KFC

6-​25-​2014 My brother and I stopped by here to have lunch. It was 10 dollars all you can eat buffet. Yes I said buffet at KFC. We couldn’t believe it either. They do not have a feed trough. You go to counter order your plate. When done you go back to counter and they will load you up again. Nothing sitting under lights or steam tables. I wish more locations would do this. The place was spotless restrooms clean. If you know me original KFC is my favorite so its fair to say I was in heaven.

To think that I waited for over 3 years for them to complete the building of this KFC in this area. After closing one of the best one in Cypress on Cypress North Houston, I was certain that this one was going to be it’s new replacement. Boy was I wrong.
From the very first day this location opened its doors it has been horrible. At first everything tasted like metal. I was certain that that may have come from the new equipment that they were trying to break in. But now with at least 2 years in the making, it still has a weird taste to it at this location. It’s only been 1 time that I’ve gone and the food tasted up to KFC par.
The service. OMG the service! Sigh. It’s pitiful. There was only 1 manager they had that actually cared about the customers and I don’t think this Spanish gentleman is there anymore. Every single other manager there could completely care less of what is going on there, other than to prance around with a manager title. When it’s time to close, they are closing on time and will not cook anything fresh after 8:30 PM. If they run out of food, so be it, they are going to get off in time here.
This place has an all you can eat service I believe placed in to compete with the Hartz up the street. I’ve never tried it, but from my understanding it works by going back to the counter with your receipt and replacing the order every time. Ha, whatever floats your boat.
My very last visit, they told me and I quote. «The chicken is fresh, its only been up for an hour.» Yeah, I drove off. Good money for leftover food. Not this guy.

Been here twice– the slowest service I’ve ever had. Can all the fast food joints get together & take notes from Wendy’s please? They take care of me in under 2 minutes every time. Professionals… yep.

My partner and I stopped in on 05÷21÷11 for a quick bite between doing some installation jobs. One of the cleanest KFC’s I have been in, and good cold air conditioning on such a hot day too. Kendra and her colleagues were efficient and very friendly while taking care of our orders. The food was incredibly hot when we received it. I had the Boneless Breast combo meal, my partner had the 2-​pc white meat combo. My meal was so hot that I had to let it «rest» before digging in to the moist and tender food. My partner quickly scarfed up his food and was enjoying it a lot. Went to the Ladies Room to clean up after lunch and the restroom was immaculate. If you’re looking for a quick meal, in clean surroundings by friendly staff this place has my recommendation.
