Smart Maids

I hired SmartMaids to do some cleaning while I was away as our regular person was out sick — I was so hoping to have a good experience as I often need extra help, and in fact was looking for someone else to come in regularly. Unfortunately I did not have a good experience. They were supposed to clean all our appliances inside and out, they only wiped them down on the outside. In the fridge they didn’t even bother with the shelves or drawers. Out of 3 bathrooms they only cleaned 1. I asked to have the linens changed, it was not done. There were water rings on the counters, it was clear they never dusted behind or under anything, the garbage wasn’t emptied… and all this for $ 100 a pop! Add to that they tried to rearrange the schedule on me after I explained I would be out of town and had guests arriving, so the time could not be changed. They did accommodate that eventually but only after several frantic emails sent from overseas…
I called and emailed to have some money refunded or some kind of compensation for the terrible cleaning job, (especially the so called «deep clean» of the appliances) — finally a woman named Konstantina replied, listened to my complaint, and I never heard from them again.
NOT RECOMMENDED — don’t waste your money, really, they are very sloppy and unprofessional.

Do you think their company name is the same as their maids? No. Their employees lack the training clean something.
Customer service was very horrible. We reached them after a few days, we would gladly make other call on other company but Smart Maids was recommended by our dear friend so we just try harder until we come-​up with the deal with them.
The deal went fine and all the details are on green. But there’s other things that makes my head itchy. It’s how punctualy (opposite) they are. Comes up whenever they want and the charges are a bit off the chart.
Would totally recommend you to other places than this.

Smart maids is a very difficult company to work with and I would suggest not even trying. I called and scheduled a cleaning when the day arrived and they weren’t able to come to the cleaning they did not call to cancel. After waiting for an hour I called them. They apologized and said the other front desk person never actually booked the cleaning even though he told me he did. They promised to call me back on Monday to reschedule. Monday and Tuesday both passed with no call I reached out to them only to be met with an answer machine and never had my calls returned.
So don’t waste your time on them.
