For the most part it’s a great time. Sometimes the music is a bit loud but normally it’s good music. I always bring friends and family here when they come and visit. The atmosphere of the room on the left is really cool with the dart boards and pool tables and sofa chairs. Oh and the Guinness is awesome as well.

This was my first time at this particular pub. It was super fun and we loved how the place was still pretty full on a Tuesday night. They have quite a few pool tables and a patio area outside which is a fair size. The only downfall is they have food on certain days of the week. I wish they had wings or finger foods all night. Overall, I really enjoyed myself and I liked the staff. The bar tenders are really nice and they make an awesome ocean water shot!

Dark, but nice. Good band and not so loud that you couldn’t hold a conversation.

Been coming to Sherlock’s since I could legally drink for over a decade so I think of this place like an old friend of mine. The women’s hidden bookcase bathroom is still my favorite part if I had to pick something, like an old joke of ours, even funnier to me when I’ve had a few. Bartenders have always been some of the better ones I’ve experienced. Crowd is always a good mix of different ages and mostly laid-back. It’s dark and cozy and has a bit of a «dive-ish» feel. Decent live bands play on some nights and they do have good drink specials. I can say that the $ 2 Jaeger bomb nights will get you in trouble ;)

Walked in around 11:30 on a Friday night with my wife, looked around, turned and walked out. Great if your single, have low standards and enjoy untalented musicians. That was our impression anyway.

Love going to this bar. The staff is friendly and very attentive. They always come by and check on you. There are pool tables and an outdoor patio in the back. If you want to book a party or anything this would be the place to do it. Plenty of room for a large amount of people, and you can get a live band to come in and play. No cover charge, the bouncers at the door are pretty good about keeping trouble away from the establishment so no bar fights or anything trashy to worry about encountering. The place is located in a good area, definitely for college students and those just needing a place to enjoy a drink and spend time with their friends.

Great English theme bar. Drink beer or wine, they are crap at mixed drinks and can’t ever tell you the price. On three separate times I’ve asked how much a drink will cost and they have miss priced it by as much as 400%. If you tell someone its $ 3 and then charge them $ 12 that’s not cool. So new rule. Don’t open a tab for mixed drinks, cash and carry and you should be fine.

It’s kind of a coming of age thing you must do once you turn 21 and you grew up in the area. It is hard to go wrong with the people you go there with because it has the whole range of ages and usually a lot of people you know. I found the beer cocktails very good and I have heard great things about the cocktails.

Love the atmosphere at this sherlocks! It’s always so funny seeing people try to find the restroom door. Happy hour is great and I really like how the waitress’s walk around selling cheap novelty shots. The outdoor patio area is great to hang out for the whole time. Really nice that they have the big projector screen out side to watch football and any UFC fights that may be on. When you start a tab, though, they charge you an initial $ 50 plus what ever your tab is. The $ 50 gets put back to your account but it takes a few days.

Can’t say enough about this place! We cruised in for Bingo last Tuesday evening just for something to do and we had a great time. Super attentive wait staff, great drink specials and the bingo was a blast! Was not expecting to have such a great time, was so much fun we went back Friday night. There was live music and it was just a good time. I’ll definately be a regular here!

Sherlock’s is the kind of bar that people that live around the area flock to. Great place to meet locals, have a drink by yourself or with some buddies after work. The crowd changes with the time, the later you go the younger and rowdier it gets. I’ve met some of my now best friends there and we always have a good time, Rachel is the best bartender hands down. Bear in mind that it is still in Clear Lake, so the Clear Lakeness will always be present. Overall a good spot to hang out after work or even to chill with friends. One of the few places Clear Lake has to offer.

Pretty good beer list that covers a reasonable range of beer styles, although a few are usually out. Servers are pleasant, but frequently a little overburdened with tables. Reasonable prices, with free snacks at happy hour– nothing fancy or even good, but who doesn’t like Fritos? Bathrooms are hidden, which doesn’t seem wise for a place that serves alcohol. The men’s room door is often propped open so it can be found, but the ladies requires a guide. Watch where you park before 9pm — an awful lot of the huge strip mall parking lot is reserved for neighboring establishments.

