The old location now is called«Tempura» and this place has a great middle eastern lunch buffet. It’s delicious and fresh!!! It’s also a great deal because the lunch buffet is $ 9.99 and that also includes your drink. The buffet also comes with fresh Naan. It’s not a big buffet but what they do have is good. I love this place for lunch!

Bomb af food. They have amazing customer service! They even took the time to decorate the plate for us! My gf and I got the tandoori chicken with yellow rice and naan on the side. The naan(peta bread) was perfectly cooked and fluffy. The rice was amazing and the chicken was the best! Juicy and tender as well as flavorful. If you haven’t tried this place yet, just go! It’s great. 5 stars.

I’ve been to Kabob Korner a few times, the latest at their new location which seems to have the same basic setup, furniture and décor from their previous rendition. The menu appeared to be basically the same as well. According to their website, they also have a location in Katy now. I tried the hummus and the beef seekh kabob. Both of these were good, but I wouldn’t put them at the top, as far as others I’ve tried in Houston. For my main dish, I ordered from the Pakistani side of the printed menu and had the beef behari kabob. After taking the first bite, I realized that I had ordered it the last time I came as well. It is marinated in «special» Pakistani spices according to the cashier and it’s a little on the spicy side, so that’s my main reason for ordering it. The beef is extremely tender and has a pretty unusual texture, almost powdery tasting when taking a bite, so that is the only part that is difficult to get past. I get a part of it has been tenderized to death almost. Prices are a little on the high side for the area. I guess that helps them maintain a certain clientele. Customer service has always been friendly each time I’ve visited. Although, the latest time I visited, this counter-style restaurant seems to almost try to be waitress-style, since they ask you to order at counter, then pay when you finish. But, on my latest visit, the cashier comes to check on you a few times throughout the meal, as a typical waitress would. I would prefer a restaurant to either be counter or waitress, but not both. Overall, if you’re looking for a clean, modern restaurant that serves a fusion of Mediterranean, Indian and Pakistani cuisine, you should try them out.

NEWLOCATION. across the street from the old location. Anytime I come to Houston I make sure I stop here. Love the food! Service had always be GREAT, but this last time it was noticeable the owners were not in. The staff was young, and one couple was turned away Monday night 9:45 pm and I know it the owners would be in, those people would have eaten. 3÷14÷16

Finally went with a coworker for lunch. This was my first time at the new location. The building and dining area are very nice. We both shared a grilled mix platter and a basket of nan. It was well worth the 15min wait. Staff was very attentive.

That was a 3rd time I had bad experience in my life buying the nan from kabab Korner every time I ordered and brought home ready to eat nan was burned, that makes my lunch and dinner horrible, Also last time I took my family to eat when they open a new location by Joe’s smart shop we were about to finish our lunch and a waiter brought me the bill to pay very nice way she said u about to finish I thought to bring u the bill before you ask for it sir. she didn’t even give us a chance to order some things sweet after our meals. Thanks kabab Korner we look forward not be returned again.

I enjoyed their samosas(very filling, comes with two different dips; I believe one is tamarind and the other cucumber). The naan and hummus are my favorites! Have not tried their entrees yet, but I plan to come back. Prices are reasonable and I love the interior of the new location.

It’s the perfect blend of Mediterranean food and Hindu style cuisine. There pizza is incredible and they make one of there better shawarma’s in town. The mix grill is simply perfect, delicious chicken, kabobs grilled to perfection, and a healthy quantity.

Ok. The food here was good but not great. However, the servers and staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home. They were very kind and friendly. If not for food, for service alone, they should get a five star rating. Also, food was presented to us very nicely. It’s very unlike all the south asian restaurants up and down Hilcroft. I was impressed! Needless to say it’s refreshing to see such nice people working at desi restaurants because I’m not used to it in the city.

Came to eat again tonight at this awful restaurant with rude customer service! As usual they fought with me for just trying to change a mixed grill order to Bihari kabob and they yelled at me saying«we don’t do that here, you have to order both!» That was the rudest thing ever and the manager who has a lisp is the meanest most cold hearted person!!! If you want great customer service and food I recommend going to Mezban it is the same type of cuisine just accord the road in a different shopping center, way better service and they do allow you to change a meal to another.

