I remember years ago when pf changs was the place go too for Chinese American food. Now instead of wasting an hour of your life to be seated, to be greeted, and to be served. Just go to pei wei it’s the same food for less, and it’s faster, cheaper, and super fresh . My food here was awful, it tasted like someone microwaved my honey chicken, soggy and blah. For $ 36 we got a small bowl of brown rice and some cold beef and chicken with broccoli. Sorry pf no hard feelings but things need to change at this location.

We waited about 10 minutes to be greeted by our waitress, and another 10 for our drinks. After that the service was fine and our waitress was very nice. But I expect to be greeted immediately upon sitting down, so this was frustrating. We did the 2 person meal combo for about $ 42 we got wonton soups, crab wontons, honey crispy shrimp, mongolian beef, and chocolate wonton dessert. The food did not disappoint. But the atmosphere was lacking. There were so many children!!!

My husband and I both eat in and do pick up from this location. The staff is very attentive and the food is consistently good. We typically sit at the bar and have had great customer service. Of course since we go there frequently… occasionally something goes a little wrong, but it is rare! Love love love the Combo Lo Mein!

Who doesn’t like PF Changs? for everyone that likes American Chinese cuisine this is a good place to go to. I personally enjoy coming here every once in while, whenever I’m craving Chinese food. I usually go with the chicken or shrimp Kung Pao and I’ve never been disappointing and I also love their fried rice. The service here is a hit or miss tho, depending on who you get; you’ll either get a great experience or you’ll be waiting for your waiter to come around for a while.

I get such excellent service here! The rewards program is phenomenal! I love to dine in or do curbside. They really cater to their customers.

Went by today. My wonton soup was cold. Server replace with hotter one. The manager Gerard C. Came by and apologize for that and was very polite. Service and food was great as always. Besides that issue. They did. Great job.

I think it’s this branch problem … first the place was around +/_20 full but still took them more than 23 minutes to serve us(2 ppl) and I was using my stop watch which I usually do in every restaurant. the food was SUPER sweet … and the portion was really small. although we took the regular(big) portion. we paid 42USD and the left with … it was a horrible experience to be honest and very expensive compared to the amount of food we got !!

My wife and I dined at this location on 12/10/2015 and I wish to register my disappointment with many things — we used to eat at P F Chang’s fairly often but due to family commitments we had been away for 6 months or more, and things have gone downhill badly in our absence. It used to be that P F Chang’s was a cut above the other American/Chinese chain restaurants — the nice quality chopsticks that were offered from a container by the hostess, above-average service and a clean convivial restaurant. Admittedly this was reflected in the prices, which were always noticeably more than the food was really worth, but we accepted that. That has now all gone — in this location at least the quality chopsticks have been replaced by cheap wooden disposable items in a glass on the table, the service was worse than hit and miss and the quality of the food was uninspiring to say the least, and some food that we ordered to go was simply not served to us at all — no word of apology, nothing. Plates and food arrived in a haphazard order that defied any logic; things were just tossed on the table. My wonton soup was interesting; I had to search for the wontons which were buried under a raft of uncooked button mushrooms and there were a few random lumps of overcooked chicken and 2 tiny shrimp marooned in the ‘stock’ that was passed off as broth. My Pina Colada was so bad that they removed it from our check, again without apology. In actual fact, even finding our waiter was difficult. We managed to talk to the ‘manager’(probably an assistant at best) and she simply listened and walked away, she did absolutely nothing. P F Chang’s has re-positioned itself somewhere below Pei Wei and very slightly above Panda Express, which is a LOT lower in the pecking order than it was earlier in the year. My personal guess is that some corporate bean counter has engaged in a cost-cutting exercise and this is the sorry result. Our money will be spent over in Bellaire at real Chinese restaurants in future.

