Never been disappointed here. Very nice interior design with very fast service. I once ordered a drink, sat down for about two minutes and they already called me for my order. Talk about fast! Only small problem I have about this place is that their drinks menu is rather limited. I always order Oreo milk tea and a lot of my friends seem to like it. Definitely try this place out!

I was a regular at Kung Fu tea in NYC and since there’s none in SoCal I decided to stop by one here. I got a large chai milk with bubbles, less ice & less sugar. I was surprised that it wasn’t cheaper than NYC. Even though the bubbles were yummy, I don’t know if it’s worth $ 6 in Houston. However, if you’re craving bubble tea, I would recommend coming here.

Quick service as always. The drinks are good, ive been here many times and tried the regular kf milk tea, oreo, almond, coffee milk tea, grapefruit yogurt, honey green tea, matcha… Different times but the drinks always taste the same. It wasnt sweet one time and then much less another, taste is consistent. Even though this place is always packed, it seems like it takes longer for you to move up in a line than actually getting a drink. They make it fast! Good thing they had 2 sizes available so its easy to try different ones in 1 visit. Kftea rocks!

No complaints here besides the long wait for one drink sometimes and the credit minimum. Other than that I love this place & all of their teas. Their boba is way different from Boba Zone, Kravin’, and Kim’s. The tapioca is super easy to chew and I don’t get tired of it. From the black tea to the green tea they have their own taste to it and it’s more authentic, so it’s not your typical milk tea.

I ordered the Taro Milk Tea — I usually don’t care for any kind of milk tea, but this one I like. It was on the sweet side. I didn’t know that you could choose the sweetness level. This is only my second time trying this tapioca/tea place. The minimum for credit/debit cards is $ 10. So like most places in China Town, it’s better to bring cash. It ended up more than $ 5 dollars for a cup of taro milk tea with tapioca. I didn’t have cash so I ended up buying two of them(one to bring home to the little brother) rather than paying a service charge. It’s nice to share. However I probably won’t be driving all the way down to China Town just for Kung Fu Tea. Maybe if I was in the area and other people wanted try it, I wouldn’t mind stopping in again.

$ 5 for a bubble tea? In Houston Chinatown? L. O. L. But, you know what, Kung Fu serves some pretty tasty drinks. I came with friends at about 8pm on a Saturday, and it was HELLA busy. I was actually surprised at how long the line was, considering there’s literally another bubble tea shop next door that looked positively forlorn compared to the poppin’ Kung Fu. Turns out, Kung Fu is actually a national chain! No wonder why their prices are ridiculous! But hey, I’m here, so I might as well give it a try. I ordered the Red Bean Wow Milk, which include tapioca and red bean as sinkers. Like I said, the drink itself tastes really good, and the tapioca had a great chew to them. I was surprised to find myself thinking the tapioca and red bean were sweeter than the milk itself, though. Main issue: the sinkers were mostly blocked by ice at the end. I treat the sinkers like a little snack after finishing your drink, but I just gave up and left the clump of red beans and pearls to waste after I did my best to suck them all up to no avail. While I actually enjoyed the Wow Milk, I can’t really find myself ever coming out of my way to: 1) Deal with Dun Huang Plaza parking 2) Pay $ 5.36 for a bubble tea/milk/WHATEVER (PS… $ 10 credit card minimum)

I have to give this place a one star, not for their tea(which is decent) but the service is Ridiculously HORRIBLE! I ordered KF milk black tea and was given black tea. The girl who took my order argues I never said milk tea. I have only been addicted to milk tea for the last 10 yrs! I couldn’t really understand her but she said«next time you say milk better.» She charged me $ 1 extra for all the drinks she got wrong. Further, you can pay with a credit card but«I have to charge you extra $.50 for your order.» No Thanks Ku Fu tea girl, there won’t be a next time!

The Taro Milk Green Tea(half sweet) was amazing! I love taro, but I’ve never tried taro mixed with green tea. It was surprisingly delicious! The boba is perfect. Not too hard, and not over cooked or mushy. This place(like every other place in Chinatown) was packed on Sat night, but when you finally got to the front of the line, service was quick and efficient. It’s a little inconvenient that the credit card minimum is $ 10(you can use credit card if you pay an extra 50 cents), but that’s pretty much what happens everywhere in Chinatown, so just make sure to bring cash! If only Kung Fu Tea had a location in my city, this would be the only place I get boba!

