Impressive in scope and quality. The gallery space is large, and the works are diverse. I was particularly impressed with the installation in the rear of the gallery. It was clearly not meant for purchase, as it incorporated the space, music, video, and audience participation(sort of), which made it all the more impressive that a gallery would feature it. Moreover, the people I spoke with who worked there were knowledgeable and passionate about each piece! It honestly felt more like a contemporary art museum, and I loved every minute of my visit.

This gallery was OK, the curator kept staring at us and it was getting really annoying. The pieces inside were ok, but the best part about this place is actually the stuff outside. They had a piece out front that was very intriguing. And there are some sculptures in between this gallery and Sicardi that is worth taking a look at too.

Situated next to Sicardi Gallery, these two establishments make quite the pair as neighbors. A valet situation occurs here on opening night, which adds to the hustle and bustle of the evening. I’m usually against crowds(because they have the tendency to stand in front of the art getting schnockered – making it difficult to see it), but opening night here on a good night can be quite exciting. Almost feels Hollywood like. McClain is spacious and always immaculately set in the way it curates its shows. The artwork that it showcases is high end and almost always pretty interesting.
