I eat that this Taqueria every weekend for breakfast and occasionally dinner as well. The food is excellent especially their Breakfast Burritos and breakfast plates. Their Fajitas are a great treat for dinner especially the Fajitas Mixta which is both beef, chicken, a slice of sausage and for a little more get the shrimp to top off this great meal and for the sides is the lettuce, tomato, pico de gallo, beans, and your choice of tortillas which are homemade and a great compliment to the dish. Great prices and excellent customer services especially if you are served and attended to by Anna and Tere. Attention to detail on the food and service is the name of the game at this eatery.

Great little place. I stopped in here for breakfast while having my car worked on at the nearby Adolf Hoepfl Auto Shop. Very friendly staff and the food was excellent. I had fajitas and eggs with potatoes fried in chorizo. The tortillas were fresh and the red salsa was excellent. The décor isn’t anything to write home about, but factor in the great food and friendly service and it’s still a winner. I will definitely be eating here again.

Don’t judge this book by its cover. The food was delicious! We had chicken enchiladas, hard shell tacos, and the queso. ¡Sabrosa! The tacos did not fall apart like some hard shell tacos can. The salsa was very tasty too. Spicy just how I like it. A good indicator if the food will be any good is the salsa — if you do good salsa then chances are everything else will be good. I’ll be back. A couple of reasons I didn’t give 5 stars is ambiance(décor is minimal/dated) and the ground beef on my taco was a tad salty.

Queso flameado and homemade tortillas were delicious! We ordered carne guisado and red enchiladas and those were OK. They charge for any additional tortillas over the 3 included. Stay away from restroom side if dining in(weird smell). Prices were average. Our waitress Vicky was very nice and attentive!

Excellent! Red salsa was delicious, extra spicy, but with great flavor. Green salsa wasn’t as spicy as the red, but still had a nice big kick of heat. We went through TWO baskets of chips. We started with the queso with fajita. The cheese isn’t regular yellow nacho style cheese you get at most Mexican or Tex Mex restaurants. They are very generous with the portions of meat added to the queso which I can not complain about. :) I had the red enchiladas filled with beef fajita. I believe the corn tortillas used in the enchiladas were home made? Possibly? Either way they were thin, soft, and the red sauce on top was excellent as well. My boyfriend got the beef fajita torta. Excellent! The bread was extra toasty, just like he likes it. The waitress was funny and very helpful. Overall it was a great experience and we will definitely be returning.

Looking for some good Mexican food that wasn’t TexMex. The chips were hot and the salsa spicy– yum! I had the green enchiladas and my baby had the beef flautas. We enjoyed our food and left with full bellies. I definitely recommend.

I have been going to this little breakfast gem for years. No it isn’t fancy, it’s a hardworking group that makes some tasty chow. Just a good solid taqueria. Great sauce!

You can’t go home again. This restaurant was one of my wife’s favorite places to eat 40 years ago when she lived in Houston. We walked in and were knocked over by the over whelming smell of Pine-Sol. More about that later. This is not the same restaurant that it was 40 years ago. The good first. Chips and salsa were excellent side dish of guacamole excellent the beer ice cold and served in frozen mugs. The food was not Mexican nor was a Tex-Mex. I’m not exactly sure what it was except barely edible. The restroom was broken and the smell emanating from it was overwhelming. This is the reason for the overwhelming smell of Pine-Sol, to cover up the overwhelming smell of sewer.

This restaurant has some problems, but there are some great things about it too. For starters, the salsa that comes with the chips is great. Unlike the salsa at every other restaurant I’ve been to, it’s actually spicy. In fact, you best be careful because it’s got quite a powerful kick. The tacos and nachos are fantastic but the beans and enchiladas left something to be desired. The sweet tea was also great, but you should ask for extra ice because it is somewhat warm. The waitress wasn’t very proficient with English, but she was friendly and helpful(and pretty!). There are no free refills or dessert but I think the Nachos and Tacos were enough to make up for it.

Chips were warm and crispy and the salsa is pleasing to the taste. Barbacoa tacos exactly the way I like… good flavor! Will definitely have to go back for dinner and a margarita.

For the price you can’t beat this place. Great authentic Mexican food for really great prices. Fajitas for 2 for less than $ 25 that could easily feed 4. The green salsa was delicious. You can never get this stuff other than food trucks or making it yourself. The restaurant is clean and staff is very friendly. Service left a bit to be desired and there isn’t a soda fountain so I had to buy my diet coke by the can.

This was a diamond in the rough a couple years ago for me. But then they changed their chips from the good ones to the cheap, less mouthwatering ones. I even mentioned it to the owner(I’m apparently pretty serious about my chips and salsa, lol) he insisted most people actually really liked them and from a business stand point I thought, «fine, okay, their salsa is still pretty frigging amazing, I can eat the cheap less tasteful chips». Im only giving 3 stars today because I have been waiting at least 20 minutes, if not longer, for 4(four not forty) potato and egg breakfast tacos… And their service is usually pretty slow because they always only have one waitress on deck. UPDATE: 07÷28÷14 I am updating my review because the last 3 times I have been they have now added a second waitress to help the other and things seem to be running a bit smoother and faster now. I’ve always really liked this place and am glad I can give a full 5 star rating. I always recommend this place when people are near by and want GOOD Mexican food.

Very good breakfast menu. Most diverse breakfast menu I’ve seen for a Mexican restaurant. Good size portions & great coffee. The fajitas for one are a pretty good size portion, enough for 2 people to share and are some of the best authentic fajitas in town. I also recommend the enchiladas rancheras, pretty good!

Easily the best breakfast tacos in the GOOF. Not much to look at, but the tortillas are classic Houston tortillas, on par with La Mexicana, Spanish Flowers, etc. The salsas are fresh and taste great. The tacos were prepared to order, not scooped out of a steam table, which is a bonus. I look forward to going back for lunch or dinner! And even if the other options aren’t great, I’m glad I finally found an alternative to the much over-hyped Fiesta Tacos on the other side of the neighborhood.

Not great. Good salsa & queso, horrible steak fajita meat. Decent lunch specials.