My wife and I have been coming here for years, but the new place is not the Kabob Korner we know and loved. They are now attempting to turn this place into a fancy restaurant. But this should have remained a Pakistani/Mediterranean fast food place. Service also needs some improving. Dined in last Monday and ordered Beef nehari. My food arrived 20 minutes later and was beef bihari. I told the server I ordered nehari and she looked at me like I was crazy then showed me the ticket. I once again advised her I ordered nehari and she finally went to the back. 15 minutes later, after my wife had already eaten I got my food. When i went to the counter the cashier did apologize for the mistake but no deductions were taken off the meal. We ended up paying over $ 30 at a fast food place. I will return because its very close to home, but I do not suggest driving far to eat here.

I used to really like this place. Before I was paying 10 $ just for the meat and not for rice and rice being 3 $ just to add to a meal. And before their food quality was 100% in my opinion now it’s a good 40% the food quality has dropped so badly. The only thing that hasn’t changed is probably the naan. Oh and the very bad costumer service, I miss when the owner actually used to be around. I’ll just stop coming in general, for a college student in a middle class area such as where this is located, it’s not convenient for me. I guess the owner forgot this isn’t Katy like the new location we aren’t rich.

This is probably the best restaurant I have been to the behari kabob is to die for also the hummus and the naan is the best I had in all of Houston so I recommend this restaurant to anybody that likes south Asian food and Mediterranean foods

We dine with them pretty regularly. The first time eating at the new location, across the street from the old location, was a few weeks ago. The meal was pretty good, standard middle eastern fare including gyro platter, beef kefta, fresh naan(best in the city IMHO), mango lassi shakes, and homemade hummus. Not sure if they were working out details at the new location, but it seemed that the line was moving a little bit slower, where we ordered, but not exceptionally slow. Also it was Thanksgiving day, and we didn’t feel like eating a traditional Thanksgiving meal. We were just happy that they were open. Also, try the samosas. They’re like a deep fried potato-filled appetizers. They come with a sweet sauce and a spicy sauce and make sure you keep the sauces so you can use it with your meal. It’s just that good Someone did mention that the food seems to be Americanized, and I don’t necessarily think that’s a bad thing. To call it Middle Eastern food is probably a misnomer. I believe a more accurate definition would be South Asian, Middle Eastern, and perhaps even north African. It’s just a lot of different types of foods that are mixed-in on their menu. They do ask you whether not you want your food spicy or what level of spice in this or that. I always go for medium – and they mix in that appropriate level of spices. A special note is the butter sauce, yogurt and also that tzatziki sauces which are are really good. Someone mentioned an attitude with the people that work there, and that’s never been our experience. We are always made to feel welcome, and really enjoy the service, hospitality and the food. Give them a try. There are not that many classy establishment in that section of town. These are hard-working, family-people that provide a delicious meal and a relaxed, and comfortable atmosphere.

I wrote a review on their old Unilocal!Page, just after they had moved locations. You can read that review there for all the food we had. This time around, just as delicious. I had an appetizer salad with gyro that could easily feed two people. My bubbie had his tandoori chicken wth basmati rice. I think he literally cleaned the meat of each bone! ! We love the food here can’t wait to come back again :-)

I would have given them 5 stars if they served Paya. This place has a wonderful array of authentic dishes. I was happily surprised to find this little jewel hiding in my neighborhood. Great place for a date or family night. I recommend dressing respectfully. They offer to go orders also. Friendly, courteous staff. I will definitely make this a frequent stop and recommend to others.

Looks fantastic from outside. The food was good but basic. It’s Americanized Indian cuisine. The staff(women) are a little stuck up because of the cultural differences. Had something in my water and they forgot my side sauce that I specifically asked for and gave me an attitude when I confronted them. I will stick to the hole in the wall down the street. Good for people new to Indian food or people who like fast Indian food.

We eat here like once a month. Behari kabob is a must try if it’s you’re first visit. Their iced tea is… different???

The Indian food was good as usual, no complaints there. However the gyro platter was like obeying served the left over bits and pieces that fell off the skewer, it over cooked, oily and very salty. Would have been better to have the spicy gyro sandwich instead.
