This is my first time when I bought the alcohol at this shop. There is a huge range with good shop assistance to make a right decision.
This is one of the few places a drink of which I am very satisfied. The champagne was really great and everyone made a great compliment to a wonderful meal with delicious bottle of champagne.

went there yesterday. most of the employees are men. the employees were very rude, unhelpful, and pestering. and kept asking the same question over and over again «Do you know what you are trying to find»? And when I asked for help in finding something one of the pestering male employees didn’t even know where it was at. I found it instead. This location is usually empty and overstaffed.

When I can’t treck all the way to Spec’s Midtown, Richard’s is my spot. They recently moved up the street from South Shepherd next to the Red Lion over to Shepherd and San Felipe. The lot’s easier to get in, and you have entrance from both sides of the streets (Shep and SF).
The selection is smaller than Spec’s, but you’ll be in and out if you know what you’re looking for. Unfortch, they didn’t have the vodka I was searching for (Deep Eddy Ruby Red), but the kind gent said they’re expecting a shipment soon. He then gave me a non-​alcoholic mixer that was about to expire. Cool.

This location has a great selection of wines, and many bottles of each, that surprisingly Spec’s Midtown does not always have in stock.
Even tough they have technically been bought by Spec’s, they do not do that stupid cash/​debit discount. I am purchasing wine with my company card, so I am not going to the trouble to get a dang check printed to purchase wine on a whim, sorry Spec’s — I HATE THAT ABOUT YOU GUYS.
I digress, back to Richard’s… the guy who helped me out was friendly and super helpful. I also love that this place is right across the street from me. If I was an alcoholic he’d know me by name.

I stopped her on a whim because my husband has been on the search for his favorite 15 year scotch that has been discontinued. I found one bottle here and Rudi was kind enough to search inventory at their other locations. We ended up with 5 bottles total of the scotch. Hubby’s happy, therefore I am happy! (although our bank account isn’t!) Very kind staff and a beautiful store!
