had to inquire about the dressing and a utensil. She came back fairly instantly with both of our entrées, nothing for the salad. The entrées were exactly the same with the exception of the girlfriend who ordered a fried egg on her bacon cheeseburger. Entrées state that they include pickle and homemade chips… hers arrives with 2 fried eggs and fries??? After the weirdness of the order in front of us, I then was given a side of tomato, side of dressing and then utensils. After I annihilated the salad, the burger was half cold by the time I got to eating it. Now the quality of the food…“eh”, its airport digs and trying to be a local using quality ingredients whenever possible blah blah blah. I can appreciate that when its being done, its not being done here. The service and the communication in the kitchen earn this place 1 because 0 is not an option.

As I was walking to my gate, all I could think about were two things: what I was going to do to fill the 2-hour layover I had and… HOWFEROCIOUSLYHUNGRY I was… And then I saw an Oasis. This restaurant caught my eye, and caught stud muffin’s(lol) eye for he saw a huge juicy cheeseburger photo on the wall of the restaurant. Before even asking me if there was anything on the menu I could eat, he was already sitting down at a vacant table, ordering the cheeseburger, without tomato and extra avocado! I wound up ordering the ½ BBQ chicken, and hot damn it was good. Super juicy, yes the skin and bones were super crispy, I could basically eat the bones because they were crunchy like chips after how long it had been roasting… Maybe it was thrown in the fryer as well? So good and a hefty portion that wasn’t too big, the perfect amount to keep my full on my flight without making me feel uncomfortably bloated while my seatbelt securely fastened. If I weren’t flying right after this meal, I totally could have ordered another… However the thought of feeling sick on the plane motivated me to calm my tastebuds! The burger, I was told, was tasty as well. Over all, we had zero problems, except I really don’t like places where it’s a «seat yourself» situation because I don’t feel like the waitstaff realize you even walked in, and initially I don’t think they did… But we ordered, ate, paid and left with a little time to spare, so it was perfect! I’d fly back to Houston just for that chicken again, I have to say, for the crappy ratings this restaurant has gotten, the chicken I devoured may well be the best chicken I’ve ever eaten in my life!

This place is bullshit. I should have checked Unilocal before eating here. The service was slow and remember: this is an airport and people have to be places at certain times. We got to the restaurant and hour before our flight was at the board, server came after we been there for about five minutes, we ordered about five minutes later, in half an hour later or drink still hadn’t arrived. Then the really awful part: the food came. I guarantee that nothing about this place is «local». Kraft macaroni and cheese tastes better than the awful cheesy mess that we were served; the color, a jaundicy yellow, the consistency of snot, and the taste of bland hospital food but mixed with the taste of raw disappointment. The pulled pork was about its average as it gets, certainly not what you would expect in Texas(I know it’s in an airport, but if you don’t believe me, come waste your money and find out).

Worst airport food ever! The fish and chips was pre made fish cutlets from Walmart and the cheesy fries were wet and covered in nacho cheese. My wife had the mac and cheese and rated it worse than Kraft dinner The only thing good was the wine and beer. That’s only because they came out of a reputable company’s bottle. We were not the only ones to leave our plates half full and leave. If your really Hungary, go to the Subway next door

Edit: This would’ve been a 1 star review, but my waitress saved it. So far only opened for 3 weeks, so they’ve got some issues to work out. My server was actually quite attentive, so no quibbles over the service here even though I did witness one table walk out angrily due to «lack of service». It was unusually busy due to a passing rain storm(meant flight delays), and they weren’t seating people as they entered. They let us seat ourselves, so people are bound to be overlooked in a crowd. What drew me to this establishment was their advertisement of the use of local and fresh ingredients. Unfortunately, the only thing that seemed to be fresh and local here were the selection of beers on tap(mostly Houston-based). I ordered the Fish and Chips, which I figured would be hard to mess up, but I was quickly proven wrong. Corn-bread battered catfish, deep-fried with french fries what could go wrong?! Hard to say if the fried fish was fresh or frozen, but regardless the bread to fish ratio was very high. Fried fish is hard to enjoy when you’re mainly chewing on fried breading. The french fries were obviously from a bag, but that’s ok. BUT they were over-cooked, hard, and hollow. What happened to their pillowy potato filling? Not sure if the cheese sauce was necessary on the fries. The sauce is the same sauce you get with the movie theater nachos, Rico’s or Cheez-wiz? Ah I really wish it was better than this, so I hope the executive chef will take the hint and make the necessary corrections to save this place.

Not worth a try. If you’re looking for microwaved food and not fresh– this is your spot. My Steakburger and French fries were delivered to me in the matter of seconds. Fries were cold and so was the burger. I asked for new fries and they tried«refrying» them when I requested new fries. They were soggy and rubbery. When I gave my discontent to the bar tender he mentioned he would get me some chips.(If I wanted chips I would have ordered chips) So I would not recommend this place to anyone else. They just opened and already headed in the wrong direction. If they’re taking these shortcuts and jeopardizing food quality, then they clearly don’t have processes down to offer fresh food. They’re cooking in bulk and not to order. Therefore– I don’t recommend it.