I want to give PF Chang’s more stars, I really do, but the inattention to detail on our order is leading me to give them just two. My husband and I ordered food to-go last night, and the steamed shrimp dumplings were awesome. Highlight of the meal. The egg drop soup, while flavorful per usual(we love PF Chang’s as a dependable Chinese to-go spot), was lukewarm and a bit gloopy in consistency. My husband’s beef entrée of Mongolian Beef was pleasant, but mostly beef and very little scallion and garlic. It seemed like most of the garnish was an afterthought rather than a part of the dish as expected. I had the Buddha’s Feast, and was very disappointed. The asparagus was brown and all stalk, no delightful, tender tops, and there were no shitake mushrooms at all. NONE. That is the ONE reason I order that dish — for those succulent, meaty mushrooms that give the dish a wonderful umami flavor, and they were not present at all. We are definitely going to rethink rattling off PF Chang’s as our go-to Chinese spot in the future. Unless we are just ordering shrimp dumplings. ;) Cheers!

Food is excellent, I mean hands down. The crab wonton is to die for. However, the service will make feel like never returning. the server was unprofessional and never checked on me while I ate my appetizer. Told another server to «greet that,» as if I wasn’t a person… and to add salt to the wound, the manager acted as though I was overacting and said v that’s how servers talk. Wtf, I would probably never dine here again despite how good the food was!!! P. s. I’m writing this review while I’m still here so that alone says a lot…

Night of: Drinks were ordered 1st but never came until AFTER I finished my dinner. Waitress could never be found and it’s such a tiny place! Workers seem to just play around in the back. The food was plain as it gets. I could go to an Asian place closer and get bigger portions with taste for less $$$. During dinner the lights kept dimming and brightening back up like a 4yr old was playing with the switch.

I normally wouldn’t go to a chain, but when you’re hungry and stuck with a walking distance limit this’ll do. The food was as good as pf changs gets I guess. But the waitress seemed like she couldn’t be bothered. I felt I was respectful but she made me feel like I was a hassle. Didn’t even ask if I wanted a dessert or was done just plopped my check on my table.

The four stars are honestly just for the food and drinks we had at last night. The service on the other hand was more like two stars. The hostess was very awkward. We wanted a booth but said a table would be fine. Then she just walked off with out saying anything to us??? Then a manager saw us standing around confused and came to seat us just as the hostess was coming back. He told her to take us to a booth in a closed section and she hesitated and acted like she didn’t want to take us! It was really weird. Our waiter was friendly but dry. She clearly didn’t want to wait on us when we said we’d just be ordering a couple cocktails and appetizers. The Moscow Mules were delicious. They were garnished with candied ginger. The chicken lettuce wraps were great as always and the pork dumplings were yummy! So, despite the poor service, our overall experience was good.

It’s with sadness that I write this as PF Chang’s in the past has always delighted me. I’m hoping this was just a singular bad experience and will certainly give it another shot but bad enough I wanted to write a review. First things first. The staff. What an incredibly unhappy bunch. My visit was on a Friday afternoon for lunch which in my mind should have been cause for happiness. Not so here. Everyone seemed so down. Not a smile from the hostesses nor my server. Nobody… except what appeared to be the Manager. He was walking around and frankly, serving which I’m glad he was. He is the reason for the two stars at least. I never got a thank you from my server nor did he ever follow up on how my meal was. I have always recalled exceptional service from PF Chang’s in the past so this is a surprise. Now on to the food.. It’s a shame because in the past this has always been such a consistent and reliable dining spot! We started with the calamari which was way over cooked! Then I had the salt and pepper prawns… also over cooked and BLAND! Ugh. Our drinks went unrefilled until I asked for a refill. Dirty dishes left on the table until I got my bill and then of course as I stated, not even a thank you. Not a good experience overall. The two stars again was for the Manager and his willingness to jump in!

Tonight we tried the 3-course dinner for 2. I tend to skip the soup/salad part since the soup is normally tasteless water and I do salads occasionally. However the Egg-Drop and the Wonton Soup both were rather good. For the main entrée Combination Lomien and Ginger Beef w/Broccoli was ordered. This was just ok. Dessert at Asian food establish never need to be discuss. I wish most Asian food places would just hand out honey buns from the box. As this would be better than the pretty displayed, tasteless, things they serve.

