KFC

Hey foodies! So right after my smoothie… I decided I needed protein. What’s better then grilled chicken! Sadly, this location does not have grilled chicken. I ended up getting original two legs not my favorite, but ooh well. The service was fast for to go around 11am. If you are looking for fast food that’s warm go for it.

Relatively clean and location that’s only been open for a few years in the Sawyer Heights area in front of the Target shopping center. They’ve gone with a modern design that doesn’t really convey «KFC» but I guess it works. I only go through the drive thru or grab take out. The tables never seem clean enough to eat on.
Service is reasonably fast, but I get the impression that they don’t turn over food very quickly. The chicken I’ve gotten from here is usually lukewarm. They’re pretty stingy with the sauces for the chicken strips, but there’s a Taco Bell in here too, and you can get their sauces right at the condiment station without any trouble.

Don’t order both KFC and Taco Bell. They will give you half your order and send you on your way. Plus they are super stingy with their sauces. I ordered two tacos and only got one taco sauce. The girl even had rolled her eyes at me for asking for sauce. Probably the worst customer service I’ve had in along time

This location is a franchise and does not accept coupons. Their response was that coupons are accepted at corporate stores only. The drive up server was friendly, but they still messed up my order. I was given the wrong side.

Terrible. Terrible. Terrible. I live in The Heights and frequent this place hoping it gets better. The Drive Thru Service always. And I do mean always gets my order wrong. I just left there 30
Mins ago and ordered a 3 piece tender with fries. And a soft fajita beef taco. I got ground beef tacos. No hot sauces if any kind. When I asked for honey sauce for tenders you would think I was asking for gold. The tenders came with soggy fries. Tough old tenders. And a melted chocolate chip cookie. I just tried to call them and let them
Know my order was wrong. But after 3 calls. Nobody has answered. TERRIBLE!!!

On the plus side, the staff was friendly and the food was fast, warm and tasty. On the downside, the seating area was filthy. Every table had crumbs, spills and trash on it and the drink station was surrounded in a huge puddle from some sort of leakage. I can only hope they were short staffed today, otherwise sparing one person for a quick cleanup sweep should have been a priority!

Horrible. Reporting them to the city of Houston health department. Mashed potatoes were more watery than potato soup. Just plain nasty. Service is terrible. Manager, if there is one should be fired. Store should be shut down.

wow is this how KFC/​TACO BELL runs a business! I have been here several times, I lo’ve their pot pies, my last 2 visits I thought I had mistakingly walked into a local bar, music was so loud in the dining area, I could not carry on a conversation. It was 6:00 pm and not very busy, while I was eating I had to throw away most of the crust because it was not completely done, I noticed that my tin bowl was cupped upward, at first I thought it was a deformed tin, but it was quite obvious it was intentional when the person I was dining with, his pot pie tin was the same way, in order to diminish food cost, like they do on there side dishes that they charge 1.99 for 3 tablespoons of coleslaw. Horrible atmosphere, raw food, cheap obvious ways to cut corners, reccessing containers, and that awful spork, no butter for rolls. You’ve been given far too many chances KFC, after calling 5 – 6 times and informing you about this location, you inform me that you are finally visiting this store this week, we’ll good for you, too little, too late. your manager told me that this was corporate order to push the tins up. my suggestion is to not make it so obvious, invest in smaller cool bowls, no one would notice and provide a real spoon. also when I order 5 $ till ups I have 2 go back to register 2 get my cookie, they never put it with my food. Customer service does not exist.

Terrible!
I drove 20 mins away for KFC and this location closes at 10pm but the Taco Bell is still open. It makes no sense why this happens and not posted.
Then I order taco bell food and they mess up my order and left items out of my bag!

I had a terrible experience at this KFC this evening with the food, cleanliness and hygiene.
From the outside, this location looks nice. It’s been recently remodeled as a combo KFC/​Taco Bell and the interior design is more contemporary than other TBs or KFCs I’ve eaten at before.
I started noticing little things while I was finding a place to sit. All of the silverware, sauces, etc… were either empty or had one or two packets. I had to search for a clean table. The windowsills were dirty.
I ordered a 2 piece meal, which in my case came with a breast and a tiny piece of some part of the chicken (it may have been a wing?) My chicken was over seasoned, greasier than normal and dark in color. The Colonel would not have approved…
When I went to wash my hands after the meal, the bathroom reeked and the floor was wet. When I opened the stall, what do I see? An overflowing toilet with «human waste» floating. I could tell it had been this way for a while by the pungent smell and due to the fact that there were wet shoe prints coming the bathroom out into the restaurant. I said something to the cashier (high school aged kid) when I walked out, and he mumbled something.

Will not be going back. Poor service, cold food, missing items, incorrect items, and miscounted items. When we called to complain, they hung up and left the phone off the hook. Overall, just no desire to satisfy customers.
We sent someone to pick up food for the office at 6pm. She first went through the drive through, and they told her they had run out of chicken and she’d have to come inside. She parked and went inside where they seemed surprised that she was willing to wait while they made more food. There were only 2 customers, but the staff spent their time gossiping instead of addressing anyone waiting in the store.
After more than 20 minutes, they packed the order. When checking out what was packed, there were items in the sack that we did not order, which right off indicated it was wrong. After they corrected the visible errors, our intrepid food runner told them that if it was wrong, that they’d get a call.
Driving the 5 minutes back to the office apparently was too much for most of the packed food as it was already cold. How could it be cold? It was supposedly made fresh?
None of the five orders were correct. The 10 wings had 7 wings in them. Some of the sides were missing. Some people got macaroni instead of corn in their box. And all of it was cold.
Calling back, we asked for a manager. When the «manager» got on, we asked for her name. She said to someone in the background «they want to know my name…» And then hung up. All subsequent attempts to call over the next 30 minutes gave a busy tone.
Just stay away. Don’t waste your money.

So don’t go here after 10pm even thou the KFC website clearly states that they are open until 2am because you will not be getting KFC only Tacosmell!!!

This is probably one of the worst kfc out there they have horrible food the two times that I have been there. They are all soggy and always forget something whether its straws or a side. I don’t go very often to get fried chicken but the next time it wont be there

A few months ago, I was craving some good fried chicken. I used to love going to KFC and getting the extra crispy chicken… I love the crunch and juiciness! Unfortunately, I was utterly disappointed when I went to this locaiton to get some fried chicken to-​go.
Disappointments:
(1) Now with the grilled chicken hype going on, this menu only had regular recipe or grilled, no extra cripsy for a choice
(2) The drumsticks were small and measly
(3) All the chicken was soggy, probably from the bucket that they put takeout in… no holes in the bucket to let the steam off
It’s not as good as I remembered it. Boo.
