I came here with my son and picked out a Spring Roll, monster roll, spicy roll, spices tuna, and firebird all of which were delicious! I highly recommend this place. I loved the idea of the moving sushi bar.

Decent sushi at alright prices. Not my favorite spot but it’s great for Monday nights. The atmosphere is fun and you can grab from the conveyor or order off the menu. The edamame is excellent and everything is fresh. I’ve definitely had better but this is great for the experience. The staff is always friendly and the kids meals are cheap and fun. I loved the fact that they immediately brought my son those chopsticks that are easy to use. Had a little plastic piece so he didn’t have as much trouble. The hot sake is great, and my son always loves a place with ramune. It’s definitely scary to count how many plates you’ll go through at the end! But it’s nice to be able to pick and choose a couple pieces at a time if you’re feeling adventurous.

I like that I don’t have to awkwardly figure out what I want based on description and menu pictures, mainly because it’s chugging along tantalizingly in front of my eyes. No need to wonder what it looks like in the dark corners of your mind. When it comes to you and it looks good(along with a very succinct description of its contents on the plaque accompanying it), grab it and never let go. Taste fresh and so yummy!

Other Unilocalers have already explained very well the entire concept of Sushi Choo-Choo. Since I have nothing to improve on there, I’ll get on to my review: I liked the idea here that you could try different rolls without getting a huge roll that you may or may not like. As dishes came along on the belt, it’s very easy to read the name and the ingredients first and then determine if you want to choose it to try. This enabled me(and others in our party) to be a bit adventurous when we normally wouldn’t be in a position to do so. We were seated at a booth, so we were sort of «at the end of the line.» We had also come prior to 6PM. Offerings initially were pretty standard rolls and we did have choices(each different roll has 3 plates available as it goes around — often there were 2 or 3 available for us to grab). As the 6 o’clock hour approached, the choices became more diverse, including fried shrimp, dumplings, edamame and spring rolls among other more exotic rolls. But the restaurant had also become more crowded, with more people seated at the bar-style area at the beginning of the line, which resulted in(at times) some offerings being gone by the time they snaked around to us. This wasn’t really much of a problem since all of us were pretty stuffed at this point, but if we had just arrived, I can see that it may have been a bit disappointing. Sushi was good overall. While it’s not the best sushi I’ve ever eaten, everything I tried(and I ate quite a bit) was satisfying and flavorful. Some rolls were more to my liking than others; this is, however, how you find out what you’d want to order on a large-roll scale — try a bunch of small ones! All in all, a very pleasant experience that I would definitely recommend. If you’re a real sushi snob, I can surmise that this isn’t a place for you. But if you’re the typical sushi eater, this is a great change of pace and a nice opportunity to walk outside of your comfort zone and be a bit adventurous. Items can be ordered off of the menu; they were delivered promptly and taste was very good. Service was courteous also. They were very accommodating to my toddler grandson, providing him with an attachment for his chopsticks, which enabled him to successfully eat with them. How thoughtful!

Have been here many times, as another person said, everyone has pretty much covered the concept of this place, so onto the food… Love this place, and have never had anything that did not taste good. Sushi seems to be very fresh, NO dirty taste. Sushi is prepared fresh and so many different items to chose from. My favorite is the Crazy Lover roll, excellent! I have not been adventurous enough to try the eel or anything like that, but if you like that kind of sushi they have it! I would certainly recommend this place to family and friends and we will keep going here that is certain! Just so you know I don’t give out very many 5 stars, but if I did they would have one! The staff has always been excellent and always friendly! We enjoy going here on Saturdays while we are out and about doing chores because we can have excellent food, reasonable prices and get in and out quickly!

Went there today with a big group from work. The place is a really neat concept, fun and comfortable setting and the service was good. My lunch was great. I didn’t have sushi but the chicken teriyaki bento box, edamame, spring rolls and avocado rolls were delicious. Enjoyed the place. Great environment for lunch with friends.

