I’ve been going to Rich Auto Services since 2012 — I highly recommend their service. Darrell Rich will listen to your problem and ask questions to further help his diagnosis… and do it without the condescending attitude you get from most mechanics. He’ll show you the readout from the diagnostic computer and will keep you updated on the entire process — no surprises, just honest work. My 2003 Pontiac Aztek is still purring along after 3 years of service with Rich Auto Services! I even entrust my class B motorhome into their care.

Rich Auto Services is a small shop with huge value. The guys at Riches know there stuff and are fair and reasonable. They are not going to bs you about getting unnecessary work, and the work that they do is top notch and done right with FAIR pricing. I am very happy to have found this gem of a shop. He also works on performance vehicles. I would definitely recommend talking with Rich he is very informative, professional, and courteous. I have no relation to Rich or his shop, I am just a real customer who found a real good place to take your car.

We live in Houston. This requires a car. They break down.
Here’s where things get hairy: finding a good mechanic.
They might do good work but take your wallet for a ride. Or they are priced decently but you aren’t totally happy with the service. This place strikes a fine balance.
Mr. Rich is up front, available to chat and answer questions, BEFORE he begins the work. He also quotes you for the low and high ends, allowing you to decide, which works best for you. Speedy work and I got to drop it off on a weekend, and pick it up after work, even though he was closed. Little things like this matter.
What I like best is it’s local. It’s not part of a larger corporation. He has a true interest in the auto business and he knows his stuff! He also works on any make and model. Any.
If you live near the west side, try them out!