I came here on a Monday night and there was a decent crowd, $ 2 wells and I think $ 2.50 domestic bottles so not too bad on drink special prices. They had a live band that played good covers so that was entertaining. I was also a first timer and I had a good time. Nothing was bad except having to see this couple directly in front of me practically eating each other’s faces and touching one another very inappropriately in public, that was weird. We also got 3 free shots from our sever because she said some man likes to buy em just to look at it so she gave them to us. That was cool. But I would recommend coming with a group of fun friends, if it was poppin on a Monday I’m sure it’s even better on other days plus weekends.

All they play here is cover music and it sucks. A meat market on Mondays where most hoes and douche-bags attend in order to trade stds. Drinks should be cheaper at such a grody place like this and they have restroom attendants. So forget about washing your hands every time you want to use the restroom.

This has been my one stop shop for a cold one and wacky trivia tourneys since 2005. Its a fun place to meet up with friends and have a good time. I had to downgrade them since they got rid of the food menu.

I have never been to a more enjoyable bar. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the bartenders do not skimp on the pours. Make sure to go during happy hour and you’ll be quite surprised at how low your tab will be. Their prices for shots and speciality drinks are also quite reasonable. I look forward to my next night out here in the future.

This is as a great bar in my book. It is built in a sort of figure 8 pattern(with an extra loop at the top right(pool and bathroom area), so you can walk around and check out who is there. It tends to have bands playing, but it isn’t so loud you can’t have a conversation in the booths or in the other room. It’s a great set-up. Lots of places to sit, both at the bar and in the regular area. I never sat up front with those big chairs in the front L side; they were always full of cruisers. I hung out near the Golden Tee machines/booths and dart boards early in the night and then moved into the big room as it got later. Trivia night is always a riot. One of the few places with great live(but rarely new) music AND a place to sit. It is a huge bar and they have a full range of spirits, but it is more of a place to order a beer because of the crowds and you don’t want to have to slow down the bartender because they have a wall of people to serve. I think a rum/coke, vodka/soda, etc 1-combo is ok to order though. But whoever posted the margarita pic is crazy. That is just mean. They used to do Monday dollar beer nights during football season but I haven’t been there on a Monday in a long time, so I am not sure if that still goes. If you do, be sure to be good about tipping, because they are always good about maintaining the correct tabs and so forth. It is the only real bar in its area in that part of Clear Lake(would probably be even busier if it was in Seabrook, but that is a good trade-off, I think). Prices are good, bartenders remember you, and it is a good mixed crowd where you can meet someone new each time you go and still see old friends.

Soooooo. It’s kinda hard to rank this bar. First off, when it comes to an all-round great bar, it’s slim pickings out in this part of town; so I can’t judge too hard. However, dunno it I’d exactly say it’s completely awesome. But the thing is, it doesn’t matter which Sherlock’s you go to — be it out off 249, in The Village or River Oaks — they’re all pretty much the same. Loud cover band. Cheesy music. Seriously diverse clientele(think frat boys to wannabe gangstas). Weak pours. I’ve been to this Sherlock’s exactly two times. Once, circa 2006 when I was 24 or so and I forgot my ID. They wouldn’t let me in, natch, so my BF and I walked away. Sober and sad. Second time with this past week. Our group did a tour of Clear Lake happy hour spots, and of course, Sherlock’s is on the regular rotation. From the loud dance floor to the peaceful-ish lounge area to the sporty pool table area, we each found a spot suitable for our current moods. But in the end, true to Sherlock’s fashion, we all found ourselves on the dance floor burning up a sweat and dancing to God knows what. My tab was more than what I would want to pay in a place like this, but the bartender was incredibly attentive and took care of me all night. Come next Clear Lake Friday with my friends, I wouldn’t mind coming back for a song or two. Cheers.

It is not Molly’s. So that explains the rating above one star. The beer selection is nothing like Flying Saucer — but they do not hold themselves to be anything like the Flying Saucer so that is okay. They have darts! They have pool tables! The bartenders are usually pretty nice, or at least not complete d-bags. This sounds like a foursies review, right? The last three times I have been in here there have been some young people(read: wearing college tshirts) that definitely should have been cut off but the bartenders kept serving, and the d-bags kept getting louder and louder. This is a place you bring a drinking buddy, not a date or someone you want to impress. If you are on a serious date with someone you want to impress and the d-bag situation happens right next to you during a game of darts you are absolutely killing, you really do not earn any points by suggesting you leave — since it was your suggestion to come here in the first place.