If you are looking for a nice dining experience with Chinese food(and not the basic restaurant setup) This is one amazing Chinese fusion place in Houston! I visited the place for my girlfriend’s birthday and we had one of the best date dinners at P. F. Chang’s! Food: Very tasty vegetable spring rolls! We had a repeat order for the rolls just because 2 were not enough. The main course has a big portion and it was delicious. This place has the best Chinese food I have had in Houston(of course with exceptions of Chinatown authentics). Drinks: We had sake and a Mai Tai and both were delicious. Lastly the Dessert, as it came to our delight, they served us the best dessert in a long time and it was on the house for the birthday! I’m going there just to have the Wanton desert served with delicious ice-cream. Service: Our server was amazing and he gave a very amazing treatment to us throughout the night. Manager of the place also stopped by to ask if everything was okay. I think for the courteousness and the amazing food, PF Chang’s deserves a full 5-star rating!

What has happened to P.F. Chang’s??? This place used to be pretty darned good, but last night’s experience was an absolute disaster. From being greeted by a hostess who apparently had poured an entire bottle of perfume on herself to seating us under an air conditioning vent that required us to either wear a parka when the a/c was on, or strip to t-shirts when it was off, we were off to a rather inauspicious beginning. Our waiter(and I use the term purposely because that’s what WE did – wait and wait) took about 10 minutes to even find us. By the time he did, we had decided what we wanted, but all he allowed us to order was hot tea for my wife and iced tea for me, and then he quickly disappeared. 10 minutes later he reappeared with my iced tea, saying they had to boil water for her hot tea, as their normal hot tea making equipment was broken. WTF??? Now comes the good part. We ordered several dishes, telling him which order we wanted them in. Another 15 minutes passed, and the dishes we had specified as second show up at the table, while the first dish hadn’t arrived. We temporarily overlook this. Roughly another 15 minutes pass, and my final course arrived, but my wife’s still had not. I mentioned this to the busboy(who apparently doesn’t speak very good English), and he attempted to take away my dish. I stopped him, and proceeded to begin eating, at which point our«server» finally reappeared, and realized that we have missed several dishes. He went to the kitchen, came back with some lame excuse that the kitchen had packed them as a to-go order. In the restaurant’s defense, the manager got right on top of things, comping three of our dishes plus giving us a certificate for a free order of Chicken Lettuce Wraps(which were served without the sauce) on our next visit. Otherwise, this definitely would be a one-star rating. As to the food, here’s what we had and how we’d rate the dishes: Pan-fried dumplings 2⁄5 Fried crab wontons 3⁄5 Tuna tataki 2⁄5 Chicken lettuce wraps 1⁄5 Edamame(plain) 4⁄5 Chicken Pad Thai 3⁄5 Our server seemed to almost ignore us after taking our order, but the manager was great. I’ll leave it to my wife to collect on the free lettuce wraps, as I think I’ll stick with little sister Pei Wei.

One of the best PF Changs. Awesome service and food never fails to wow you. My favorite is almond and cashew chicken. I always get it.

I came here for a friend’s birthday dinner and was excited to try it for the first time, seeing that it’s more of an upscale Chinese-Americanized restaurant and somewhat popular. Because of my Asian background, I was interested to see how similar and good the food would be to the authentic taste. Sadly, I was disappointed. I ordered the chicken pad Thai because it was a «customer favorite» on the menu, but it was not good. The noodles were very slimy almost mushy-wet, as if the chef didn’t strain them long enough after boiling or maybe the sauce was just too watery. There wasn’t much zest or flavor nor spice to it either. Usually, pad Thai is supposed to be flavorful with a bold, sweet and spicy kick with a zest of lemon squeezed into it and an added crunch of peanuts and bean sprouts. However, this dish was lacking most, if not all of those. I wouldn’t ever come back again. Do yourself a favor and spend your money elsewhere authentic in Chinatown if you want Chinese food. Come here if you want to pay a good amount for fake Americanized Asian food. Better off saving money and getting a box from Panda Express!
