Considering this being the closest food own. I’d shop here sometimes not all the time. Foodarama is where it’s at. Sometimes it gets too crowded and ghetto. It’s ok. Wish they had a convenience Bank inside. Fruit and veggies aren’t as fresh either.

Great prices on groceries, very busy because of low prices and location, however the variety in store is better than Joe V’s but less than Kroger’s.

Finally getting around to reviewing this store after browsing a few other reviews and *gasp* didn’t realize that it was that dirty. Every time I have been in there the isles have seemingly been swept and maintained to a normal comfortable standard as compared to Davis Food City where I used to work about 5 miles down the road in the 80’s. The isles are mediocre spacious and there is a good variety here. Do any of you old coots remember when this was Big Texan Lanes? Ahhh the memories and reminiscing of me throwing the ball down isle 6 and 7… er I mean lane 6 and 7 then us walking over to WhataBurger for a double meat… eww off topic, sorry. Just giving you the imagination of how big it is inside as if you can fit a bowling ally in here, then most likely you have a 17 plus isle grocery store that offers cheap prices than you can get on average from your Randall’s, Krogers and Fiesta. Am I comparing apples to oranges? Not really, you don’t need a «member value plastic let me track what you are buying» card like the first two do. Remember about two decades ago when H.E.B used to be the store to go to because it was in my opinion always the cleanest of the cheapy grocery stores? Well here you have it, just a almost in a different name. There are a few video games here so you can have your kids entertained for a little bit so you don’t have to worry about things being thrown in your shopping cart that you do not really want in your house or for them to consume. I remember a booth here, I can imagine you can pay certain bills here, maybe a «western union» type money sending business and I’m pretty sure they might have money orders if needed. Parking…ok now that is nasty. Shared with a very large parking lot but it is needed because on the weekends right after EBT, lone star cards get loaded you will find yourself booty bumping your fellow shoppers jockying to get to the next isle when a lane opens up since everybody likes to block isles with their carts. Do yourself a favor, if you have a decent car and don’t want it dinged, park it about 50 yards away by the Whata burger and you should be ok, just make sure you take all your precious belongings in with you or you might not have them when you get back.

Great selection and sales prices on meat as always! Service is quick. Had a question about a product I thought was on sale. Young lady or manager was right there visible in the front of the store, checked the item immediately, and found out what price it was. When I decided i did not want it, she immediately went to a register and gave me a refund. Love that!
