I like the food at mikes seafood… the prices are reasonable… the michaeladas, oyster and crawfish are solid… there are several negatives, such as the area is shady, and the décor is gloomy.

The food here is great, perfect even! We always get the crab legs and they’re so yummy and spicy. But for the love of God this place NEEDS TO REORGANIZE THEIR ORDER/​PAY/​PICKUP AREA. probably one of the most chaotic places I have ever eaten at. It’s a little gross too, always crowded which I know is good because that means the food is good. But you’re always awkwardly standing in line waiting to order and pay while hovering over other tables who are already eating because there is no other place for the line to go. The food is amazing and I will always recommend mikes for the food… but it is so crazy and crowded and awkward and unorganized. So just beware everyone!

This place is chaotic most of the time. It’s too small for the capacity of people they try to serve daily. I usually call in to place my order before I get there so I won’t have to deal with waiting around. Although, I still end up waiting just to get to the counter to pick up my order. It’s hard to find seat for a group if you want to eat in. Everything I’ve eaten from here is pretty well seasoned and flavorful. Is it was more organized with better seating it would get at least 4 stars.

No vacancies at any table, line from the registers out the door, Mike’s Seafood don’t care about your bad reviews and low ratings!!! With that being said, can’t go wrong with the fried catfish platter, always delicious. They’re packed on a Tuesday evening, imagine how hectic it gets Friday-​Sunday, I’m not so brave.

We’ve been coming to Mike’s Seafood almost every other week for over 10 years. We used to buy food from his truck before he opened «Fresh Catch.» In addition to the great seafood he picks up fresh from Louisiana, many don’t know that they have one of the biggest and best CHEESEBURGERS in the area! The price is also right.

I would give it 5 stars, but the cleanliness is the issue. I’ve been going here for years, since it was called Fresh Catch. The food is great, and I’m from Opelousas, La… I just wish they would keep up with the cleaning of seating area and restrooms. It gets so busy, so I’m sure that has something to do with it. But more help for keeping it clean would put this place in my 5 star list!

Great fried seafood that you can order with a side of delicious steak-​cut fries or rice. Food comes out piping hot and does take awhile since it doesn’t get made til you order it. The prices also make this place a great bargain as well. I’d eat here a lot more often if it was closer to home. I’ve not had their crawfish since they renamed the store to this («Fresh Catch» previously), but it was really good then as well. I think they also let you buy live crawfish so that you could cook it yourself at home?

Their grand opening was great. After awhile of booming business the crawfish began to become overcooked and soggy. Wait times can be up to 40 min.

This is my go to place for snow crabs and crawfish. I’ve been eating here for over two years now and I will always be a returning customer. The staff are always super friendly and they know exactly what I want lol. Give them a try… trust me, you won’t be disappointed. I love the «mild garlic»

Tilapia tasted fishy not seasoned just fishy. My son refused to eat it. Dogs got to eat it.

Was referred to Mikes Seafood by a good friend that raved about their snow crabs. I went on this past Saturday and ordered the spicy garlic snow crabs and I was amazed at how many clusters you get for only $ 11.99. They were perfectly seasoned through and through. Two people can enjoy on that one order. I will be going back very soon.

Love getting snow crab/​crawfish (I ask for hot as hell) + corn and potato. They never skimp on garlic. I also like the egg rolls and boudin balls. Drinks are very cheap too.
Mike is not only a great restaurant owner, but a warrior as well. The guy is a 40+ year old restaurant owner who kicks ass in MMA. Great guy.

I walked into this place (where I have had really good burgers in the past) and I see a cockroach walking on the table. I was hungry to I tried another table and I find a dead fly on the Tabasco bottle.
This place was really dirty today. First time I’ve been disappointed. Needless to say I didn’t eat and walked out.

I definitely recommend this place. The crawfish here is awesome, great sized and cheap. I always get it mild because I can’t handle the spicy here. I usually get the food to go, but every once in awhile me and some friends will meet up and eat here. Although the place is usually packed, I never have to wait long for my food. And the staff is always really nice.
Other food favorites are the blue crabs, fried shrimp, and French fries.

I ordered my food to-​go so I can’t speak for the wait staff but as far as wait time and overall quality of the food it was great! I went in on a Saturday night it was busy as to be expected but I didn’t wait more than 20 minutes for my order. I also did not call it in which I will do next time. But for ordering and waiting 20 minutes thats exceptional. I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived home to see the portion sizes. They are right on the money! The boudain balls are amazing!!! And the gumbo is fannnnntastic. Catfish seriously made me feel like any other catfish I’ve eaten is inferior!!! Mike you are doing a great job serving a great product! Keep up the good work!

Crappy service
Hate that they don’t have a PA system to announce orders. It’s just so inconvenient and impractical to yell it out when it is so loud with guests/​customers.
Also, the girl who took our order had a horrible attitude and was extremely rude.