3.5÷5 stars, and here’s why: [AMBIANCE] People are always hanging out here. During the week in the daytime(or even at night), you’ll see people doing work, as they have free wifi and options to sit at large tables, but it’s mainly a super popular spot to hang out. There are a couple of TV’s, the lighting’s on the darker side, and there’s like a weird draft. The temperature next to the door is uncomfortably cold but also normal at the same time? I wasn’t the only one who feels this way. The seating options vary from high tables that sit 2 – 4 people, long tables that can fit up to around 10, a couch area and other free standing tables at a normal height that can seat anywhere between 2 – 6 people comfortably. On the weekends, expect a pretty long line and a struggle to find a seat, but otherwise Chinatown is normally pretty empty during the week. Because most people go to hang out, the noise level is average to high. Great to hang out in groups! [DRINKS] Personally, I like the drinks, but always at MOST50% sugar. People have different preferences, but I think the drinks are solid, slightly more expensive than other places, but most people are willing to dish out a few more cents b/c they think it’s worth. I recommend the red bean slush if you want something aside from the typical milk tea! [ETC.] $ 10 minimum for card! Also the workers are really mean and rude ]: They yell out your order number, so make sure you pay attention! Also, you have to return the receipt, which is how they confirm that it’s indeed your order, so don’t throw it away LOL. OMGALSO the past several times I’ve been, the bathroom was filthy. Ew. OVERALL, Come to hang out and for the drinks, but the ambiance is a little weird and the service poor. Bring cash unless your friends are cool with Venmo!

You won’t find another coffee place where you see more young Asians hanging out and having a good time. We were visiting Houston’s Chinatown on New Year’s Day. This coffee house was probably busier than usual. Most people were chitchatting, and some were watching the Lakers and Celtics game on TV. We ordered a regular house coffee and another seemingly popular choice, the oolong milk tea. I would recommend asking for half sweetener for the milk tea. The tapioca was really good — chewy and sweet. Of course, if you like oolong tea, you’ll enjoy the distinct flavor it offers. They have a full menu of drinks. Definitely, we’ll come back and try something else, like the green tea tapioca.

Friends wanted to stop by to get tapioca & they picked this place out. Came in looking at the menu and suddenly my friend goes to me «you better know what you’re getting, that guy at register is rude.» Looked at him and he didn’t look approachable. Most cashiers at tapioca places are all smiling and happy-go-lucky, but this place is complete opposite. Got the sunshine pinapple: –drink is meh –tapioca was sweet and perfect. Not too hard, not too soft. Overall had better elsewhere.

This place is packed! What a long line! I am told that its worth the wait. Definitely trendy and hip spot. The menu is hanging on the wall. They have cold and hot drinks. Different variations of bubbles, beans, or jellies to add. You cban ecen custom make your drinks. I honestly had no idea what to order. There was so many drinks and I have no idea what is «Wow milk». Too much of a long line didn’t want to ask a million questions and hold up the line. So I order the classic milk tea with bubbles. Can’t go wrong with that right? Their milk tea is a little different than what I’ve tried at other places. They machine shake their drinks to make them frothy I’m guessing. For me the milk tea is too sweet, too creamy, and frothy. The sweetness drowns the tea and I barely taste tea. The bubbles are extra chewy and softer than other places. This is my first visit so next time I am willing to try something non-dairy or adjust my sugar level. Overall it was something new and an interesting experience.

I was thinking if Kungfu Tea deserved five stars, but I really do think there are no cons. I don’t know if this is my go to place, but I always find myself here. I really love their yogurt green tea. Tastes just like Yakult and reminds me of my childhood. Their milk tea and tapioca also hits the spot really well. The texture of the actual boba is perfect. Not too chewy not too soft. Can’t deny that this California brand really knows what they’re doing. The large is pretty filling and the prices are decent for what you get. Not the cheapest tapioca but you get your money’s worth. There’s a lot of indoor seating including high chairs, a sofa, and small tables too for independent study. Their wifi is also pretty fast. The only con would be the wait. It’s always packed but you can’t really blame them for having such amazing business. Parking also sucks but that’s just Dun Huang plaza for you. Side note: my sister got her purse stolen here right under her nose. Be careful in Chinatown or just anywhere.

Completely forgot to update my review after my horrible experience… I came here several times to study and do my homework or meet with my friends. Well one day, I needed to use the restroom, especially after drinking some coffee milk tea. Walked in the girls’ restroom to find NO toilet paper. Not even extras to refill on your own. I kindly notified the front desk if they could stock it. The staff just nodded«okay». It didn’t seem like he/she(sorry wasn’t exactly sure if the staff was a boy/girl) was gonna do it right away. He/she just continued what he/she was doing and I stood there thinking«okay maybe they will finish that and stock it later». I sat back down and waited for a good 20 minutes because I distracted myself with random Youtube videos and FB/IG newsfeed before entering the restroom. It was still empty… and no toilet paper was to be found… since I was feeling discomfort because it has been a while already. I left that place frustrated and annoyed. Mind you, it was not even busy… Anyway I told myself to never come here again to rely on for a place to study or stay for a long periods of time. Matter of fact there are plethora of teahouses in the same area. I will take my happy ass somewhere else where they could at least keep their bathroom stocked. I only gave two stars because 1 star for their oreo milk tea and 1 star for their pineapple tea. But honestly I don’t really«crave» or go out of my way to get it.