This place just brings us because of the Moving Sushi Bar! Sushi is not that Great. average ehh. My husband and kids have come here for years but we Dont Come Often! What totally Ruins it an For the Life of me I don’t know Why the Owners don’t give a Damn but their waiters Suck! They are not very Attentive at All! You have to keep flagging them down and they never offer Spicy Mayo! I often feel like Not Tipping them! Infact Ive gotten better service from Latinos making the sushi and bussing tables! They need to put the Asians behind counter cooking instead! Hire Nice People People for waiting on Tables! These people Never Change!

The sushi is mediocre at best, the only roll I really enjoy is the monkey roll and you have to specially request that which I wouldn’t mind if they didn’t give me the stink eye every time I even attempt to talk to them. The idea is great, conveyor belt sushi is an interesting concept that I wish there was more of in the area but besides that I wouldn’t come back just because of how terrible the service was.

Gotta love the conveyer belt. This is the place to go for cheap sushi. The sushi is ok but don’t expect anything more.

do not come here for the sushi. Come here for the experience of dining at an establishment that has a sushi belt! Everything was mediocre at best, so if you’re picky about your sushi, you will not enjoy the food here. Very roomy and you do not have to wait for your food at all!(Duh)

The conveyer belt sushi concept makes it something worth trying at least once. I’ve always had a fear of consuming old sushi that’s been going around the belt for who-knows-how-long, but I always find that the food is always at a good temperature: slightly cold for sushi, hot for tempura, for example, and I’ve never gotten sick, so I think it’s quite safe :) The selection available on the conveyer belt is usually of basic sushi rolls, less complex specialty rolls, and various appetizers. Each plate is color-coded to indicate price, which can be seen on the walls. Since each plate is small, you get to have small samplings of many different rolls, rather than a large sampling of a few rolls from ordering from the menu. Of course, the service would be faster since you basically get your food almost immediately, and the only wait time would be referring to the time it takes for the belt to go around completely. I’ve never ordered from the menu, so I can’t say anything on that front.

Kind of out of the way for me but nonetheless worth a trip for dinner. Conveyer belt sushi available to try any and everything; cooked and raw. The Monster Roll and the Volcano Roll are my favorite. Cheap sushi that still taste really good and they also have other Japanese foods for non sushi lovers.

I love this place. Really good sushi options off the conveyer belt. Good saki and good lunch specials to choose from. And depending on what kind of you get it’s really cheap. Like 1.50 for a whole roll.

Quick and convenient, friendly service, and clean interior with an inviting atmosphere. The sushi is good to me, but I wouldn’t call it spectacular. Be aware that the 2 – 5 pm happy hour does not apply on Saturdays! It’s very worth it if you go during happy hour though. You can be full on less than $ 10 easily.

Not too bad, but also nothing special. Only ate from the sushi bar and didn’t order from the menu. Sushi was kinda warm which was kind of weird. Odd seeing people that weren’t Asian making sushi in the kitchen but no big deal, overall pretty good. Good for when you’re craving sushi. Will probably be back again

Initially, I came into this sushi joint thinking that it would be a really cool place because the reviews on Unilocal made it sound super awesome with a conveyor belt of sushi rolling around with the food being just as great as the restaurant’s concept. I had imagined it to be just like the Japanese cartoons(animes) and comic books(mangas) I had read as a little middle school teeny bopper. Sadly, my expectations were probably too high for this place. While a bit of a letdown was to be expected, because putting my teenage/childhood dreams into one restaurant was obviously a bit much, I honestly can’t say this place was even close to decent as far as product. I had come with a group of 6 people during their 20%off on conveyor belt sushi, and everyone had food off of the conveyor belt, with some purchases of appetizers and bento boxes off of their lunch special. The sushi off of the line was honestly kind of sketchy. I ended up picking up some salmon nigiri, shrimp nigiri, spicy crawfish, spider roll, regular salmon roll, and a miso soup. Most of it didn’t look very fresh while I knew that the food plates were always being replenished after people had taken some off the line, I just couldn’t help but notice that when you’re up close, it doesn’t look as appealing. The taste of the food wasn’t as great either because anything that was nigiri and/or raw was oddly warm for sushi unless you specifically ordered it, like I did with the salmon rolls, which tasted fine. Also, anything that wasn’t raw(like the spider roll) had an unappealing taste and awkwardly mushy texture in your mouth. With the miso soup, it literally tasted like boiled water with seaweed and tofu in it. I ended up giving the last few bites of every plate I got to the guys at our table that were the human trash cans of our table, willing to inhale anything as long as it was edible. Although this place sounded awesome in the beginning, I don’t think the food is worth it, even if it’s cheap sushi. I ended up walking out kinda hungry and out of about $ 35. I don’t think I’ll be coming around here ever again unless the menu gets revamped by a whole lot.

