Hair cut here was really good I felt pampered and nazi who did my hair was a doll. Can’t complain they have Aveda products and aroma therapy.

Very pleased with my experience today. The salon is nicely decorated and welcoming, the staff friendly and helpful, the nail technician did a great job with my pedicure and the price was reasonable. Bonus points for the unexpected: free mimosas, hot wax treatment included in the ped, and no tipping. I definitely recommend Josephine’s.

Jay thanks again! You exceeded my expectations and my color is amazing! Love the highlights! So glad I left it in your hands. Extremely professional, I felt very cared for. Maybe keep the volume at the color bar down a notch or 2… We didn’t have any control over that conversation though. It was hard to listen to. I’ve been on the other end just like that woman’s dtr. There’s a time and place to talk. That should have been shut down ASAP! J u rock!

I had my hair just completely hacked off by someone who should never be legally allowed to touch hair. I was in tears when I headed straight for Josephine’s on Eldridge tonight to see if any semblance of a hair style could be salvaged. Kim was my stylist and she SAVEDME. My hair style is actually cute like how I originally wanted it, and trust me, not anyone could have made that happen with how short it had been hacked and sawed off. I feel like she worked a miracle for me, and am eternally grateful. I just wanted to share, and say thank you. I really felt like she cared and gave me her best. I will definitely be back to see her.

I absolutely love this salon! I’ve been coming here for over a year now. My mom and my sister both come as well. Jay and Christy are the best! Christy did my prom hair and it looked wonderful and now Jay is our go to stylist simply because we all like seeing the same person but Christy is wonderful too!

I went in to get my hair colored and cut. My stylist did a good job, but the color wasn’t quite what I asked for. So I waited a bit to see the color in different lights. When I ultimately decided I didn’t like it, I called Josephine’s to ask to get my hair toned again to make it a cooler color which is what I had asked for. To be clear, this review is directed at the manager. My stylist was good. However, the manager who answered the phone told me that since two weeks had gone by I would have to pay and service would not be complimentary. I told her that I am from out of town and a busy student, and that I don’t feel that’s a fair policy since there’s nothing that would’ve changed my hair in two weeks. After arguing with her, she told me she would consult with other supervisors and get back to me in two days. She never called me back. This is highly unprofessional and to be honest, a poor move on the part of a manager. I know that toner is not a big cost at all, and that it is not worth losing a customer over. I will not be going back. That was a reflection of very poor customer service. I came from out of town specifically to go to Josephine’s, and I can’t believe this is the service I received.

I got a gift card from Josephine’s on Eldridge for a 90 minute facial(my first one) and I absolutely LOVED it and now, almost a week later, my face feels so well hydrated. I got a recommendation to purchase an Aveda gel face wash which I did and I think that has helped also with keeping my skin hydrated and not feeling so dry throughout the day. I loved my first experience and am definitely going back for more!!! Thank you!

I’ve been going to Josephine’s for a few years now. Usually I call and go with whoever is available for my timeframe, and I’ve never been disappointed. Everyone is super professional, friendly, accommodating and clearly intentional about making lifelong customers. Plus, the fact that Josephine’s offers you a beverage(or multiple) during your visit, hand massages while you get your hair washed, offers discounts on day-of services, gives referral credits($ 25!!) and is gratuity-free keeps me coming back again and again in addition to the great stylists. Most recently, Amy cut my hair and did an IMPECCABLE job. She was recommended to me by the receptionist as someone who does well with layers, and boy did she do a great job on my hair! I keep receiving compliments everywhere I go – that is saying something! I look forward to my return visit!

Josephine’s was recommended to me by a coworker and even though it’s not really close to where i live, the drive there was completely worth it. The salon is beautiful, with high ceilings and very open spaces. From the moment you enter they offer you a drink. Natasha was my stilyst. She understood exactly what i wanted. My favorite part was when they washed my hair. The sink area is semi dark which makes it very relaxing and they even give you a hand massage and oils to smell in order to make your experience even more peaceful. I am definitely coming back, it was a wonderful experience.

OHMYGOODNESS! Can I just say how amazing this place is… you walk through those doors and immediately you’re greeted by a warm and friendly face! I went in to correct an Ombré from Hell! I had my hair done the night before for my friends wedding(which I’m in) and the other place(which I won’t metion) RUINED my hair. My husband said I looked those lollipops that are multicolored… it was just so bad and so bleached and my hair and soul where so sad :(lol However, the angels at Josephines helped me out; I was greeted by a sweet and welcoming woman(Don’t remember her name) she assessed my hair and told me we could fix it … then she handed me to the OMBREGODDESS –Patricia!!! Patricia worked so hard to fix every detail of my hair, she made me laugh and relaxed me through the process. I couldn’t have asked for a better stylist and experience; I got wine, a hand massage, a warm towel on my head and above all AMAZING customer service. I highly highly recommend this place to everyone! It’s worth every single penny!

