Taconmadre Taqueria

This place is a hidden jewel !!! The food is very reasonable and very tasty. Tacos, burritos, and hamburgers with a Mexican flair. If you’re ever in the area and looking for some quick cheap food this place is a must, you won’t be disappointed.

Not impressed. This place wasn’t up to par with other taco trucks I’ve been to.
Price was ok — average for taco truck.
Lengua on taco was not usual texture/​flavor and although color was typical of lengua, texture was more like browned ground beef in a skillet and there was barely any flavor.
Pastor taco was ok but but dripping with grease and had a couple of bites that were very fatty.
I likely wont return.

Overrated. First I want to start off with the tortillas de Harina didn’t taste homemade whatsoever if I wanted fake tortillas I would go to Taco Bell. Then to make it better you know when you get a limonada you expect that refreshing lime taste. Had me fooled tasted like straight up country time lemonade. I heard about this place on Unilocal decided to give it a shot. Disappointed. That’s is all.

Man olé man I’ve been coming here since high school! This place has meat that taste like no other. When I’m near this side of town I have to stop by. I owe it to myself! They are open 24hrs and serve a full menu.

I have no idea what Taconmadre means but it looks like some kind of fusion of Taco and a yo mama joke. Like… yo mama so nosy, she jalapeño business. or Yo mama so stingy she take away your allowance like «that’s nacho cheese!»
I’m persuaded by food lists. I admit it. I’ve seen the infamous «green truck» and «OG of food trucks» on several foodie lists and made a mental note to look it up. My coworkers love this truck and asked if we wanted to get tacos one day. I wasn’t so sure until they showed me the menu/​picture of THE GREEN TRUCK so I was glad to finally get to try it.
I’m obsessed with their al pastro, barbocoa and bistek tacos. Their quesadilla is a good alternative especially when you’ve gone there twice in a week already and really shouldn’t eat another taco. Not that I’m speaking from experience or anything. I love that they have horchata (although it’s a bit grainy) it’s still good and washes down those tacos really well.
The coolest thing about this place is that it has a drive-​thru! whatttt.

Place sucks. Who runs out of eggs in the morning? I rather eat at el jalapeño on Edgebrook. No taco truck ever beats el jalapeño. Well from what I’ve eaten around. Also, get ready to wait 30 – 40 minutes for your order out there.

Been coming here for years. My favorite is the beef fajita tacos. Don’t forget the charros!

I’ve been coming here for years and their food is always consistent. Everything I’ve tried here has always been so delicious and this is why this big green taco bus is my favorite stop for tacos, tortas, quesadillas etc. Hands down! My favorite! Way better than the best rated taco trucks on Unilocal!My second favorite taco truck is Taqueria Elena on Wayside and 45.

My family has been coming here for a LONG time now and the food is just incredible. My kids rather coming here than any fast food place anytime. Their tacos, gorditas, tortas are incredible (charro beans are fabulous) and next to having a drivethru they take credit cards. Their burgers are to die for. Great price and omg the meat has the best flavor and seasoned perfect. The patty isn’t ur traditional tasteless frozen patty the meat is thick, juicy w/​that slight crisp on the outside! I HIGHLY recommend this place for a quick bite or a full meal! Thanks Taconmadre for serving our community and sticking around as long as you have! Complete 5star in great food!

My husband and I go and pick up food here all the time, the bus has a drive thru… Their fajita quesadillas r the best ever, their huaraches and mortals r too. The only bad thing is the wait, but it’s all worth it once I’m eating lol.
