Great store. Alec is always so helpful. Mechanics do a great job! They always have a great sale! The yearly membership is totally worth it!!!

A pleasure to shop there. I just bought a very nice fat bike(the Access Chinook Charlie) from there after about a couple of months of research. I received exceptional service from Cody(Kudos to the manager who was wise enough to hire this gem of an employee!) who goes above and beyond the standard level of service. When I received the bike, the assembly and setup was near perfect. Keep up the good work guys!

Prices were pretty decent since they had quite a few items on sale, especially the tires(which was what I was looking for). The girl I spoke with was super nice and very attentive with full of knowledge. She helped me out and was pretty honest with the questions I had. They are going through a personnel change so I’m giving them a benefit of the doubt.

Found this place close to my house. Went in to kill some time and saw they did tune-ups, so I came back the same day and they told me I would be a couple weeks since the mechanic just had a baby. I called and talked to Cody and he said he would get it done as soon as he could. Got it a week early and looks like they took their time with it. Rides super smooth and I am looking forward to the rain slowing down to enjoy the ride but kinda hope it keeps raining so I can bring it back after I go mudding! Haha. Thanks a lot Cody I appreciate getting me out on the rode early.

I just wanted to share my appreciation to the guys and gals at Performance Bicycle on 1960. I got my first road bike from this location, along with a ton of accessories, and I have never been disappointed! Today I called in to see about getting a fitting done, the shop doesn’t do them on weekends for obvious reasons, but the manager Evan told me to come in and took care of me. The fitting went smooth and was pretty much done before I got there, but Evan took the time to explain a few riding fundamentals to me(a fairly new rider) and even did a basic check and cleaning of my bike. The information he gave me today will go an extremely long way in improving my riding experience! I’ve been to Sun Ski and REI on 1960, they are both nice shops but neither go the distance that Performance goes to for me!

I brought my low end bicycle to this shop on January 13th to have the rear wheel looked at, guessing I needed new bearings. Unfortunately a employee told me the mechanic was not available until the next day, but before leaving the manager Cody(blonde with glasses) assisted me. He took my bike to the back to check it out and adjusted it accordingly. On top of that he also tuned + oiled my gears and chain. To put the cherry on top, he taught me step by step what he was doing so if I needed to in the future, I could do it myself at home. My bicycle has never rode this smooth before and I thank him for his generous help!

I had to have my bike fitted for me, and walked into Performance Bike Saturday evening. Cody was the mechanic and he checked my bike out to see if there were any problems with it. He filled the tires with air and told me that is all it needed… Originally he said that I might have to wait for a week to get fitted, but he moved things around and made time for me the following day. He was very professional. He fit the cycle for me the next day and was gave me many helpful tips. I am definitely going back there for my bike needs. As for the store, It was raining the day i was there and there were roof leaks everywhere. some of them on the bikes on display. I hope they get that fixed soon.

Friend and I purchased bikes here on different days both bikes left the store with loose handles after they said it was safe to ride. Returned for a quick repair and the mechanic did not have time for it, 2 weeks would be the earliest the other mechanic would have time for it. Took the bike to another shop for a quick fix with no problem or negativity, Rest of the group will purchase bikes at said shop.

I want to highlight the staff at this store, particularly Chris in the bike repair area. My other half was out of town and asked that I bring in his Quintana Roo bike to repair the handles and add air to the tires and so I did. I told Chris what the issue was, and he racked the bike and started to inspect the handles. My immediate thought was that I didn’t even bother to ask how much this was going to cost and by now he brought out his tools and started working on the handles. A good 15 – 20 minutes, he wheeled the bike back to me and said it was fixed. I asked the big question of how much it was and his answer, «Don’t worry about it. It just needed air.» I was very appreciative for his help and highly recommend this place for great service and quality products!

Just picked up my new Fuji Gran Fondo from the folks at Performance. They’ve been really helpful — especially Gene and Chris. Everyone in the store seems almost as excited for me to have my 1st road bike as I am. They have a wide selection and great prices. Join their Team Performance Club — I was able to get about $ 150 worth of points by purchasing my bike there. Check them out. Good people, good service, and good equipment.

Great selection of bikes, and even better prices. I recently purchased a Scattante road bike for my wife. After shopping around to 6 different bike shops in Houston not only did I find the best deal at Performance, but I also was able to get a bike with upgrade components(Shimano 105s) for the same price that everyone else was offering at with the step below components(Shimano Tiagra). Before you purchase your next bike, check out this shop!

These guys are great… specially the bike shop… you drop in you bike say this morning and if its a minor repair, it will be ready in a jiffy. they are very attentive and very reasonable prices… i’ve picked up a lot of bike accessories and tools from this place because they have a very competitive pricing, i still love the other stores. Also very convenient for me to get to…

Okay. So when I am not stuffing my face with good food, I am riding my prize Yeti full-suspension mountain bike trying to work off all those calories. I’ve been biking(either competitively or for serious recreation) for around 20 years now, so I am a bit of a bike aficionado(others might call it a snob). That being said, I also like to buy stuff cheap. I’ve known this company for a long time now and have spent a lot of money through their online catalog or visited local shops in CA when I travel there. Good parts at highly competitive prices. This place does NOT measure up to my previous experience with the company. The manager at this place(guy with the funny eye?) seems disinterested in biking and customer service in general. Can’t say the same for the mechanic, who was friendly and helpful. Prices do not match up to the web prices and they will charge you the full amount unless you dog them about matching the web prices. My advice is to go online and order there, or go down the street to Bike Lane, where Ken CARES about biking. Even Sun N Ski is better than this joint.
