I have been going to McGovern Allergy Clinic for several years. I used to suffer from frequent headaches and flu like symtoms due to my allergies. I no longer have those symptoms and feel great. Dr. Thorne is my doctor and he is top notch. He is very thorough and takes his time when he is with you. I go for weekly shots but there is a once a month option available if you have time to wait 30 minutes after your injection each month. They are also open on Saturday’s until noon! Everyone that works there is friendly and knowledgeable. There is a reason that people literally come from all over the world for their allergy and asthma treatment at McGovern! I highly recommend them!

My mother is a patient and I see that there is always different staff who helps my mom in the back office. The ladies on the front are very nice professional. I feel like the medical assistant’s in the back need some retaining when it comes to giving injections. Her injections are the same but in different locations on her arm.

I’m very happy that I went to this clinic to find out why I keep on getting cough during certain times of the year. I had allergy testing and found out that I am allergic to several trees and some pets. I also did a breathing test that confirmed my problem. Dr Gavino was very accommodating and he thoroughly explained what my allergies are, how I can avoid them, and what medications I needed to be on. The nurse who did my testing, Xenia, was very friendly too! I highly recommend this place!

After doing the allergy test, I needed to get shots to make them go away for a long time. I was going weekly and was going out of the country and they upped my dosage till I could do once a month for my trip. They are professional and great. They are semiafforable for a student. insurance does take care of it, but outta pocket isn’t too expensive.

This was my first time taking an allergy test. It was sooooooo worth the money! I did have an bad allergic reaction but it was needed so the doctors could know what I was allergic too. The Dr. was so nice and really knew what they were talking about. I am on allergy medicine currently and I haven’t had any allergy flares since i left this place. So YES i recommend and I think it is worth the money :)
I would post pics but uuhhhhh lol i looked like the hulk! my arms were so swollen YIKES! it hurt and itched for about 3 to 5 days… worst itching omg… im pretty much allergic to life lol but its cool the medicine works :)
The doctor gives you a detailed list of everything your allergic to and prevention advice.
