Sloan hall, with your sleek cases filled with beautiful jewelry I could gaze into them all day.
Sloan Hall is a very eclectic store that has a bit of an identity crisis. One side of the store is filled with some of the most gorgeous clothes in the world. I die! Then there is a wall filled with quirky cards that are funny and cheeky. Then there are display cases with some really gorgeous jewelry. Some pieces are from private owners consigning while other pieces are from individual designers. They then have a side filled with leather goods (purses and such), candles, knick-​knacks and such.
Sloan Hall is not for those watching their budget but is a fun browse around store.

Sloan-​Hall has some fabulous scents. [Editor’s note: I am still a die-​hard Le Labo. and Hove fan, but Sloan-​Hall has some great French perfume. Eff that crap at Kuhl-​Linscomb — their stuff is common expensive, Sloan-​Hall is a bit more singular (and expensive).]
If you are looking for a gift for someone and Berings and Events are a little TOO blue blood for your occasion, head here. They have a great selection of jewelry, trinkets, and oddly enough, Fred brand-​esque kitchen novelties. MOST price levels and sensibilities are covered. Oh! and a cove of bottles of captivating smells.
There’s also a wall of cards. You know, the things you write a little note inside and mail to someone or other via the USPS? They have some interestingly quirky ones here.

Great little arty-​gift shop hidden away on the corner of Kirby & Westheimer. Diptyque candles, unique selection of one of a kind boutique style jewelry and pretty soaps, serving pieces, cards etc. to get when you are looking for a hostess gift, birthday gift etc. I was happy to find it in my new city/​neighborhood, as it reminds me of some shop in Chicago I used to love. I will be back to buy some gifts as well as keep my eye on a beautiful little necklace I saw. The signage out front doesn’t do it justic from the street to the style of the items within.
