This place was ok and I would go back if looking for a cheap place. If you get a burger make sure you add bacon for a better burger. The fries were perfect and the country gravy was very delicious. I hear the breakfast is good as well. Might try next. If in the area and looking for something fast and inexpensive, try this place.

I’ve been eating here since I was a child. The food is great! Love their burgers and breakfast food too!

I’ve always enjoyed Mytiburger in Spring Branch! The thing I hate is that they don’t have a way that you could leave a tip on your receipt! I almost never carry cash so I’d like to leave a tip because I usually receive great service at Mytiburger…

I swung by for dinner earlier this week. I have eaten here before but it’s been a few years and I don’t frequent this area often. I ordered their ½ lb. burger with fries and a soft drink. It was a slow night as there were only 4 other diners in the restaurant. The food came out about 10 minutes later. The burger was big, dressed well and a solid eat. The ½ lb. of meat consisted of two ¼ lb. patties. I liked the sandwich and rated it as a 3.5. The fries however disappointed me as they were your basic non descript French fry that was boring and unfortunately is found at so many restaurants(2). Getting on my soap box for a minute I don’t understand why so many restaurants like this that have french fries as such an important part of the menu don’t put a little more time and effort into serving better fries… hand cut, double fried, skin on fries, etc. there are too many hamburger, po boy, fried fish, etc. restaurants that serve fries with the meal that skimp on the quality of fries. To me it is a very important part of the meal. Ok, one minute has passed… I understand that Mytiburger is somewhat of a Houston institution. Like I said my burger was good and I would order it again. It looks like breakfast is popular here also. Another observation I had was that while this restaurant is old and a little worn, it is kept clean. The cashier who took my order was diligently cleaning in her off time which impressed me.

Nestled in amongst the taqueria’s, auto supply stores, Mexican marts, and apartments is this little unassuming local burger joint that is still locally and family operated. When Mytiburger first arrived in Houston, neighborhood diners were the standard; as time has passed, so has the tradition of the neighborhood burger joint. Mytiburger is still a little slice of «blast from the past» Houston history by continuing this tradition of a neighborhood diner that offers up more than just burgers No drive thru here since this is a neighborhood spot that encourages people to come in, even if you’re getting your food to go. The wait isn’t much longer than a drive thru considering most fast food places have long wait lines. The difference is that by walking into Mytiburger, you’ll get something you won’t find in a drive thru: the personal touch of human interaction. There’s plenty of parking here with the oversized parking lot. Just be mindful where and how you park since most of the paint has been long ago worn off by Mother Nature and the owner of the shopping center hasn’t bothered to repaint them. The owner also hasn’t bothered to fill the numerous pot holes, so be mindful about where you’re driving. Once inside, the restaurant is much larger than what it looks like from the outside with a very expansive dining area complete with mostly booth tables that line the windows. The avocado green will remind you of how old the place is, but the cleanliness of everything from the floors, to the counters, and even the tables will make you feel like you’ve been transported back to another era. The rust brown tile floors even look like they’re from the original restaurant. I’ve never seen a restaurant keep their place as clean as Mytiburger does. Even the order counter is wiped down and free of debris where they take orders and serve them. This spoke volumes to me on my very first trip when I was observant to how clean it was in here. Every visit back I kept waiting to find something dirty about this place, although they continued to keep up the excellent cleaning job, so high marks to them for the cleanliness factor. Their staff is super friendly and very welcoming, which make you feel more like a valued customer and less like just another order number. Mytiburger tastes a lot like Whataburger, without the sticky tables and long drive thru lines; the burger may taste similar, but the quality of the rest of the food, cleanliness of the restaurant, and friendliness of the staff set Mytiburger apart from their competitors. I’m a big fan of their burgers because it does taste so much like Whataburger, but I can get seasoned curly fries with my burger… something Whataburger doesn’t offer. Their onion rings are hand battered and so tasty! It’s not that I’m not adventurous to try their other menu items; it’s just that anytime I think about Mytiburger, I can’t resist having a Mytiburger with curly fries. Even if a burger isn’t your thing, they have a lot more on their menu to offer up like chicken sandwiches, salads, burritos, tacos, and even breakfast items. This is probably an unlikely place for anyone to stop if you don’t live in the area, but Mytiburger is worth a try for anyone looking for a decent«fast food» burger. The taste of the food might not be for everyone, but I promise that you won’t regret stopping in here for a bite to eat simply for the customer service and cleanliness.

Their biscuits and gravy is reasonably priced, very fulfilling, and actually decently prepared. Sure you could find this at Denny’s for $ 2 with eggs But the quality isn’t that great. Here you can get it for $ 5 with sausage and it tastes like actual breakfast!

