I read some bad comments on the web about Maryam’s Café. Although my friend told me that I have to check it out myself, because it’s his favorite place. I recently met to girl and we wanted to spend a good evening together. I had some doubts about go or not there. But as things turned out it was in vain. There is really nice atmosphere and very pleasant staff. As to mine that I was satisfied with their dishes and price. There is an excellent breakfast plate, it have not only good tasting and size, but very nice appearance. I think to come back and will try something else.

We will never visit this place again… yesterday We waited more than 45 mins for a poached egg & a BLT… We asked for a refund that was refused… The person at the till was the rudest person I have ever met… save your time & money… Go elsewhere

Great coffee and juices. Texas omelet was tasty. Very generous with the fruit. Little pricey but overall still 4 stars!

I came here originally for the kids’ play area. The place is cute and I like the idea but it really needs some work. Most of the toys in the play area are broken… and there is an open outlet in the middle of the toys right within a child’s reach. If you’re going to have a play place for kids and all sorts of objects that could easily fit in an outlet, I would at least cover the outlet. There are also stuffed animals hanging up high I guess to decorate the area. They scare my daughter and are covered with dust. There is a cd playing kids’ music but we have been there 3 times and every time it keeps skipping. There were dead bugs in the play sink. The food is okay but not worth the price. I get the chicken almond salad sandwich — which is good but that with my husband’s sandwich, the kids’ grilled cheese(which my daughter didn’t like), and drinks runs about $ 50. The water also had an odd taste. Their smoothies and juices are good, and I like that it is dog-friendly. It’s unfortunate because I really want to like the place. I think the front looks cute, and as a sandwich-lover, I love the options. But because of the price and the fact that it just doesn’t look clean, I don’t think we will be back.

Really good homemade ice cream. Also, in the back of the restaurant there are additional tables and a play area for the kids. Great place to take a break from shopping on 19th.

Pure perfection on a plate. I’m already planning my return trip. Delicious desserts, smooth and rich coffees, fresh organic fruits, soft French music playing, and casual atmosphere all offset by truly royal seating. All I can say is pure perfection!

Dang it! Iwant to really llike this place but I felt ripped off today. Ordered the kids cheese quesadilla & it looked do messy and realky greasy! Yuck! My kid didnt even touch it… Also ordered the cranberry spinach salad. I thought there would be a little more effort put into it for something thats close to 11 bucks it but its literally exactly what its called… spinach with a crap load of cranberries thrown in there. Way too many cranberries & the ranch dressing was def the wrong taste for this salad! Only pro from this visit was the chips and ranch that came with the order. O yea and my lemonade. ** Add more to the kids menu. Pizza, nuggets, noodles **Put more effort into the food if you want to keep the same prices.

Pros: There’s a small play area for children in the back, and they served a large portion of sliced fruit with their breakfast entrees. Cons: Slow, unfriendly service. Way overpriced. The food was mediocre, nothing was mind-blowing or memorable. I wanted to order a dessert, but everything on display looked old and stale, so I passed. Do not order the poached eggs or red velvet waffle

Maryam’s is consistently getting better. They have pork bacon now! The portion sizes are huge(especially the fruit that comes with the breakfast plates). The juice is a touch over priced but the food is the real star anyway. The omlets are unique in that they cut all the ingredients up really small — very tasty. Oh, and at least right now, the french acordian music isn’t on a loop so its safe to sit inside.

I love their juices. They have a good breakfast with friendly counter service. My wife and I usually stop by when we are shopping in the Heights neighborhood. A must go.

The prices are relatively expensive for the drinks, but a basic breakfast is loaded with all sorts of fresh fruit. Pleasing environment. Would come back for lunch or dinner.

Had the chicken panini and the chicken wrap. The chicken panini was more of a hot sandwich, nothing too special. The chicken wrap wasn’t very tightly wrap and was falling all over the place. The wrap tasted ok as a whole but the chicken was pretty tasteless. Both dishes were edible but not worth $ 10 in my opinion. I was also thrown off by the fact that both dishes came with 2 kinds of chips, I think 1 would have been plenty. The atmosphere is pretty electric but there is way too much going on. I’d like to give the desserts and probably coffees a try next time but the food is no no for me.

Excellent home made food. It’s pricey but it’s worth every penny. The décor inside creates an upscale feeling that is exceptionally supported by the quality of the food, or should it be the other way around? :) Seriously, I recommend trying this place if you are going for breakfast/brunch in The Heights area.

Way too pricy for what it is; a glass of orange juice is $ 6! The food is just decent and kind of random. They don’t serve regular coffee(only americano), although they have a multitude of coffee décor and signs on walls raving about the goodness of coffee. Significantly better options in Heights at this price point.

FINALLY!!! I’ve found a delicious and wholesome vegetarian restaurant near work! The décor is Pinterest-esque, with a hint of small mom-and-pop store charm. This can be seen through the eclectic and multi-colored furniture, as well as the cute signs adorning the walls. In the back, there is a children’s play area, which is EXCELLENT because not many restaurants incorporate a way to engage young minds and give the parents a little break! In case you’re wondering, it was not overly noisy because there is a partial wall that makes a cozy nook for the play area. The menu features a wide variety of foods, from salads to sandwiches to soups to juices/smoothies to homemade ice cream. Naturally, I drooled at the sparkling array of pastries, but opted to be healthy for my first visit. I ordered the Panini Vegetarian Sandwich, and it was delicious! the food comes with corn chips, potato chips, and a small salad. I will DEFINITELY be coming back here again with its wide variety, bright atmosphere, easy parking(even during weekday lunch hours), friendliness of the host, and yummy food! Now I’m just hoping to find more tasty vegetarian/vegan options(:

Such delicious food and amazing portions. I was there on a weekday morning for breakfast with a friend. I ordered Maryam’s Brunch plate. Scrambled eggs, black beans, a croissant, and fruit. So delicious. My dear friend had the Belgian waffle with fruit and it was also delicious. We also had the white chocolate mocha and that was AMAZING!!! Seriously do yourself a favor and thank me later. And because we are major fatties we also got an orange juice that was divine! This place will NOT disappoint.

If you have a small child/children, this place is a godsend. They have a rad play area in the back complete with disco lights and nursery songs. I was able to enjoy coffee and breakfast while my son played without worrying about the things that usually come with bringing a 2 year old to an eating establishment. The food is good, the owner is unbelievably nice, and it’s a relaxing space for parents and kids.

If you’ve been looking for a place to have a game night and listen to the best of the 80’s and 90’s on the flute, then this is the place for you. Their collection is impressive. We played a leisurely game scrabble after brunch and there was no end. Richard Marx to Richie Valens. I mean the flute never gets the crescendo, and here it is king. Other than that, my senses are really confused, by the vibe, by the décor, and by the food presentation. Staff is kind. UPDATE: Hours of pop flute music seems to interfere with brain function. We can’t seem to finish the scrabble game. Send help.