This place has a nice atmosphere and nice seating area. It has a great quality of drinks and a large variety. Definitely somewhere to take friends, or the start to introducing someone to tea/tapioca. **they have wifi!!! The boba is really well made because they make it every 2 hours and it’s coated in something sweet like honey and is absolutely fantastic right after a new batch is made. Although their tapioca is good, sometimes they mix the old and new batches together and ruins the quality of the whole drink. Would DEFINITELY recommend all of their drinks especially the passion fruit green tea. For the milks, chai milk, matcha milk, and oolong milk make a fantastic hot drink. Their slushes are also amazing. Their drinks are fresh and are made by shaking which is a interesting thing to watch.

My first Kung Fu milk tea ever! A bunch of varieties they offer, including Kung fu yogurt… and some other stuff. It’s nice that they let you decide whether you want sugar, ½ sugar, or no sugar. Same with the amt of ice you want. I went with the basic Kung Fu milk tea and herbal jelly, ½ sugar and less ice. And it was really good. You can taste the tea flavor enhanced by the herbal jelly. I would go back and try their other stuff like Kung Fu taro, or Kung Fu winter melon tea… etc. And lots of sitting at this place… good for hangouts!

3 stars for the drinks! Got the golden oolong and it was pretty good. They’re now charging $ 1 more for boba. Other than that, service is slow and rude. My friend asked for a cup of water and they gave her a mouth wash cup. And let’s be real, were in Houston — it’s hot and the two times I’ve been here there was no A/C.

There’s so many tea places in one block. How can you even choose?! Well each one has its own specialty drink. I usually get milk tea, so I can only review about that drink. The milk tea here does have a flare to it compared to other places. It’s just… Different. Maybe a little more floral? I can’t exactly put my thumb on it. I’m comparing this milk tea to Tap House’s milk tea. This place has that $$$$ mentality. What do I mean by that? Well, if you don’t specifically say the size, they’ll automatically give you a large. Tapioca comes with an extra charge. And you have to have a certain amount before you can use a card. Overall, that frustrates me a bit. Oh, and do NOT throw away your receipt or lose your receipt. You need it to get the drinks. There’s a bunch of signs that say don’t do this and don’t do that. Ummmm. Please don’t micromanage my bathroom habits. The milk tea is good. I’d probably not willingly go here unless someone else wanted to. But it’s not worth all this. I’d rather go to tap house. Maybe I’m just not getting their specialty drink. Or haven’t tried it yet.

Can’t get enough of this stuff! My favorite is the Strawberry Milk Slush with Pearls. It’s naturally sweetened and lactose-free so drink on my milk-fearing friends! The honey pearls are so addicting too — the right amount of chew with an amazing flavor! They don’t accept credit cards for purchases under $ 10. I’ve been there once where they run out of certain flavors but hopefully they’ve gotten better at that. Not a bad spot to hang out for a bit and chill. Don’t know why but they always charge me for a large and then give me a large when I swear I’m specifying a medium drink. I’d suggest making sure they repeat your order back to you.

I was so excited to finally be able to try out this place. I’ve heard such great things about them such as the tapioca is super fresh and this is the best place to get milk tea. I invited my sister and mom to try some with me and just from the outside, we could see there was quite a crowd inside. The interior looked new and clean. It would be a nice place to bring some friends and just sit and chill for a bit. The noise level is a bit loud because the blender is going off in the background and there are a lot of groups who mingle here. MILKTEA I was so disappointed when I tried the milk tea for the first time. Everyone keeps telling me they have the best milk teas, but it wasn’t there for me. It was a bit too sweet and the taste of the tea was just weird. The tapioca wasn’t good at all! It was a bit on the hard side and chewing it, it had this strange taste. like walking into an incense house or something. It was just weird. GREENMILKTEA The green tea wasn’t the prominent taste and that was strange because it is called green milk tea. It just tasted like the milk tea, but with a little hint of green tea. I was really let down by the flavor. Overall, my experience here was disappointing. I don’t understand what the hype is all about. I wanted to like this place so bad. I thought I would find my new milk tea craving, but I was sadly let down. Everything about this place is either average or below average. The service and ambiance was average. The quality of drinks was definitely below average.