Ordered the Chicken Fried Steak today. Texas Toast. And French Fries. And coffee. This dish from Mytiburger was simply terrible. The Texas Toast had an odd goo texture in the middle and hinted of seafood? I couldn’t eat it. The CFS was thin and was obviously from a pre-packaged frozen set. The gravy on top was twice as thick as the meat. To the extent there was meat in there. The fries were simply terrible. 3x the amount of salt I could stand. There is no excuse on Earth for this low quality of dish. The«chef» should lose the right to reside in Texas. How a person claims to own or operate a restaurant in Texas serving this crap is beyond me. What they did better than other stuff: the coffee was good and person taking my order was friendly. My table only had two scraps of food on it from the previous person. There is unlimited ketchup available. Perhaps someone in management should sample the food and take corrective action to avoid future instances of serving the disgusting inexcusable low quality CFS I had there today. They cook breakfast well. And it’s cheap. But that CFS was plumb TERRIBLE!!!

Don’t let the exerior scare you off because the food is worth it! We ordered fries, a bacon cheeseburger and the quarter pound burger. Excellent. Waaaaay better than fast food and better than most of the $ 20 «gourmet burgers» you find at every single gastro pub these days. A lot of people praise Lankford Grocery for their burgers but these put a chokehold on those burgers plus the cost for two burgers and fries is less than Lankford. The meat is good quality definitely not a frozen patty and the fries are crispy on the outside and pillowy on the inside. Bonus: Fast and friendly service.

This place is dominated by an elderly crowd. But is not that bad for basic bfast food. A true small time diner that gets good business and fairly loyal customer base.

Better than average fast food spot that doubles as a family restaurant. Had a MytiBreakfast: two eggs any way you want it, bacon sausage or ham, hash browns or grits, and toast or buiscuit. A great value. And coffee was good too!

Better than all the regular fast food restaurants. Very fresh ingredients for a low price. The Mytiburger special combo is less than 6 dollars!

Was a little skeptical at first, but after trying their burger for the first time, I was hooked! The burgers taste just like Whataburger, if not better! Not much in terms of ambiance, but the service is good and the food is an outstanding value. Also had a chance to try the steak finger basket last week and it too, was excellent. Also kinda reminded me of the old Grandy’s chains that were so good– wish they had them in Houston still!

The sign says they’ve been in business since 1972… so Mytiburger’s got something. Hot, deliciously salty fries. Fresh out of the fryer, so hot I couldn’t eat them right away although I desperately wanted to! The fries were the highlight of my meal. Crispy outside, soft in the center, salted to perfection and I got just the right amount. Not a one was bendy and soggy. I’ve never gone on about fries like this before, I am so ashamed. The burger was a step above a Whataburger. It was fresh, also very hot and I had to wait for it to cool down. They ran out of buns for my junior burger so the counter guy came to my table to ask me if I minded if I got a larger wheat bun — no big deal at all. I just tore off the extra bread, I don’t need all that anyway. I appreciated them asking me instead of surprising me with a bun that was an inch too big all the way around. That would’ve been weird and if not for them giving me a heads up, I would have probably reviewed how unnecessarily huge the bun was. Credit! I ordered a Junior Mytiburger and it came exactly how I ordered it. It would be better with more cheese though. They put a good amount of mustard pickles and onions on it. MMMMM. My husband ordered a patty melt and he thought it was a little chintzy. It did look small compared to the other PM’s he’s ordered thru the years. They have a breakfast which I am dying to try. 2 eggs, 2 pancakes, 2 bacon for $ 3.79. Very ordinary on the inside, booths(very narrow space between your body and the table so big dudes and dudettes won’t fit in there). Oh, just so you know it’s not me that wouldn’t fit, it was my 6’2″ sweetheart that we would have had to pry out of there. Tables and floors were clean, bathrooms were alright too.

Pretty good burgers here! Not much in the way of atmosphere or décor, but it serves its purpose.

Decent. I’ve been here twice in 6 months — only because it’s in the neighborhood. I wouldn’t drive across town for it. The Houston burger scene is too competitive, and this pace doesn’t really set themselves apart in any way. Mytiburger meets basic expectations. Oh, and the fry portion is kinda skimpy so order extra.

If you want fresh hot food right when you order it, then this is your place of choice. I ordered a myti burger and fries and i got the burger«all the way“which consisted of tangy mustard, onions, salty pickles, fluffy lettuce and tomatoes. what i tasted upon the first three bites were too much of a tangy taste and i needed some mayo. The meat wasnt as good as mcdonalds but it got the job done! The fries were good with ketchup to compliment them and the hi-c fruit punch was delicious. I will definitely go back and build my sandwhich the way i like it!

I had #1 with bacon, cheese, and jalapeño’s. That was a great choice… the patty seemed small, but since it was covered with melted cheese and some amazing bacon, I wad certainly satisfied. The veggies were fresh and the peppers were a bit on the mild side. All in all I will definitely be back and try the rings! Dang why didn’t i think of that today!

With a name Mytiburger we thought for sure this place had to have some off the chain burgers… our tummy’s said oh yeah feed me more! Definitely not pricey and you enjoy every bite. Even the breakfast is cheap and looks like they serve you a lot! I’ll be doing breakfast here for sure one day! Oh and of course i will be partaking in some of their burgers again very soon!
