My coworkers who live in Houston told me that I absolutely had to try a Kolache from the Kolache Factory, and I’m glad I did! Being a newbie, I didn’t know what to expect. We ordered a dozen savory Kolaches for breakfast, I ate 3 of them and my favorite was the egg & sausage, BBQ, and the jalapeño. The texture of the bread was soft and fluffy, the lightly sweet flavor went well with the savory filling. Kolache to me = smaller, healthier version of a calzone. I like how there are options without cheese. Will definitely come back when I’m in town, as I’m now a Kolache fan!

Absolutely love this place and visit more than once each time we are in town. I haven’t had anything I didn’t like, but my favorite is the BBQ. The breakfast items are delicious too. For something different that is yummy with a kick, try the Jalapeño Popper.

My first experience here. The cashier was really friendly and insightful! I told her I needed a moment because I never been there before and asked for recommendation and she thoroughly recommended different sections base on taste preferences. The way the store organized their kolache is probably base on taste bud, too, which is smart. I looked on the salty side and then the sweet side and I just picked one from each. They were delicious!!!

Okay, I’ve been here several times now. So, this review is overdue! This place is great! Breakfast or lunch, they will do the trick. If you have never had a kolache, you need to try one! or three!!! lol The restaurant has seating or to go, and is very clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. And the food is a good value, portion size is nice and at a fair price. While I’m sure that my description will not give adequate credit to just how they taste, here goes anyway. It’s a kind of oval/egg shaped bread/pastry that they stuff with all kinds of fillings, both savory and sweet. The bread itself is about 3⁄8 of an inch thick and fits in the palm of your hand. I’ve had several varieties now, some with meat, egg and cheese, some with just meat and cheese and have been lucky enough to get them coming right out of the oven on several different occasions(probably not much luck involved, as they are making them fresh all day!!!) And they also have strudels with different fruit and cheese fillings. I’ve only been to this location, and it’s fantastic, but, I’ll try others for sure when I happen upon them!!!
