Kimberly at Tranquility Salon And Day Spa

I went to Kimberly based on positive Unilocal reviews, so I’m disappointed to say that she did not meet my expectations. I went in for a dramatic cut of my long hair to a short style. I showed her a picture of the style I wanted, and she did look at it many times during the cut, but the result was far from it. The cut did not have as many layers and was too short! Additionally, she continued to blow out my hair, though I told her several times that I would like the style to dry naturally. I have a feeling she must have realized she cut it too short and then tried to convince that it was better that way. Unfortunately, I will have to find someone else who can hopefully give me ideas on how to handle my hair until it grows out.

Kimberly has moved to The Parlour salon, located off Richmond Ave, between 59 and Montrose.
While I still think she’s a cool chick, the last time I stopped in for a haircut, I left a little disappointed. Her rate has increased, but instead of informing me via e-​mail, which is how I make my appointments with her, or right away, upon my arrival, I wasn’t told until I was in the shampoo chair. Her rate for a woman’s haircut is now $ 85. That’s a steep jump from the $ 50 she used to charge, while at Wavelengths salon, from my previous review.
The cut itself was good enough. If I had to rate this experience, it would get a D for disappointment, unfortunately.

I give Kimberly, 5 stars, 2thumbs up and a huge applause of my gratitude: D She is outstanding and I can’t thank her enough. Every time she does my hair I feel refreshed and amazing. the way a new hair cut should make you feel. I always look forward to my appointment and I always walk out smiling. I’m so happy that I was lucky enough to meet Kimberly and I hope that this review helps anyone that is wanting and looking for a talented hairstylist!

I have been going to Kimberly at Axis since about 1991. I now live in LA and STILL have not found a hairdresser anywhere nearly as talented as her. She not only has serious skills (personality and style) but she also knows how to adjust any style cut to compliment your face. I get a cut from her every time I’m in town. Love her!

i’ve been to hair dressers in ny, san francisco, los angeles… but kimberly is *truly* the most trusted one i have ever been to. i always go back to her. she can translate an idea into a very cool look that’s also flattering with my face. she not only has an amazing personality but also great style, a great aesthetic and really knows her stuff. i’m a long time customer and plan to keep it that way. here’s to my next trip to houston !
