On a cold rainy night. me and my BFF decided we were going to go out for pizza and wine. I was not disappointed at all despite the gloomy cold weather. I would highly recommend this location. Great staff and management. I had a great experience! Their pizza is awesome and their selection of wine is great as well. One slice of pizza is all I could do but it was such a large piece you could share it and still walk away pretty full. But why get stuffed with pizza when they have a variety of desserts you can try. The red velvet cake was calling my name but I just couldn’t… I’ll have to try it next time. My best friend tried the chocolate cake which was amazing. Had a couple of bites only but it was enough. The atmosphere is relaxing and their music selection gives you a jazz feel to the place where you can mellow out to the tunes. For those sport fans they have a pretty good set up of TV ‘s from a couple of angles. One at the bar, one by the sofa where you can lounge and one in the dinning area if I’m not mistaken. Overall I enjoyed every bite and drink and I would definitely come back for another round of this little spot.

Below sub par pizza for a premium price. Ordered 2 pizzas and a salad and it was $ 58. It did not satisfy my pizza craving.

Embarrassment of an experience for lunch. Confirmed with cashier that I could get the Calzone without olives and bell pepper. No problem I was told. First calzone was cold inside with olives. Second calzone with olives. Server had audacity to blame me, saying I never requested no olives and wanted the ticket I had thrown away. Cashier reprinted it and shown to cook, who was argumentative. Left without a meal and had to demand refund, though they didn’t refund my tip. Absolutely not recommended due to poor customer service and food quality.

Tomato Basil soup was good, a bit spicy. Didn’t like the cracked bowl it came in, it was chipped on the side and the crack went all the way… Place is nice looking, the discount for checking in was a great surprise!

Came in during lunch time with my husband who had never had Russo’s and was excited. He ordered a slice of pepperoni pizza. The place was dead and the wait time was perfect but I’m big on customer service and it wasn’t up to par. The boy behind the counter didn’t seem to thrilled to answer any questions. There was no suggestive selling or any inquiry as to whether this is your first time with us let me tell you about our pizza… nothing. Once the boy finished taking our order he joined his 2 other co-workers for a play session. My husband got his pizza and was not impressed and we got the heck out of there. I don’t think we’ll be back, at least not this location.

On a Saturday afternoon a friend and I were craving something fulling so when we saw this pizza place we decided to give it a go. The store front is cute and obviously trying to portray a New York feel. A couple people were casually seated at the tables in front. When you walk in, it seems a little small but towards the back it is a bit roomy. Being a gloomy day, we didn’t expect many people to be there and we were right. We only wanted pizza to-go, so we were glad when we found out we could. Here, you can get a famously sized NY-style slice of pizza. I love how you can create your own unique slice with any 4 toppings you choose. I personally ordered a slice with Homemade Pesto, Feta cheese, Canadian bacon, and Portobello mushrooms.(They also serve desserts and pasta but we decided to pass.) The waiting time was around 15 minutes.(Reasonable cooking time) When it came, I decided to order a café latte however they told me only the fountain drinks worked so that was a bummer. Anyway, my pizza was delicious but I would have preferred my thin crust pizza to be at least a little bit thicker. Overall, I would say this is a good place to get reasonably priced pizza for 3.5 star quality. Many of these negative reviews here dealt with delivery so we didn’t face any trouble walking in to order.

We’ve been to a Russos Pizzeria before but this one was friendly fast and very tasty. The service was great and for a Sunday afternoon the place was still very enjoyable. The manager was awesome he walked over himself and asked if we being taken care of. We will be back

We had pizza and pasta with salad for dinner along with a bottle of Malbec. The food was pretty good and the service was very nice. We plan to go back again. We visited the location on a Friday evening and the mid-town area of Houston is hopping with activity. As long as you don’t mind a steady flow of out for fun traffic going by the outside dining is the best choice. While we where there a parade went by so it was very entertaining. Certainly there are other pizza places around the area but this one worked for us. If you haven’t you should give it a try.

My calzone was great. Their gluten free pizza is pretty good too. The delivery took a while though and their food is kinda overpriced.

