Secured Moving & Packing Co

I used
to reserve some help packing our belongings into a POD. The name of the company that I chose to do the work was «Professional Movers» but I was contacted by Secured Moving & Packing Co. to setup the appointment. They called to verify the date, time, how many guys, etc.
On the day of the big move, nothing. No call, no show. They were supposed to be at the house between 1 – 2 pm. I called them at 4 pm and the owner, Roosevelt Mitchell, tells me that they went over on a job and would arrive later. I tell him to give me a call to give me an idea of when they would arrive. No problem, except that he never called. I call them back way too many times to count for him to tell me, at 10 pm that they would have to reschedule for the next day. I’m mad, but I go to sleep and cool down.
Next day, they show up an hour or so late (no phone call, mind you) and begin moving our things into the POD. They guys at my house were polite and efficient. They started moving my stainless steel refrigerator and BOOM, giant scratches and dents on the front doors and freezer drawer. Of course, no one wants to take any responsibility or own up to the problem. I call Roosevelt Mitchell and he ensures me that the move would be at no cost to me and they would make the refrigerator issue right.
Fast forward a week, Roosevelt Mitchell acts like he doesn’t know who I am or what company I am talking about. A business owner that acts super shady and tries to scam a customer for a problem that his guys created gets no love from me.
The beauty of it is that because he cancelled my order and didn’t require payment, my order mysteriously vanishes like it never happened at all… The dents on my refrigerator sure haven’t vanished yet and I doubt they ever will. I hope to post a positive update on this!