New to Houston and needed a quick trim of the locks before my wedding. I wanted to keep my hair long, but have it be a bit more healthy. Amy was great, and I loved my cut! She decided to do a few face framing layers in the front, and I absolutely love it! It is the perfect subtle change. She also styled my hair-gave me a beautiful blowout! I was shocked at how much I loved it. I guess I should mention that I have a lot, a lot, a lot of hair(that is pretty coarse). My hair was so soft, shiny, and bouncy upon leaving Josephine’s! Everyone at Josephine’s was also friendly, and the overall aesthetic of the place was very calming(especially for a shy person like me). Loved the complementary aromatherapy and hand massage. Will definitely be going back for my next haircut!

Lovely aveda salon! Really nice staff. Pretty space with impressive chandeliers. The tip is included in the pricing here, starting women’s haircut price is 50 $. For blow dry style no shampoo it was 25 $ since they didnt need to wash my hair but with wash would be 35 $. I was happy with my experience. Unilocal also had a 10 perc off coupon.

Poor management… I have been a client here for years … Today will be the last time I step foot in this place again … Upon my arrival for color and cut … All of a sudden the girl can color my hair … No hair cut… Who does that??? Then the manager ??? We will try to find someone to cut your hair ??? Forget it !!! The experience haha … It’s a shame … My rating is zero–

I just can’t get enough of this place! They are awesome at everything! I just got a massage there for the first time. I have had 30 – 40 massages in my lifetime and this was the best one yet! Troy is amazing and he knew where all my knots were and worked on them without hurting me so I’m knot free now!. I will definitely be going back for another massage!

I love this salon! I’ve been coming here for 6 years and I refuse to try any other place. This is an aveda concept salon, so all the products they use are aveda and they sell the entire line. They really pamper you here. Complimentary infused waters, coffee, mimosas or wine AND a hand massage during your hair wash. The stylists are all very nice and talented. I recommend Trisha! They also give you a free gift on your birthday and 20% off your hair services if you book 6 appointments.

I really wanted to love this salon, everyone was very nice and its a good location. I had an appointment recently and paid more than I’ve ever paid to get my hair done($ 200+) and its the worst dye job I’ve ever had(I added a picture). I supposedly got a full highlight and lowlight but she didn’t cover any of my roots, it looks really bad. I went back the next day, which I’ve never done, and there was a young girl and guy at the front desk that were awesome. I was very nervous to go back and complain but they were very nice about it. They called a superior over and he was a little dismissive, acted like it wasn’t that big of a deal but agreed she ‘should’ve used more foils’; I didn’t realize I had to specify that I wanted my roots covered when paying for a full highlight. He offered to ‘fix’ it another day but I decided to take the partial refund instead; even after the partial refund I way, way over paid. At the time I was just happy to get anything back but the more I think about it the more annoyed I get. If you’re going to charge $ 200 to do someone’s hair, be worth it. There’s no way she didn’t see how bad it looked while she was drying and straightening and she still let me leave like that. It’s my fault for not letting them fix it but I really didn’t want to spend another 3 hours there when it should’ve been done right the first time, it’s ridiculous to pay that kind of money and have to go back. Despite the horrible highlight job I still rated them two stars because the girl that helped me with the refund was so sweet and because I liked the haircut.

I’m so impressed with this place. Reasonably priced and a haircut includes a hair mask and hand massage. On top of that, they don’t accept tips. What!?! That’s amazing. Ro was my stylist. He did a great job. He kept cutting again and again as I decided to go shorter and shorter. Never once did he act put out and seemed to truly want me to be happy. He was kind and the right kind of talkative. I left with a darling haircut! If you try them out tell them Catha Jaynes sent you. The offer referral discounts. Sign up online and you get $ 25 off your first visit. I am looking forward to trying out their spa services soon.

I’ve been coming here on and off since 2008(moved away for a time). It has always been quality and classy, in my opinion. I only ever get a haircut and style but I find their prices are reasonable. A haircut is $ 55+ depending on how experienced your stylist is. And FYI — for as long as I can remember they do not accept tips. Still don’t. For the past year or so I have been going to Addy(Addie? sorry!) and she is great. She helped me transition from a pixie cut back to shoulder length as fashionably as possible. I would definitely recommend!
