i have a very complicated prescription. For the first time ever, I have eyeglasses that I actually prefer over my contacts. I see now that one hour places were not meeting my needs and you basically get what you pay for. Everyone from the front office to the optometrists were patient and professional through every step of the process. I will go to them for my eye care from now on.

I went to TSO yesterday afternoon, the staff was VERY friendly, accommodating, and helpful. They all seemed knowledgeable, and had a lot of glasses in stock. The specific pair I wanted wasn’t in their showroom but they were able to order them for me and did so with great enthusiasm. Excellent customer service. Also the optometrist was very sweet and welcoming, she was young but definitely seemed like she knew was she was doing. I will definitely go back for eye exams, or even if I just want to purchase glasses, assuming that my prescription came out right. I would recommend this location for anyone who doesn’t have vision insurance(a regular exam is only $ 88), or even if you do, the people there are much friendlier than other optometry places I have been to.

After my company changed my vision carrier, I was forced to look for a new place to get my peeps checked. I noticed this TSO located off of the Katy Freeway while lunching at a nearby Jason’s Deli. I called to make an appointment and found the staff friendly and helpful. With a few minutes I had an appointment with Dr. Matocha. A week before my appointment I got a text confirming my appointment followed by another a couple days later. Apparently they are a bit enthusiastic about confirming appointments. The day of the exam I drove the mile to their showroom/office(isn’t that convenient!) found a space to park in their ample lot and walked in to a busy, large showroom. I signed in at the counter and was given the requisite forms to fill out in a private sitting area in the back. I did notice they had a kids room with a t.v., bean bags, toys & puzzles. After filling out my forms I was ran through the usual batter of tests which makes it interesting as I am blind in my right eye. It never fails, even with this information the tech will try to test my right eye. They do have a fancy machine that will take a picture of the interior of your eye. This is an additional charge but will save you from having your eyes dilated and you get a keepsake picture. There was a brief wait for the doctor. She called my name and with a big smile, handshake she introduced herself as Dr. Linda. The exam didn’t take long and she actually explained a few things about my right eye while looking at the interior picture taken earlier. She pointed out things on the picture and I nodded and«uh huh’d» a few times like I understood what she was saying. After a few minutes she had me test driving a new contact lens and told the tech to make me a follow up appointment to see how I was acclimating to it and to pick up my order. Overall great service, nice & accommodating staff and just a drive down the street.
