Located directly left of the Dollar General in Nassau Bay, this place is small and has been open for quite some time which is why I’m amazed as I why I haven’t ever been here! They sell mostly women’s clothing but it is good quality items with no weird stains or holes and usually name brand. They also have two small racks of clothes for the«little ones» where I found some cute Gap, Gymboree and Children’s Place outfits for my nieces. They also sell a small amount of kids shoes, belts and very old-fashioned hats. I also found some decent 80’s style jewelry in the display case, a few VHS tapes, dishes and relatively clean and working toys for the kiddos. The owners were very sweet and I enjoyed talking to them while they were ringing me up. Cash or check only so run to the CVS beforehand and use the ATM or do 20 $ cash back because the Dollar General does not have an ATM.

The Nearly New shop is relatively small, but full of surprises. It’s constantly getting in new items to the point that most of its customers are weekly, if not daily shoppers looking for treasures. The prices are unbelievable, most things are well under $ 10, with some clothing items under $ 5. The Nearly New ladies(volunteers from St. Thomas Episcopal church) are very diligent in making sure the items they put out are in mint, or near mint condition. You won’t find anything with holes, stains, missing accessories, etc. In fact, they don’t take electronics as to be sure not to sell a broken item to its clients. Many of the items still have the original tag on there, must have simply been a gift ill received or forgotten in the back of the closet. The Nearly New takes consignments(Tuesdays and Fridays, I think) for items sold at $ 4 or more. My wife consigned a few items of clothing no longer needed, and before you knew it, some checks were flowing in with no effort(the shop tracks all the business side of things). The hours are morning to mid-afternoon most days of the week(except Sunday and Monday). The proceeds from the store go strictly to the local charities as sponsored by the church. It’s not the easiest place to spot, in the Nassau Bay shopping center across from the Post Office, look for the crowd of cars parked out front!
