The food was terrible. Drinks were terrible. Waitress was terrible. Food: I shared the cheese fries with a friend and had the chicken wrap… both tasted like moldy cheese. Drinks: Just not mixed well. But cheap so that gives them their e

FUNFUNFUN! Really enjoy coming here before and after games… either for post-winning celebration, or post-loss depression alleviation. I really love sitting on the balcony and people watching. The breeze is great and it’s really nice to just sit and chill.

If you are heading to Minute Maid Park for a ballgame and you want a cold one before the game, this little spot across the street from the entrance is the place to go. First, it is right across the street from the entrance so you can park and then drink without having to worry that you will have a long drunken trudge to the game. And, second, there is a great second floor balcony to grab a breeze with your beer. Plus, added advantage, the balcony is a great spot from which to watch for any friends you are meeting there. Being Houston, they understand the value of offering you a very cold beer. And price was okay. The only real negative here may be the volume of the music. Über loud. Can’t hear your friends talk to you loud. Bust your eardrums loud. But, at least, on the balcony, the music has someplace to escape.

The Balcony Bar is cool little place to hang out at before the Astros or Dynamo games. Set on the 3rd floor balcony, just to the south of Minute Maid Park, this venue offers good views of and a nice atmosphere for the adult crowd. You are literally right across the street from Larry’s Big Bamboo bar at Minute Maid. We came here last night to quench our thirst before the Astros game and found it to our liking. Prices were decent, a bit less than Minute Maid. The beer was ice-cold and the music was really good. We would come back here again.

Can’t think of a better place to hang out before and after an Astros game. Jose is the man! Great location, decent prices, and some great tunes!

Love it! My friend and I decided to randomly drive from SA to hit up an Astro’s game. We were staying at the Hilton nearby and wanted to pre-drink. We both ordered some beer, and an order of Nacho’s. The food was lacking. The nachos, although rather large, came out half cooked. Half the cheese wasn’t melted. Maybe because it was busy but I wasn’t impressed. The bottom of the menu warned of a Fireball(name might be wrong?) Shot. We decided to try it out. The waiter told us what was in it, but I totally forgot. He just said, make sure you like it hot! And we do! The shot tasted like a red hot. yuck. But 5 minutes later we both were on fire, like a major hot flash! And it sure did the trick! Great atmosphere, and great way to start off the night at the ballpark!

My friends and I love to hang out at this bar before or after an Astros game. They sell food but we have never order any. Every time we are here, we have been greeted by the owner who is very friend and has a great personality. We love the mix of music which include some Spanish! Location is great from Astros stadium, Music is great and drinks are great so i give it 5 stars!!!

Wow what a great experience Jose and his crew give us everytime we go to this relaxed wonderful bar! The balcony speaks for itself and the breeze and the conversation that you get when you are on this balcony is so fulfilling! Great tunes, clean bathrooms, lots of parking and people watching!

We love this place. It is our goto bar anytime we are hitting Discovery Green. And yes, it is upstairs, but to the other reviewer… they have an elevator if you are lazy like me! :) Jose is a gracious host, an d a kickass DJ. This place has a wonderful open-air atmosphere, with a great view from the smoking balcony. The concrete open floors even inspired some of my friends to breakdance one night! And then after we were worn out, there is a cozy little couch section to relax in. Check it out… you will want to claim this balcony as your own!

Located right across from Minute Maid Park and sandwiched between Home Plate Bar & Grill and The BUS, is this elevated little hot spot. The music was blasting from the street and it looked like a good ol’ time, so me, the BF and a couple friends decided to stop by after the upsetting lost of the Astros. If you need to give your calves a little workout then come here, because you will be climbing 2 flights of stairs just to get to the bar, phew. Once we arrived to the top, the partying staff greeted us with open arms and flowing drinks. There was not a big crowd for a Friday night, but I assume they have a large gathering before the games and not after. One down side of this place, is that they do not have a full bar. No bueno, since my drink of choice is a jack and diet. Overall, this place is a-okay to grab a drink or two before/after a game.