Got delivery tonite. The bread had green mold on it and was half raw unbaked dough. I paid $ 65+ for dinner but threw it out. Nasty!

Food: Pesto Chicken Pasta: It was really good, I salted a little extra but it was tasty Tomato Basil Soup: Ok! It’s was still very hot upon delivery. Came with a hefty serving of garlic/parsley pita bread. I’d try it again. Slice of Pepperoni pizza: REALLYBIG! Loaded with pepperoni. Flavor? My brother says 4 stars Oreo/New York cheesecake: My brother loved his it was gone before his pizza. Mine was very good and flavorful however too soft for my liking. Could be from the warmth in the delivery so I’m going to put it in the fridge and see the results from there Garlic Bread: Average bread nothing to special about it. Only con, delivery took a little over an hour. But I like the fact that they called to let me know they’re were out of certain thing and what I could replace with instead of just not bringing it at all. Overall I’d order again.

Russo’s is a great, standard Italian/pizza joint. They have awesome deals on wine during happy hour(half price glasses and bottles yes PLEASE) and their pizza is good! I like that they offer up and coming pizza star toppings, like kale(DON’T get me started on how much I love kale on pizza). It takes the best from traditional and new school pizza which is awesome! The only reason I’m giving this place a four and not a five is that it is just a LITTLE cramped in there. Their table arrangements are kind of odd(there are a lot of six tops?). However, the service is fantastic. I wish I had tried one of their yummy looking desserts!

This is some very tasty pizza! We first had it at a birthday party a few weeks ago. It was so good we found one near our home and have ordered from there 3 times in the last month.

We came to Russo’s early on a Friday night and had no problem getting a table outside instantly(luckily it isn’t too hot out yet). My friend and I both ordered salads and a slice of pizza and although my Greek salad was great, I didn’t realize how big the pizza slices were! In retrospect, I really wish I hadn’t ordered the salad since I was only able to take 2 bites of it before my pizza slice came out. And a slice of Margherita pizza always wins out over salad! Our waitress was great, even being very patient with us hanging out at the table for a while after paying the checks and getting to-go boxes. I love the location and will definitely come back for some great Margherita pizza.

Absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had with pizza delivery. Pizza showed up an hour late and cold. Called the restaurant to ask about my delivery order and they put me on hold for 10 minutes just to pick up the phone and give me a rude response. Didn’t even apologize and hang up the phone on me. Do yourself a favor and never order from this place. This place deserves ZERO stars.

After arriving at 9:25pm I was immediately confronted(at the door) and told I was not allowed to have a seat for«dine-in». This shorter employee also made it very clear that the only pizza available was the pizza already made…(Mind you, this place closes at 10pm) After not being able to sit down or order new menu items we decided to leave to a competitor. Pinks pizza closes at the same time and welcomed our party with open arms, providing great service and quality pizza. I will never return to Russos due to this employees actions and below average customer service. I suggest future patrons avoid this experience.

I have never had a worse pizza delivery experience. The order was not correct and the crust was literately so thin that you could actually SEE light thru it when you tried to pick it up. I say tried because it would do nothing but tear like a piece of notebook paper… And to make it the worst I have had, the pizza was absolutely stone cold! No exaggeration here… there was no warmth to even the box. This was my first and last business with Russo’s. I cannot believe they start open with pizza like this. $ 25.00 down the drain!

Very basic pizza. I personally didn’t think it was anything special(I had the italian slice, their equivalent of everything on it), but my friend really enjoyed her ham and pineapple pizza. The crust of the pizza is not very good, but overall it’s a good amount of pizza for the price, and convenient location. Decently sized dining room with lots of tables, good for parties of 2 – 6, but big parties might have a harder time.

White Pizza/spinach artichoke slice was not even edible. It was literally a bucket of spinach artichoke liquid dip smothered on a regular pizza slice until it was floppy and inedible. Not to mention the cashier handed me my receipt to sign then turned and walked away. No thank you no acknowledgement. I honestly didn’t know if I should wait around or take the food and run. Will not be back
