4 stars for the King Cake Latte… perfection! Purchased a 12ct/K-Cup box & was told all I needed to duplicate the taste of the latte was cream. I looked forward to that first cup but it wasn’t the same, even after adding cream. Had to also add sugar… still not the same taste. The counter rep assured me all I’d need was cream. Wrong. 3 stars for the days old, ice box cold, plastic-wrapped King Cake slices we purchased for $ 2.95 each in order to receive $ 1 off our coffee purchases per deal on Facebook. These were unappealing looking slices since they were tightly wrapped in plastic wrap & the frosting was all smudged. Asked to purchase the $ 3.95 mini King Cakes in boxes on counter. Was told the $ 1 off coffee deal was for $ 2.95 slices only. Since they were cold, asked if they could be warmed. Counter rep heated but put back in paper sleeves(no plate… although I see they have plates since there was one on top of trash receptacle). She put 2 warmed slices in same paper sleeve so 2 of us had to share the sleeve as our«plate». Tasted good but still cold in center. Also couldn’t cut w/the little plastic forks provided. Had to «fork it» & munch around… classy. 2 stars for the lackluster customer service. One young lady was cheerful & smiling, other young lady in glasses seemed tired(this was late afternoon w/only a couple of people sitting inside & no wait). When I told glasses lady of FB deal, she didn’t seem to know anything about it but upon asking happy lady, was told to just give 25% discount. Ended up w/slightly better deal than $ 1 off each coffee drink we bought… thank you. Young, quiet guy w/piercings made the coffee… good job dude! No ambiance outside. A couple of metal tables w/chairs & a mardi gras flag flying in the wind. Could use some curb appeal for sure(large potted planters?). That corner is so windy, the door kept blowing open on it’s own… annoying. Inside cute, but I don’t recall any music playing & a large wall t.v. was not on. A couple of corner booths occupied by 1 student each, using their laptops but didn’t see drinks/food w/them. Forgot to check the restroom. Would be nice to see beignets on the menu. I hope this is helpful to management. I will be back for the coffee, when I’m out in that area, because it is really good. Just needs a little tweaking to make it a «must go» destination.

Thank god they have finally made it to Houston! Getting really sick of cookie cutter coffee from that overpriced chain all over town who could care less about customer service and quality. My wife and I recently discovered PJ’s on a trip to Lake Charles and we vowed we were done with the ‘bucks. What really made this place stand out to us was the fact that there is only one person working there and it takes the same amount of time to get our coffee as it would at the other place with 5+ working there. PJ’s please hurry and expand around town! The sooner we can get your coffee closer to us the better!

I liked a lot this bakery & coffee place. They offer coffee from different countries and of different flavors. The prices are lower than in other popular coffee places. I like that they have big parking lot right in front of the entrance. I recommend Irish coffee with a bit of soy milk.

When I am in the area… It’s a must have for my PJs mocha velvet ice… Still tastes GREAT! HOWEVER, the service is lacking and slow. I am greeted at the drive thru by a sign that kindly suggests that I drive around to the window since the speaker is broken. Completely understandable… I pull up to the window and there’s another sign that asks to «please honk to let us know you’re here.» Again… I’m up for the challenge, so I honked but no one came to the window.(Felt quite silly honking at nothing) I then decided to go inside to order. There were two girls working, it wasn’t busy but it took forever for drinks to go out. I noticed that when making multiple drink orders, they only make ONEAT A TIME versus prepping and getting multiple drinks going. Let’s train & multitask to get these coffee beans rolling guys!

The good: The place was very well lit, clean, and there is a decent sized parking lot. Their hot chocolate is great and the staff is nice. There weren’t many people there so I didn’t have a problem finding a place to study. There is also covered seating out front. The bad: it’s a New Orleans based coffee shop yet nothing about it says New Orleans except for the door that say pj’s coffee of New Orleans. I was expecting a beignet and some light jazz music. Since they don’t have beignets, I bought a croissant that they warmed up and was super crunchy. The elevator music that is too loud was so annoying. I also couldn’t stand that they propped the door open to a busy street. This place wasn’t terrible, but I’m not surprised that other coffee shops were packed while this one was empty.

I’ll match the 4 star average at present no problem as we used Unilocal to find this place with a simple search for you guessed it «coffee». Appears to have opened about a year ago and the prices were fair with quick and friendly service(they even have a drive through) and easy ample parking. I enjoyed my dose of caffeine in an iced coffee which came out in less than 60 seconds. If you want to see what Houston really looks like in person, enjoy the outdoor seating with a good view of downtown, complete with smog, air pollution and the roar of vehicles speeding down I-10. And in all fairness(I am giving 4 stars to match everyone else) there is something missing here… Lemme see… New Orleans… Coffee. New Orleans… Sweets. New Orleans… MUSIC! This place lacked any ambiance and was just dead boring. Why? All you can hear is the steady hum of refrigerators. Once you realize that’s all you can hear aside from cars and honking outside it seems to get louder. So being from New Orleans(and having a real life Tina Belcher working here) is really cool. Great service. But what about some soft music like oh I dunno… Jazz? But what do I know about music?

