I liked having the option to make custom clothing, because they have a wide array of nice fabrics. It is a little pricey though and you have to go to a tailor a few doors down or find your own (additional costs). In some way, I wish I had just gotten pre-​stitched salwars.

I loved her designs. Stylish & unique, Sameera and other sales people are very helpful.

This is my favorite store on Hilcroft. The customer service is truly outstanding and the clothes and accessories are very high quality. The clothing boutique is separate from the jewelry boutique, but I was impressed with my experience at both stores!

Before I get to how incredible the clothing is, I have to comment on the outstanding service my family and I received. We were greeted when we entered and the service was absolutely perfect. Now onto the clothes! The quality is spot on and the variety of styles available at the store were fantastic. We bought a few pieces and every one is unique and eye catching my fiancé and I have gotten so many compliments already on them! I definitely recommend checking out Poshak next time you need south asian clothes, you wont regret it!

My friend and I went here recently to shop for an upcoming wedding. Neither of us are of South Asian decent, so we were naturally a little lost when we came in.
This confusion didn’t last. We were greated by Sameera Faridi, the director of the store as well as a designer whose shop is part of the boutique. We chatted with her for a little bit about what we were looking for and our price range.
Sameera was extremely friendly and helpful to us. She explained the cultural significance of specific colors and what we should probably avoid when attending a Hindu wedding ceremony. She helped us find the right size and then worked with us to find the colors and accessories that we liked. It is on the pricy side, but compared to other forms of formal wear, it is still affordable.
We both left the store feeling especially grateful. I would highly recommend the shop to anyone looking for formal wear!

I am absolutely wowed by the quality of their clothes and intricate details/​work that goes into making a custom ordered outfit. I ordered my bridal dress from here and am so extremely happy with how it turned out and the precise measurements. this was my first time custom ordering and I couldn’t be more satisfied with what I received. The colors were exactly how I wanted it, the work was absolutely amazing, and the fit was as perfect as it could be. I have no reason to go elsewhere when I know I will get what I want and will receive VIP treatment when I walk in! Awesome customer service! Definitely have a customer for life!

So there are two sides to this boutique: the shoes, jewelry and accessories section, and right next door is the sari boutique (which is the pricy side, hence the $$$$ on Unilocal).
I, along with my family, always go to the accessories section for bangles! Bangles, bangles, bangles. They’re the least expensive you’ll find in «Little India» — that’s for sure. They have a beautiful assortment as cheap as $ 3 per pack, versus other shops (like Roop Sari) that sells theirs for $ 10 – 15 per pack. These make for amazing stocking stuffers and gifts for all the little fashionistas in the family; my three-​year-​old niece loves hers.

Poshak is a high end, fashion forward boutique with beautiful and elegant designs that truly stand out. I can say this because I have been a customer for quite a few years, and just recently bought my most important outfits from them– my wedding outfits! For a South Asian Bride, you must worry about not one, but three or more outfits for all the wedding events that will take place around the time of the ceremony. Before I could freak out, I went straight to the designer and owner of Poshak Fashion & Style, Sameera Faridi.
Sameera is a great designer, amazingly talented, and makes you feel so comfortable and welcome in her store– the moment I decided to get my wedding outfit, I immediately wanted to design my other event outfits with her as well– her friendly nature and attitude made the entire process so smooth! I have to admit, there are times when I was super stressed with everything, and even changed little details about dress orders at the last minute, but Sameera was more than accomodating, very understanding and had no problem in getting things done. I also must add, during this time, she also happened to be VERY pregnant and yet she continued to work on my orders and got everything done just as i had hoped… a true professional!
Thank you Poshak and thank you Sameera for being so great and making all my wedding events so memorable– I had events in Houston as well as in Boston, and at all the events people would not stop praising and complimenting my outfits! :)

I went to a Pakistani wedding this past December dressed in a brown jacket and orange/​peach shirt/​tie combination. Yes, the ensemble looked nice. But boy was it a missed opportuity to bust out with some designer South Asian threads. POSHAK has a very big selection of men’s clothing, from comfortable casual wear to austure formal gargments. Some of the latter look like they should be behind glass in a museum — they are that stunning. The formal wear is expensive, but the quality is amazing. You can’t find designs this intricate and well-​composed anywhere in the city, so if you want to go all Bollywood for a special occasion, this is the place to go. South Asian casual clothing is so comfortable to wear, and I think every guy should have an outfit or two. Come on, this is Houston, one of the most culturally diverse metropolises in the country — you’re eventually going to have don the desi wear sooner or later.

Absolutely the best experience I’ve had during wedding planning! Sameera (owner) kindly worked with me in creating shaadi/​walima outfits more beautiful than what I could have imagined! Her professionalism, enthusiasm for fashion, and attention to detail makes shopping an enjoyable experience! Aside from wedding outfits, Poshak has the most beautiful collection of fabrics, jewelry, and clothing I’ve seen in the Pakistani/​Indian community! Love this store!

The store has one of the best collections of designer desi clothes from around the world. There are no pressure sells and presentation of the clothes is perfect.

The only place I would go to buy South Asian clothing.
Not good at haggling prices? Good because all their prices are set, no haggling.
Clothing is a little higher priced then its competitors in the area, but Poshak always carries the up to date fashion, while the others carry the old discounted stuff.
