I knew I wanted a bike fit but I didn’t know how much I wanted one until I got one. I had my race bike fitted and it quickly became my most comfortable bike, which in theory, may not make sense. I used Tad’s measurements and recommendations and applied them in a similar fashion to other bikes in my stable as well and it’s something that changed riding for the better, for me. I recommend any intermediate or above cyclist to get a proper fit for their bike.

Tad did a decent job with the measurements and his gadgets, but what I can’t get over is that he sent me my car to get something and when I ran out to my car, HE TOOK THE INSERTS OUT OF MY SHOES AND THREW THEM AWAY!!! He then put in after market inserts and didn’t tell me how much they were — just cut them up and stuck them in the shoe while sending me outside, and then when we were done, tacked another $ 100 onto the bill. I’m really PO’ed about his throwing my inserts away. Paying another $ 100 for inserts that might help, and sticking them in on the sly without giving a head’s up on the price was a little shady, especially given I wasn’t having any knee problems, ok — I could let that go and give them a try, but his throwing away what I was using without telling me he had done it (I was stupid and assumed he put his after market inserts on top of what came with the shoe never guessing he would just throw my things away) means I can’t go back to what was comfortable for my feet. SO MAD, and he did it with both pairs of my cycling shoes. WHO DOES THAT?! You don’t just throw somebody’s gear away while sending them to their car to get something. Not ok. Not acceptable. And the inserts the stuck in cause me pain on a non-​trainer ride. I ended up pulling the soles out of old running shoes and putting them in my cycling shoes and did four full Ironmans in a calendar year with my running shoe soles in my bikes shoes thanks to Tad throw your stuff away Hughes. — and I ended up getting refit somewhere else on the bike. Ok, but not fab fit perhaps can be explained away as it’s a process, but surreptitiously throwing my stuff away cannot be excused.

I’m a difficult lady and Tad handled my complexities with ease to fine tune my TT bike fit gearing up for my 3^rd Ironman. I’ve had bike shop fits and even sat on a fit bike before I got this bike, but his fit goes far above and beyond your typical bike shop or coach fit. Tad specializes in one thing and really is an expert at it. I was thoroughly impressed. His setup and technology is top notch! I went back with a new pair of shoes to get cleated after my fit and he squeezed me in no problem. I actually need to swing back by again because I may need wider insoles (I have really wide feet… told you I was difficult). Take your riding to the next level with a fit from Tad Hughes! The kicker is, you pay for what you get. Quality doesn’t come cheap!

Exactly what I was hoping it would be. Heard about Tad for many years before being relocated to Houston for work. Finally the stars aligned where I was now close to his studio and in need of a new TT bike. Personally, I prefer his style of no fluff, answer your questions, and humble in his approach. Perhaps he read me correctly in the initial evaluation, but regardless, he was spot on in what I was looking for and how I wanted to be dealt with. Purchased one of the bikes we discussed and heading back for the follow-​up fit soon.
Appreciate someone that knows what their doing and does what they say they’ll do. Tad is better than advertised.

I had been riding my tri bike and using it for various triathlons for quite some time. I had previously had the bike «fitted» at a bike store and didn’t really think much about bike fit again.
I completed a half Ironman distance triathlon and noticed pain in my neck, feet and seat. My feet felt like they were on fire after the bike ride and I really struggled with the run portion of the race. After that race, a few friends recommended Tad Hughes Custom Fit Studio.
I was immediately impressed by all the technology and equipment when I entered the studio. He set my bike up on the trainer and video recorded me as I pedaled. He thoroughly explained the process to me and pointed out things that he noticed in the video. He made a few suggested adjustments and I noticed a difference immediately. My pedal stroke was more efficient and I felt less pressure on my neck and shoulders. He measured my flexibility and added insoles to my cycling shoes as well. After all of the adjustments, he recorded me pedaling on the bike and did a before and after, side by side comparison and explained the differences.
He suggested that I return home and go for a few long rides to get used to the adjustments and gave me the option of coming back within 30 days to reassess the changes. I haven’t had any issues with pain or soreness since my fitting.

I don’t normally write reviews on here but I wanted to give Tad the props he deserves. I bought my road bike about 4.5 years ago and had gotten «fitted» on it at the bike shop I bought it at. After riding for a year I hoped a better fit could help some neck pain I was experiencing on long rides.
Tad first video fitted me in 2012 and the results were immediate — the neck pain I was experiencing decreased dramatically and my pedal stroke felt much more efficient overall. I could see a world of difference just by looking at the before and after photos he provided, and I definitely felt the difference on my rides. I had been frustrated with riding but got re-​addicted to road biking after feeling the difference.
In 2014 I signed up to do a 545mile ride from San Francisco to LA and knew I should get re-​fitted beforehand to ensure I was as comfortable as possible on the ride. I’m so glad I did! He now offers saddle pressure mapping that makes sure you are evenly distributed across the saddle. I was pretty shocked by how well I did and how comfortable I was on my bike for the entire 7-​day, 545 mile ride (especially compared to the other riders).
I’d definitely recommend getting fitted on your bike by Tad, even if you’ve already been fitted in the past (the saddle pressure mapping is worth it for sure). Your body will thank you.