My first conveyer belt sushi experience. I give it a solid4 stars. Nothing bad to say about this place, I liked it. Things I think they could improve would be variety and selection on the moving sushi. Makes me wonder what happens to the ones that stay on the line a long time. We were greeted by friendly servers/host. And sat at the conveyer bar. They gave us alittle tub of wasabi and we chose whatever we liked:-) the price is the color of the plate that they can quickly talley up. I wish they had more places like this in Dallas, will definitely come back next time I’m in Houston!

Have you ever wanted to try a bunch of different sushi but never got the chance to Because you couldn’t finish it, or you weren’t sure how it looked? Well, this place has found a way to solve this problem… a conveyor belt!!! This is such an awesome place to eat sushi because rather than someone bringing the food to you, the food comes to you on a conveyer belt! The plates go around and you can pick which plates you want, and they count the plates and charge you based on that when you’re finished. The plates are color coded and the colors correlate to different prices. The prices range from $ 1.75 to $ 4.75. Each plate has approximately 2 pieces of sushi or a roll with maybe 4 – 5 pieces. The pricing comes out to be around the same price per person, but it’s a great opportunity to try some new rolls you would never get before. The plates are affordable and the portions are small enough to let you try multiple rolls, but big enough to fill you up after a few plates. They also have ice cream for dessert, which you can have them fry it if you so desire. If you aren’t in the mood for the«choo choo» sushi, you can have them make speciality rolls or sit at their hibachi table. Overall, this is a pretty awesome and innovate place. I love introducing people to this place. The sushi is pretty standard, but the way it’s served just makes it fun and exciting! It’s definitely a place to go to and try for the experience.

Ok sushi, Cheap food. At first I was in love with this place. The chefs make it all in front of you and then just place on the conveyor belt and you just pick up as you go. Lately I’ve noticed the fish is room temp sometimes age it really freaked me out. I wish they put certain colors, age so the chefs know how long it had been out there. I love rolls, but also love sushimi and I want to know how fresh it is. You can order off of the menu and the food is good that way, but I never would go with the appetizers on the belt, I always see condensation and that isn’t too fresh.

I stopped by this spot since it was the only sushi restaurant near me. I was in town for the weekend and had to get some sushi so this was it. At first glance, it looked nice coming in and the servers were very friendly. This is my second time at a sushi place where they served rolls on a conveyor belt(first time was in Dallas). I must say that this belt was very long, however the sushi chefs kept up with the different rolls and strategically placed them evenly so you didn’t have to wait for something that you wanted. The only complaint is really had was the fact that some rolls looked like they were sitting out on the line for a while. A lot of them were very basic, so I only got three different ones off the belt(Shaggy Dog, Volcano, and Sea Dragon). They weren’t too bad and we’re actually pretty decent. Each plate off the belt had four pieces each so it all worked out for the price. Each plate is color coated and ranged from $ 2 – 5 I believe. I did order a special roll off the menu which was the Astro Roll. Surprisingly enough it was pretty good. The tempura flakes were awesome since it seemed baked fresh and nice and crunchy. Overall everything was decent, but the the quality of the sushi could be a lot better. Also, they could have made better types of rolls to chose from on the belt. I would only come back if all other sushi restaurants were closed and/or if I was really desperate and in the area.
