LIK HOUSTON – Peter Lik Fine Art Photography

Beautiful pictures, sadly the salesman was a pompous ass. Just because we currently cannot afford these, does not mean we don’t deserve the respect of having our few questions answered.

I happened to pass this place while strolling around in the Galleria. I saw some amazing photographs that after closer inspection I realized were Lik’s work. After realizing this I decided to go in the Gallery.
This Gallery is amazing. The photos are huge. The design of the Gallery really highlights his work. It’s like a mini museum.
I would say the Lik Gallery itself is worth a trip to the Galleria. If you find yourself in the Galleria do yourself a favor and check it out.

I’ve been a big fan of Peter Lik for many years. He is an amazing landscape photographer who has captured many images of my favorite Hawaiian islands among other American locales. From my travels in Hawaii, I became very familiar with his work and style. I’ve visited many of his galleries in both Hawaii, Nevada, and California.
I’m extremely pleased that Houston now has a Lik Gallery. This is an honor for this city. His gallery is located in the former DIOR spot at the Houston Galleria. It’s a beautiful space. I stopped in this past Saturday and found the staff to be helpful and pleasant. It’s a dark and beautiful room and Lik’s pieces are an explosion of color in the space.
Stop by and see for yourself some of his artwork. I do not own a piece myself but maybe one day. As of now, I collect his art books. Next, I’ll be moving up to the Element Packs. A great way to get introduced to his pieces without breaking the bank.