The coffee is very good. The food though…
These guys have both iced and hot coffee flavors that are different. Just what you’d expect from a Cajun version of something already beat to death. Give this place a shot and you might break your Starbucks fixation, discover decant parking and meet a different crowd.

I really like their iced coffee. I get a small or medium which is the perfect amount of caffeine, depending on what I’m needing. I don’t get all jittery afterwards. The employees are really nice but all of them tend to give me this super confused face everytime I pull up to the drive thru window? Not sure what that’s about. I always get an iced coffee with vanilla and soy. Pretty reasonable, easy to understand? Have never had an issue with it… The girl today asked me if I wanted French vanilla flavored coffee or vanilla syrup? Hmm Just read the reviews and saw something about q punch card. Would be nice to be informed, I’m starting to come here a ton. Overall I like this place a ton Bought my friend a mocha velvet ice the other day, she’s more into frappuchinos etc. the speaker box girl told me this was the closest comparable option. My friend said it was amazing.

$ 1.50 for a macaroon the size of a quarter. The coffee is okay at best. The best thing about this place is that there’s a Tina Belcher look alike that works here.

I’m giving this place a 3 star, not because it was bad or because I had any issues with it, but it just didn’t really stand out to me. They had a wide variety of coffee drinks, which was pretty good. I did get to try one of their frozen drinks, which was like a frappacino at Starbucks. They did have a bit more of the coffee flavor than your typical starbucks. The pricing was about the same as starbucks as well. The nice thing is their sizes are a bit bigger than starbucks so it does make it seem more worth it. Atmosphere: this place is nice because there’s plenty of light for studying, it’s a pretty quiet place, and there’s plenty of outlets everywhere which is always awesome! They also have free wifi which is great. Overall, a nice place to study, but there wasn’t anything that really stood out to me about this place, but nothing too negative about it either.

Ordered iced coffees(with milk, one sweetened and one unsweetened) and they were absolutely undrinkable. This was in the evening, and it tasted like the coffee had been sitting all day waiting for us; stale, noticeably burnt, and overpoweringly bitter. Don’t get me wrong, I love a bold, powerful, and decently bitter cup of iced coffee instead of the cloying milkshake-like dreck that passes as iced coffee at most places, but this was just simply dreadful. I guess they don’t like making new coffee when there’s less than an hour before closing. To add insult to injury, it cost me over $ 10 for the privilege of relieving them of two cups of their caustic coffee that we immediately poured out.

Fairly new coffee joint that opened off i-10 and Durham straight from the swamps of nawwwllinnns. Just kidding. I do believe they’re from New Orleans though. I’ve been here a couple times to grab a cup of joe and haven’t been disappointed. i usually get one of the flavored iced coffees, they have a «specials» board with a few flavors they have for the day. They have a drive-thru for you lazy peeps and also wifi for those who want to come and claim territory for a bit longer. I’ve been meaning to try the frozen coffee that I was eyeing the last time I went. MUSTHAVEIT.

Oh… how I’ve missed Louisiana. Thank you for opening PJs. It lives up to all of my expectations. I have only been once so far, but I will definitely return again and again.

I’ve been here twice and the service has been so awesome that I’ve really wanted to put a review. The coffee is fantastic and very well priced. The baristas are super nice and there’s even a punch card!(Although I didn’t know about it the first time it’s ok)

Had a hazelnut latte and the bf had a pralines & cream latte, which he LOVED. We were both delighted with the chocolate-cappuccino muffin! It was a great afternoon stop, and I definitely want to go back! Can’t wait to try the granita and hazelnut coffee that everyone is raving about.

Got the iced coffee. My ride to work from here to my building is about 5 finds and the ice was already melted. I asked for cream and sugar. She said 2%. Cream means cream right? And no sugar. It was in the drive through so I’ll give the benefit of the doubt it was just a misunderstanding. Prices are fine. The guy who opened the window didn’t say a word to me. The girl was nice. This is a America so Starbucks is basically the level of service and product I expect. If you’re getting in this business I feel like you’d need to match or exceed them. I would much rather give my money to a smaller fish, but I won’t be going here again. Also, another note. Take the tip line off the receipt. You handed my drink in the drive through. I feel bad not giving a tip. I don’t wanna feel bad buying coffee and I don’t want to tip the drive through. Sonic doesn’t even have a tip line and it is known you should tip them. Get a jar…

Service was nice and friendly. Got a blended Velvet Ice Green Tea– raving about how well blended it was! No irritating bits of ice and perfect amount of sweet. Had a strawberry and cream pastry with the heavenly scent of butter wafting from it when they brought it to the table. Will be back again very soon!

I went there for the first time today and I plan to be back often. I had the white chocolate latte and it was delicious! Just a touch of sweetness. So good! Everyone in our group enjoyed their coffee. They even serve their brownies/pastries warm! Yum! Their staff was extremely friendly and the service was top notch! A welcome change from the big coffee chains.
