Very nice quiet chic location for a meal. They don’t have a kitchen so they only serve pre made cold foods like sandwiches, tacos, salads, etc but you get to enjoy the modern architecture of the building. My coconut shrimp salad was delicious! It was a little hard to eat because the plates were smaller and you have to cut up the romaine but it comes with perfectly seasoned coconut shrimp, a crunch with the jimica and tomatoes, a very good vinaigrette dressing and some sparkling mandarin oranges! To top it off, there were a few pieces of crunchy tortilla or fried chips in the salad to throw it all together. Wish everything was mixed and chopped up for me to make it easier to eat! But delicious and light and fresh nonetheless!

This café has really good food. We had a soup and sandwich/salad combo. the Lemon artichoke soup was so good we had to find the chef and compliment him! and the chicken salad sandwich was also good and generous. we will definitely be eating there again — it’s quick and easy. also the atmosphere was peaceful and quiet.

What a great little place to meet up with a couple of friends for some casual dining. This place is cute, friendly staff and food was surprisingly delish… Definately will come back. Make sure you visit the restroom… it’s the clean and stylish… Very Americanized Asian Fusion…

A hidden gem! Beautiful zen location with a gorgeous view of the misty garden. Interesting menu of Asian-inspired fresh food options like salads, soups and sandwiches. The beef on the salad was tender, although dressing was a bit oily and lacked flavor. The 3-taco plate portion was enough to satiate my husbands appetite. Delicious cookies(loved chocolate chunk) and Chinese teas. You order at the counter.

Their taco is super good. The rice in the shrimp wrap was very hard. I don’t know if that’s on purpose… But order taco for sure!

Small café with 10 tables for 4. Walk up to counter to place and pay for your order. Server brings food to your table. I would give 3 stars if all the food was prepared on sight. My Thai Coconut shrimp tacos I had were cold, and not crispy. I’m speculating that there is not deep fryer on sight, rather a small prep kitchen. The Lemon artichoke soup was delicious. My friends Wasabi Cesare chicken wrap had no hint of wasabi taste in it. Just tasted like a typical Caesar Chicken wrap. Food served on attractive, but disposable dinner ware. Casual, and affordable. Not impressed enough to seek this place out again.

Jade Stone Café is a wonderful place to have lunch when you are in Midtown or the museum district. The sandwiches are hearty and delicious and the atmosphere is great with the huge windows looking out across a lush landscape. Every 12 minutes or so the fog drifts down from the fountain on the second floor roof and it makes it even more special. Of the sandwiches, my personal favorite is the Curry Chicken Salad. I was afraid that it would be overwhelming when I first tried it, but it is seasoned perfectly and the addition of the mango chutney really makes the flavor pop. I also think they have the best BLT with avocado in town and all of the sandwiches are served with a side of kettle chips and a tasty sesame slaw. They have delicious soups and baked goods for dessert and recently started serving Katz’s coffee, and you can never go wrong with coffee from Katz. I cant’ write about Jade Stone and leave out the wonderful service. Phaedra is always helpful and friendly. The building is designed beautifully and there is a gallery upstairs that is worth the price of admission for the exhibits shown there. If you don’t feel like paying to see the exhibit, they usually showcase art on the first floor and you should definitely walk around, check the view from upstairs, and have a seat and wait for the fog to come up out of the fountain and find your Zen. The only thing I would change about the café are the abbreviated hours –Tuesday — Sunday, 11:00 am — 2:00 pm and closed Mondays and major holidays, but it does make me appreciate it all the more when I go.

Food pretty good, nice people working there. Pretty view of the houses across the street. Gorgeous space, of course, but most tables either don’t have a good view out of the windows or are cheek by jowl with the masses of people lined up at the service counter. I might have given it five stars if I could always be guaranteed the table in the window corner, but no such luck — the place was mobbed. I’m glad they are doing good business, though.

Finally, a beautiful art space with a café that isn’t in a dreary, stifling basement with pedestrian offerings. The jade stone café is refreshing. A sophisticated setting with pleasant and helpful staff. Sandwiches were served on «fallen» bamboo plates with wooden utensils. Limited menu for opening weekend. Curry chicken sandwich was great. How uplifting to be able to enjoy something beyond the banal.
